Far Cry 6
...I guess nothing happens when you are waiting for that something to happen. A watched kettle does not boil and all that.
And this game really does seem to take awhile for its time to move on. Continued to wait for night so I could get into the fort and did various activities to, essentially, kill time and grind for levels.
The highlight of which was clearing out the Ducle sugar factory which was seized by the FND for nefarious reasons. I am really digging some of what I have been doing so far this PT. Not only have I been successful...but its also been how I have been successful. Lots of good sniping from vantage points and some risk of discovery. In this case I got a little cocky at first with just the second target, didn't kill said guard with one bullet so he was just running around warning all his friends. I thought they were going to come out of the base and actually fight me like with wifey the other day but then they all turned around and just continued maintaining their positions and hunting for me within the base. From here I started taking pot shots at them from the tower...then they would look around, sometimes even looking up near me, so I would duck back down, wait, pick a likely target...pot shot. Then I let out a jaguar which started mauling one of them and killed his friend. Last one was hidden so I had to go into the base, sicked Guapo on him but it didn't quite work out but while he was distracted I worked my way up to the top of the tower and hit him with a perfect head shot.
Other highlight was fun with tanks. On the middle of a road after getting a few things killed and destroyed a pair of tanks met in the middle. I basically went up, arrowed its gunner to blind it, then snuck up on it to plant C4...which didn't actually blow the thing up and just made them angry as they drove up and down the road waving their guns around. Eventually though I realized since they seperated it gave me my chance...so I was able to get on the tank and hijack it. Though the other tank had dissapeared. But...at the end...did get to go on a bit of a rampage. Eventually they did get me though, run over.
But when I respawned I landed a helicopter on top of the castle where the final relic was. Which I also ended up in the very final area for solving the relic. I was a bit excited thinking I had cheated the system. But it was still technically outside so after night came...I had to go back to the beginning and still solve everything. Kind of speed ran it though...owing to me using the extra few moments waiting for night to read up on how to solve each of the challenges.

Going t ofocus mainly on loyalt yquests today no wthat the Collecto rship is done as it's mainl yonly loyalty quests left. I'll probably pick Samara up today and look to at leas tstar tShadowbroker. How far I ge tthrouh that o rdo all of i tI don' tknow yet but I do know that Shadowbroker is the only DLC in ME2 I have left to play now in this run. I know I'm gettin gtowards the end of ME2 but I still think I've got at least a couple more days of work to do before I'm ready to start ME3. It largel ydepends on how quick I get through the loyalty stuff though.

Yay, it is that time to square away the place so as to get it ready to go from the proof of concept to the actual park opening. What creative uses will we find with the Decorations and such?

Dragon Age: Inquisition
Didn't get much gaming done last night but I did recruit Blackwall and now I am on my way to speak with the Grand Enchanter Fiona at Redcliffe. Talking about Redcliffe I remember in Dragon Age: Origins where we have to save Arl Eamon's son Connor from being possessed. There was an option to learn blood magic from the demon and it would temporarily leave Connor but return 10 years later to repossess him. If you choose to make a deal with the demon does it return in Inquisition since the game takes place 10 years after DAO?

I have a question. If I speak to Fiona and the mages first does that prevent me from speaking with the Templars and vice versa?

Dragon Age: InquisitionI have a question. If I speak to Fiona and the mages first does that prevent me from speaking with the Templars and vice versa? The locking point between these two is starting the specific mission on the wartable (In Hushed Whisper vs Champion of the Just). So speaking to Fiona in Redcliff doesn't lock you out, but starting the Templar mission will.

Just a reminder to hit that save key often. You never know when you might hit F9 instead of F7! No seriously, I know a guy who did that... lost over an hour of settlement building. I'm still playing Fallout 4. Well perhaps "playing" isn't the right word, I haven't even made it to Diamond City yet. I got Sanctuary looking as good as I could and went to Concord. Helped out some settlers, and right away get sent off to build new settlements. I've more or less finished Tenpines Bluff, but the Starlight Drive-In is nearly as much work as Sanctuary. I finally got the Creation Kit working with the GOG version of the game, but it's been so long since I made mods for Skyrim that I've forgotten how to do it. I wanted to start with a simple texture mod, using only base game textures, but it's not working. I don't know why? You can see the change in the render window of the CK, but after saving and loading the .esp, it doesn't show in the game. i.imgur.com/BWtroOG.pngI just tried to make the Sanctuary End Road have the same Pre-War Textures as the rest.

Dragon Age: InquisitionForgot to mention a week ago I scrapped my Qunari in favor of a human, because I was playing the Qunari as if he were human. So as a human I can fully embrace The Herald of Andraste title. I always liked the idea of holy warriors. So tonight I spoke to Fiona and met Dorian. Then went to speak to the Templars and purged the red templars along the way I met Cole. I misunderstood azarhal when she said I will choose the Templars when I do their quest. I thought she meant I had to go back to the War Table in Haven. Anyway it worked out for me since I am roleplaying an Andrastian the Templars fit perfectly.

While it would be difficult to pull off for a few different reasons, as you mentioned, trying to make the RP work as a Qunari who does embrace the Herald of Andraste title might make for a really fascinating story arc. Kind of a shame really don't even remember where I was going to go with my two other characters but I've just kept to my first two characters and replayed them over and over again. *** Far cry 6Couple of quick notes here riding around in my ride to get to where I needed to get going and had it on auto pilot. Well when I do this I usually go scroll through my phone and catch up on things. Not this time though as I glanced up and realized I was moving pretty slow. So I dusted off the old cobwebs and remembered and then quickly confirmed that the auto pilot can work with you flooring it. You control the speed and it actually does control the direction. At least more or less. Also the spike traps in each zone do actually work as I got stopped by one. Then the guards called in reinforcements...and then I was able to get to the high ground to blow things up with my bow like the sign. Also this game does continuing the FC formula of really bogging you down if you get out and start trying to pick things off as more and more vehicles just spawn out of nowhere till you die. And finally got the last of the relics. Forgot you actually had to beat Oluso into submission. And Oluso is actually a he. Oops. But it was a bit of a tense battle at times. I do like Dani's voice actress. She does a pretty good job.

Kind of a shame really don't even remember where I was going to go with my two other characters but I've just kept to my first two characters and replayed them over and over again. Oh I did not delete my Qunari. I downloaded a file from nexus called DAI Save Sorter it moves the save files to folders named after the characters. So if I decide to replay the game again (which I'll most likely will), I just put back the Qunari saves. But I was roleplaying a Qunari who acknowledges the existence of the Maker. Since he was raised Tal Vashoth and is a mercenary he's been around different cultures and their faiths.

The race options are different skins to play and walk around in. Oh there'll be slight difference in responses when it comes to companions, except for Solas, and some NPCs but there's no differing distinction in how Thedas regarded the Inquisitor (of each race option) overall.

That's what I like about Baldur's Gate 3 if you select a Drow as your race most npc's will be distrustful of you and even fear you. I was hoping when playing as a Qunari to bond with The Iron Bull. Does he have unique dialogue or does he say the same thing he says to humans to a Qunari?

I know what you mean and hope for (I had such hopes before) but unfortunately, the devs could only implement one fabric for the Inquisitor. If it's a Qunari, the responses from Thedas should be stronger (suspicion, fear, rejection, hatred etc). There should be a more critical crisis of faith and chaos than what's in the game. Larian Studios have certainly outdone other devs, showing how CRPGs should be made. Owlcat is the only other dev company, I know of, at present that's making solid CRPGs too. Other forum members should be able to help with the Qunari romancing IB. I never played a Qunari after I found it's pointless trying other races. I've only played humans and elves.

Yeah Inquisition is not the only game guilty of that. Most of the games up until Pathfinder Kingmaker had many races but provided the same experience as just playing the basic one. The Elder Scrolls games are guilty of this Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim have 10 races and none of them provide unique experiences. In Skyrim if the Khajiit are not allowed into cities than a player who plays as one should not be allowed also. Pathfinder Kingmaker and Baldur's Gate 3 are the only games that make it playing as a different species interesting. But still inn saying all that I am enjoying the game I think aside from Dorian I have recruited all of the companions in the game.

What they pulled off is insane. I liked DAI a lot at the time but the race selection is barely more than a different paint job. That's true for most games sadly.

I was hoping when playing as a Qunari to bond with The Iron Bull. Does he have unique dialogue or does he say the same thing he says to humans to a Qunari? You get an extra dialogue option here or there (usually about how a Tal Vashoth will be treated under the Qun) or a specific remark about a picked dialogue (like Bull saying "You sound like a Qunari now..., Tal-Vashoth."). Rest of the dialogues are the same as for any other race.
Frankly, I find Sera's reaction to a Qunari (a female one especially) to be more entertaining.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
Haven was under attack this siege was tough. My whole party which consisted of Cassandra, Vivienne, and Sera got knocked out and it was just me with two health potions left. I was able to stand my ground. The mysterious Elder One was revealed. He was none other than Corypheus from the Legacy dlc of Dragon Age 2. Corypheus was huge he picked up my character as if he were a toy. I knew he'd be a major baddie in a future game. Got my very own stronghold called Skyhold. Dorian is officially part of my party. Spent the rest of the night exploring my new stronghold.

Yeah rule of thumb is: no other game has BG3's reactivity. What they pulled off is insane. I liked DAI a lot at the time but the race selection is barely more than a different paint job. That's true for most games sadly. Which is why BG3 knocked down Dragon Age: Origins for my best rpg of all time. The reactivity like you said is insane. Love playing as a Drow.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

Yea hI cretainl yplan on going back to BG3 a tsome point. As I definitel ywantt osee more of the game. My plan for today though is t ohopefully finish ME2. I say hopefully because I've still got abou t5 missions left3 o fthem loyalty missions as I have Grunt's and Mordin's t odo on Tuchanka along with Legion's when I pick him up. But I still also have the IFF an d th esuicide missoin as well. I think I ca ndo them all but I know i twon' tb eeasy t oge tthem all done today. After that of course it's onto ME3

Ballads at Midnight A relatively short visual novel, but I still enjoyed it (also it's free, so yay for saving money!)
You play the role of a young woman who's basically thrown to the wolves after she...spoke her mind. The "wolves" in question is actually a vampire, apparently where the woman comes from, if you displease their Queen you get sacrificed to the local vampire. Turns out said vampire is actually a quite reasonable bloke, who offers to let you go after bartering with him. He first offers to buy your lute (the woman you play is a bard), but she refuses...so instead he asks how much she'd need to work to buy a lute. She says about a 100 gold coins, so he states...a 100 songs for your freedom then.
Of course because it's a visual novel/dating sim, you eventually have the option to open up to him, tell him some of your secrets, he tells you some of his, and all that mushy stuff.
And in true visual novel fashion you eventually fall in love with him
I picked the ending where I freed him from his curse (not his vampirism, he can't be cured from that), and allowed him to turn me into a vampire so he wouldn't be lonely anymore. Then he and I decided to travel the world, which was apparently one of the good endings.
-- I joked with someone the other day that in all the visual novels I've played so far I've only managed to get the "good endings" thus far...I've no idea how I do that though, usually I'm not that lucky in games on my first try Not that I'm complaining, it just stood out to me

After that of course it's onto ME3Before I started playing Inquisition I was continuing my playthrough the Trilogy from 9 months ago. It's likely going to be tomorrow before I finish ME2 now as up until now I've somehow managed to avoid finding the side quests and now I'm unlocking them all. Typica lreall ybut I' mstill hpoing I'll get the loyalty missions on Tuchanka done a tleast. But either wa yI don't mind it's been such a while since I played the games I' d almost forgo twhere a lot of the side content was. I d oremembe rthe quests jus tno texactl ywher ethe ytook place. I knew it was there jus thadn' t ran into it until now and now it's unlocking itself all at once. I am looking forward to moving onto ME3 though and putting an end to this Reaper nightmare once again. It's jus tno wgoin gt otake a bit longe rthan I though tt oget there
