I successfully extracted on gold last night using a level 10 Asari adept. We had a good team so scores were within a narrow 15-17K band top-to-bottom. After the match, I didn't level up at all. So far, it has at least felt like characters gain at least 1, maybe 2 levels from a gold match all the way up to level 15. But I may be wrong. Anyone else experience this or have relevant info? It seems like I should have hit level 11 or even level 12.

Just got unlucky I'm afraid, I've had UI bugs were the credits after a match don't register right away, however I've also had instances were after a Gold match I don't receive any credits at all but still get the experience for some reason.
The matches were I don't get credits usually occur in the same matches a friend will crash out of and rejoin, I don't know what causes it exactly though.
First time I've heard of not getting experience after a match that didn't also involve a hard crash.

Leveling is painfully slow and prevents players from experiencing the different kits in a reasonable amount of time. They basically copied the free-to-play model.

Without a way to fast track progression that isn't also based on RNG. (Duplicate Cards doing something other than unlocking cosmetic options) Once you hit level 10 or so leveling takes hell of a lot longer than it did in Mass Effect 3, could have sworn in ME3MP you could go from 1 to 20 in like 3 or 4 Gold matches. |

Once you hit level 10 or so leveling takes hell of a lot longer than it did in Mass Effect 3, could have sworn in ME3MP you could go from 1 to 20 in like 3 or 4 Gold matches. Not quite that quickly, but you did get on average 3.5-4x the amount of XP you get for a successful Gold game in Andromeda. Between XP gains and the amount of points earned (for the challenge), it sure looks like they kneecapped progression in every aspect without adjusting anything to compensate for it. |
