I restarted AC Odyssey. I wanted to see what was the lowest level I could complete the main quest, by doing only compulsory quests. Turned out to be level 37. I did a couple of unnecessary quests, and killed a lot of mercenaries, so you could probably get there by level 35 or 36. It's sometimes hard to know which seemingly side quests are actually compulsory, and the online game guides tend the copy each other and repeat the same misinformation. Then trouble is, the main quests give you 10 times the XP you get for side quests. The only real problem is you don't find enough ancient tablets to upgrade the Adrestia, which makes the compulsory sea battles a chore. My save file says it took 23 hours 15 minutes, but a lot of that is browsing the net or walking the dog, with the game still running. i.imgur.com/RGeZ2Su.jpg

olnorton Is stealth still a requirement in these newer AC games? I played Origins a bit and enjoyed it but the game was such a drastic change from the earlier AC games, that I did not know if I should be stealthy or just be loud and cause a ruckus? I eventually want to retry Origins at a later date, and I own Odyssey which I also want to try but I don't know how to approach the games. These games now are sort of like action rpg's now. I even heard Odyssey has dialogue choices.

I played a full on Stealth Kassandra, a full on lord of flames warrior with Alexios and a couple of half and half bow plus stealth Kassandra's plus a CRIT build that is probably my favourite. It is fun to completely stealth fortresses etc. but it is also pretty fun to just walk in and attack everything with swords alight. The latter does not always work as there are enemies when not playing NG+ that will have you getting wiped pretty quickly or running away especially early on. The game drops lots of armour that you can piece together to build how you want to play and has some armour set collectibles that enhance one or two particular abilities significantly. Of all the games it is my favourite for combat, some of the abilities your "Spear" gives you are lots of fun if a bit far fetched. I played origins once and have never played it again, I have played Odyssey 5 time or 4.5. Odyssey is limted as an RPG but yes there are dialogue choices and even so called romances which are really just flings.

Like I said Origin, Odyssey, and Valhalla are such huge departures from the classic AC games that I thought the games were meant to be played as a in your face warrior. My favorite part of AC games is the stealth. I own Odyssey but I mainly bought that game for the remaster of AC3 which was included in a Steam bundle. In the future I'll retry Origins. Chronologically speaking which game comes first timeline wise Origins or Odyssey?

Here's a video of me taking down a fort if you want to have a look in "mainly stealth" Valhalla I didn't do a lot of stealth I am embraced the Viking way.

Chronologically speaking which game comes first timeline wise Origins or Odyssey? Odyssey takes place a couple of centuries before Origins. Odyssey happens during Peloponnesian Wars, so it's 420-ish BC, while Origins is like 50-40BC

Origins and Odyssey can be played mostly with stealth, for the most part (some bosses are a bit "out there" and don't allow it, especially in Origins). Just make sure you focus on a stealth/archery build and keep your stabby-stabby upgraded. Odyssey is set about 400 years before Origins.

Hogwarts LegacyI made a witch and she's had her first day at school doing Charm and DADA classes. I sucked at using Accio in a mini-game until I realized I had to tap it again to stop because I had enabled a feature in the settings for toggle spells (instead of holding the button). DADA was easier, I already had combat experience with the intro. Now I can explore the wizard village, lots of places to go, probably a lots of Revelio usage too.

Company of Heroes
The next map was to retake a road and establish a safe route for convoys. It's pretty slow going as there're many choke points to clear. For the first time, tanks area available but I could only detail so many engineers to follow to repair. The German tanks are hard hitters and it's difficult too to get at their backsides which is their vulnerable point. The usual trooper squads combine with the tanks usually help since their sticky bombs damage the tiger tanks handily.
The tank with the flail came into play to clear the mines on the road. I used them against enemy troops as I was curious what would happen. Would there be just a blood spot when they took damage? Well, they were dismembered. Not bad.
I moved the camera overhead at one instance as I wanted to see the action top down as a Sherman fired on an enemy squad. I was surprised when an enemy body flew up from the impact and the corpse went straight at the camera before dropping back down. That was interesting.

The last week or so I have been squeezing in Resident Evil 2 remake. I got to the point of the Leon 1st of getting out of the police station, but the game crashed and corrupted my saves so I started over. I am about a hour into going through Leon 1st again, but I am not upset at going through again for I made some different choices on how to approach combat due to pre-existing knowledge of playing through again.
The other less fun "game" I have been playing is going through slightly over 500GB of digital photos and picking a few key ones to keep and weeding out duplicate along with taking in different sets from other family members for shared gatherings. The reason for this is I found a lot of old backups and realized I never sorted them out and picked out the key pictures to keep. So after copying multiple ZIP Disks (thankfully it was an internal and not serial), CD-Rs, DVD-R, USB keys, and two portable HDDs I am to the point of sorting. There are other things mixed in with the photos, but that isn't as important to sort out.

I would just want to add that really a focused stealthy approach in Valhalla doesn't feel as possible as in the prior games. Most of the time with Valhalla if I wanted to take a stealthy approach I just used a bow and arrow and killed enemies from a long distance so I was never in their detection zone.

Ghost Recon BreakpointHere we are again and a very odd turn of events am surprised I am playing this game this soon but wifey wanted to start playing it. And having an interesting blast doing so to. Up first collecting at least some of our starter weapons and their various blue prints. The M1911 for her/ me and the M82 for me. We are getting into a lot of trouble we are able to usually find our way and fight our way through the issues to victory. Though we had a devilish bad luck with a couple of Azrael's to, a lot to get used to now not just worrying about myself but someone tagging along as well. Case in point getting the Barret from Assembly Hall Omega 01, she was going after a target, and it was a heavy...by the time I warned her not to engage she already took the shot which drew the entire camp to us. Still since we were up on a hill top overlooking the place we had excellent sitelines, kind of reminded me of that bit in Seal Team honestly. After wards cleared the base and got the rifle. From there kind of continued onto the story missions and had some trouble getting to the area we needed to go to. First I got off and crashed the helicopter, and then we got into a bit of a friefight with like three patrols including some Wolves because I saw some intel. Involved me running for my life. But it was fine. From there it got a lot smoother as we approached the villa. I must say one part awesome for Ubisoft and one part awesome and like working with wife. Usually the story encourages you to go in through his basement and fight your way up. SHe came up with the idea of approaching by a creek bed and attacking from some cliffs across from them. It wasn't the best strategy since most of the bad guys was internal but we sniped a few people and then almost got into a firefight but had a smooth time with that as we were able to contain the situation. Then cleared the rest of the villa and cleared onto him. From there the training center was a similar seqeunce of events. Traded shots with the drone and like one guy but again a lot of coordinated sniping. With some risk from the armor piercing bullets. Our communication isn't always the best but we are managing. Withcer 3 I am a bit pissed and annoyed. I actually found enhanced Tawny Owl, then died to like a wolf, so it reloaded before I found it...and I couldn't find it again. I am so peeved. On the bright side I did start the end game effectively, well end game part 1. Did the trial of the grasses on Avalach...and it is always the right amount of horror. And Lambert was really against the whole idea. But then it all worked out and Avalach sent us along to the Isle and that the Hunt would not be far behind, ally gathering time! From there decided on the Wolf gear school gear...yeah, so brave. But it really is the best for how I play and a lot of the other gear bonuses, at least from what I can observe of the ones I want, really don't fully mesh.

Now I'm done with Midnight Suns it's back to my sports games for me starting with a bit of PGA tou rand Fifa as I'm in the mood for a bit of golf and football. Afte that it'll be Forza Horizon and following that will be m yfirs tHogwarts and Forspoken playthrough's. I'll probably squeeze in what's left of my ME trilogy run as well at som epoint in there maybe my DAI one as well. I don't know when I'll come back to Midnight Suns right now but that likely depends on what mood I'm in and when the next DLC releases atm. I did like Deadpool's thoug heven i fhe's not m yfavourite Marvel character. Right now as much as I enjoy Midnight Suns I wantt opla ysomething other than that as it's really been the onl ygame I've played s ofar this year I'm ready to play something else ideally something with a bit more action.

Yea h Kassandra's my plan too when I eventually get round to it. Yeah, I think I am getting close to the end of Midnight Suns which I am sad to see end, but I have over 90 hours invested in that game so it's also a bit of relief that it's almost over. I'm thinking about buying Hogwarts Legacy although I never read the books nor know any of the settings history and lore. All I know it's a magic based open world rpg and that's enough for me. Last year I played the Witcher 3 for the first time and that game made many references to the books and I still enjoyed it. But yeah Midnight Suns was great even though most XCom fans complain about it a lot on Steam.

Persona 3 Portable Summoned Satan. \o/ (Don't know how sfw it is. Think broodmother but in good shape and no nipples.) Also got Beelzebub and Lucifer but haven't really used the first and the second (while very handsome) refuses to screenshot properly. Also maid outfit. Am devastated that the protag does not get a fancy red santa dress. Or that the guys don't get festive santa suits. Costumes are the life after all. And now I don't fear the Reaper. Don't really have a Blue Oyster pun. But it was the perfect length to jam to while waiting for the Reaper to appear, so that was nice. Got pretty lucky since he had a vendetta against Mitsuru so while he was wailing on her, Yukari kept her and the others at full health, Akihiko made sure the defense and attacks were down and Protag and Mitsuru chipped the health down slow and steady. He always had a chance to nuke me. He just never took it. Story wise I got the bad ending today. Really liked it actually. Massive spoilers in spoilers. The trigger was a bit disappointing since everyone has resolved to take it to the end, face the apocalypse head on ect. Then you just take the cowards (or sane) way out and nobody knows about it. Like there is no fallout or anything. Boring.
The end itself is nice. Basically you finish school, join your buddies for karaoke and then credits roll with a jaunty tune. End game with Junpei + singing > Aegis melodrama.
And sure the world ends but the game is over anyways so why should I care….
Heck it even makes me more annoyed about the true ending since you hold on for the final meet but kick the bucket right before it begins. Ugh. Enjoy the meet then die would've been way better.
And it has clear data save! I thought the game wouldn't allow it. But no. Cowards can be canon. But well. Can't make it end like this. So reloaded and took the brave/stupid path. Am getting very close to the true finale. Did deal with the reaper after the story section, so I've unlocked an extra high level dungeon so been grinding away in that one. Also tried out the boss and the idea of me winning is pretty darn hilarious atm. Granted could grind to level 99, but while I am close I wont max out all the social links, so the ideal demon is currently out of my reach. Also not feeling confident at all on trying the vision quests either, so figure I'll just leave it for the dream run with full social links and stuff. But had a grand old time all in all.

The Witcher 3
So we reach it at last. Probably the most grindy part of this game...again. Finding all the levels of the Wolven armor to get through. Though on the bright side I think I will only have to do up through part 4 (even though I already got part 5) because I am not yet at the high enough level to accomodate the higher level gear.
On the way to one of them fought a Ice Troll which was a cool fight...no pun intended. But then I descended down into the depths and it was one of those poison things which was annoying, and I died, so had to fight the ice troll again...actually Mfer was just on top of me stairing down on me on the hole. But inspiration struck me so I applied some Golden Oriole to myself and well that fixed me from getting poisoned...three Playthroughs man.
Also on the way to the final one even though I was griinnnnding through the lands when I was on Hjindersfail I noticed an area that looked suspiciously like an abanonded area so went after it, and found another abandoned area on the way. And then I was right so I unlocked and liberated/ cleared out two abandoned areas, helping the people of Skellige.

I didn't end up playing much of anything yesterday, because I decided to learn to use a very specific blender tool so I can move over outfits to this new body I did end up grabbing a few pics in XIV still though.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

But yeah Midnight Suns was great even though most XCom fans complain about it a lot on Steam. Yeah mos tXcom fans I think wanted Xcom 3 tbh not Midnight Suns. But even devs get tired of working on the same thing time and time again so allowin gthem to d osomethimng different like Midnigh tSuns isn't necessarily a bad thing considering how Midnight Suns has turned out I think. I do believe the gam eneeds a couple of patches t ofix 1 or 2 glaring issues and such as have an option to turn subtitles off and such because th esubtitles don't need t obe constantly on. I can live wi ththe tutorials constantly popping up everytime you start a nw emissoin making i tclear what you have to do in that mission. It's mostl ythe fact I need a break right now from Midnight Suns as it's pretty much been th eonl ygame I'v eplayed this yea rs ofar in fact pretty much since i tcame out at the beginning of December really. I d owantt opla yagain as I can see myself doing numerous runs o fth egame because I can se ei tbecomin gon eof m ycomfort games that I play when I just wantto relax a bit much lik eI dowhen playin gMass Effec tand Dragon Age I've no tread any of the Harry Potter books o rseen the films either. I tried watching the firs tfilm but got bored out of my mind trying. Th e Hogwarts game on the other hand gives me strong Dragon Ag evibes as does Forspoken in a way which is wh yI've decided t ogive both a try. Plus the graphics o fbot hlook pretty decent. I'm a little worried about how I'll find them difficult ywise wi thmy disabilit ybut Iknow Hogwarts does have a stor ymod difficult ys oI'm no ts oworried there. I'm more worried about Forspoken because whilst it has plent yo faccessibility options too bu twhether they'er enough to make the game playable for me I'm not sure. Mostlyit's moe rthe whol etying t ocast spells ewhile bein gconstantl yon th emov ebit I'm mos tworried about as trying to shoot and firea tthe sam etime has neve rbeen one of m ystrong suits. Because a tleast in Mas sEffect I can usuall yge tint ogood cover spots befoe rengaging th eenemy or using a power or 2 to destabilize them long enough to get to one a tleast on Casual difficulty. i'm hopinmg I can d oth esam ewith Forspoken in tha tI can throw of a big AOE o rsomething befoe rthe yrealise I' mthere o rsomething and such and use thatto gain an advantage but we'll see. Still I'm stickin gwi hgolf and Fifa for now as I'm in moe rof a spotrs mood atm and I'll download Hogwarts and Forspoken once I'm done with Forza Horizon.
