Well, I finished Venezia, and Ezio got warmly welcomed into the Creed. But instead of the end credits, I got to go back to Forlì. It’s like War and Peace, I swear....
Anyway, I wish when Katerina Sforza provided the guards with the view of her baby making gear, Ezio had a chance to pitch in erm... the other way. But, oh, well, Don Ezio, life’s like that, next time it’s the baby-recovery spree.

Has anyone noticed some of the side quests seem to end right after you finish your task? The game doesn't tell me to go back to the quest giver, but I'm wondering if I'm missing some extra dialog or closure for the quest by not doing so. 90% of the time the quest giver does have bonus dialogue after their quest is done, and it's often great dialogue too, so I definitely recommend seeking them out. I find I bump into old quest characters quite a bit while wandering the world.

While not all, I'd suggest @carefull, to do Brotherhood and Revelations if you want to continue Desmond's story and of course, Ezio. P.S. and no matter what I do, the forum persists in changing the name I typed in (Jade Dreamer) to lower case.

the complaints I saw on the net came from the platform/controller users Absolutely I might also suggest to @carefull that there's no ticking clock on how long this should take. Fascinating as it is to watch your journey, skipping installments (which you may already have) doesn't make much sense to me. Entirely your choice of course. Patience people.

Yup, I want to play if not all, then most of the titles. I think that 2018 will be very much an Assassin Creed year for me overall.
So far I own Brotherhood, Revelation, Unity & the Chinese Chronicles, and plan to pick AC3, BF and Rogue on the next round of sales. It’s a big franchise. Actually, the fact that Ezio has three games in a row is a bit off putting, because I am not a big fan of his, and would like to see how Connor and Arno are. But the Renaissance Italy background is great.
Like in every game, there are sequences where I can’t tear myself away from the narrative, and there are times the story doesn’t really hold my attention. There are very few games that i’ve gone through in one breath. So, yeah, going back to Forlì was a bit of a let down. Because of the game’s trailer I thought the game ends in Venezia during the carnival.

I thought it was the inherent awkwardness of the whole W-D-space bar combo, but the complaints I saw on the net came from the platform/controller users, so I think it is supposed to be hard on the player & require the rhythm to execute correctly. The one in Venice took me a while, like maybe 20 attempts simply because I couldn't get the timing right but I always felt I was close to getting it. If I remember it was the timing of the direction and spacebar tap as I was doing it too fast and it sometimes wouldn't execute. Once I did it though I had no problems with it later but its probably different with different keyboards as well. I have always thought it was easier with the controller as you can jump any direction in a full 360 radius (I don't use a controller). My Brother in-law was playing on console with a controller and the jump I said I couldn't ever complete in the mine he did it first time and then jumped back and showed me again and yeah the direction stick was like at 10 o'clock so just off the right angle that you'd get using A to jump left. There are a few back jumps as well, one in particular in AC 3 in the underground tunnels and one in AC4 on to a tree branch that used to test me I think, I remember this tomb (an underground lake with 3-4 switches?). I had to move camera, while wall-running, in order to get the direction of the jump correctly. About Forli chapters. They were added after the initial release, for the PC version (and as DLC for consoles).

Well, the Master Assassin Ezio in Brotherhood and Revelations is a very different character than early-mid AC2 Ezio. I'm particularly fond of the cranky old man Ezio we have in Revelations. :S

Hawke I can make the jumps, but not beat the timer. I managed three of the levers maybe three times, but I cannot really trust myself to do both the first and the second jump on the first try both times. The third one mostly works all right. But on the first one Ezio is prone to vaulting backwards (as noted by many a person) or, on a few maddening occasions he actually leapt sideways but did not grab the bar (I did not think he actually can miss until then) and the second one is just seemingly random. I read that he needs to face a certain part of the statue, but he slips around a lot, so, yeah. snook Is not Ezio basically at the Renaissance man's life expectancy by the end of the first game? Even discounting his hazardous lifestyle? He's now around thirty in my game, I think. I am hazy on Renaissance, but I thought it was late thirties-early forties? How long does he live in the series?

Of a heart attack, a suitably boring death for an interesting man. Altair, meanwhile, lives an unbelievably long time, to the ripe old age of like 102.

I think Ezio was like 65 when he died, and Altair was 90 ....something? 2? Anyways, I hope you stick with the Ezio games, I think you will find he grows over time. I really liked Ezio in all 3 games, but Revelations Ezio is . This is the movie they made for Ezios ending. Save the link and watch at your leisure after you're done with his games (or before if you prefer, but it will spoil stuffs). I had to take a couple days break from ACO because hand pain, but they seem to be on the mend for now so maybe I can get a little more done tonight.

Saved the children... the way the game went, I half expected Sforza younger to go shy on Ezio in an adorable girly way or some such, but thankfully the Noble Assassin just got seriously wounded to death... not quite... to wake up:
-in full armor -but no sign of the wound -with a lot of manly stubble, and -missing his winning Mediterranean complexion
I went through Savanarola introduction but when the game told me that now we get to kill nine more b-list victims, I got it that I am not finishing the game tonight. Seriously hard battle for the first one. Ezio sword is not cutting anything, hidden blades are not working and they toss rocks and arrows at the old boy.
So, yeah, starting Andromeda tomorrow, 'cause N7 Anniversary, will be back to Don Ezio & eight more lieutenants as well as the ending maybe after that.... T least they do not move the goal posts in Andromeda....

Haven't had this much fun hunting since Red Dead, although I just about pissed my knickers when I stumbled onto my first cobra nest. Even in a game that noise triggers the primordial fear part of my brain.

Well, finished the main quest. Bit torn about the main story - felt a bit rushed and weirdly paced at times, but when it picked up I really enjoyed it, and there were plenty of great sidequests between to pad it out. Still not done all those either.
Ending was a feel trip, though.
All in all, best AC in a long while without a doubt, and for the first time in ages I'm actually excited to see what's next. Hopefully they keep the momentum going and don't start rushing again.
As for where it ranks in the series though...it's still beaten out by Black Flag for me. I will always have a soft spot for that game.

This game uses microtransactions and is holding me from buying for that reason. Does the use of microtransactions ever end over time or is it everlasting feature? Sounds to be an enjoyable game otherwise.

I have no problem that people buy games with microtransactions. I however rather not and the question is a simple one. Do transactions stop over time or not?
