First of all, I don't know why so many people play this class. It's probably the most common one I see. But why... It has an extremely bad kit. Lance and throw are absolutely useless without a primer and shield regen abilit (read: Adept). Team cloak is completely out of place and useless on this character and buggy as is.
This character needs a total rework. Idea; How about a melee or biotic based character with a tac cloak to get behind enemies and burst them down or give her a trip mine ability. After all, she's a huntress.
Or just anything besides her current useless kit

Don't see why so many people use this class...
1.No CD team stealth for free objectives and escapes.
2.Ridiculously tanky with shield regen from melee and a free shield max when you hit low health.
3.Throw just to knock people off balance so you can melee the shit out of them
Lance is honestly the only thing in the kit that really doesn't belong

Throw is a primer? Just has a very short window that can be extended by 5A by 400%.

That's not an Asari Huntress. That is an Asari Huntress impersonator.

After all, she's a huntress. Or just anything besides her current useless kit Dunno bro, stealth grid is one of the best abilities in the game. How is it useless? Team members getting roflstomped? Stealth Grid Team members need a revive? Stealth Grid Team member snipers focusing down bullet sponge/boss? Couple of stealth grids Extraction? Stealth Grid Devices? Stealth Grid Get tele-sync grabbed by fiend? Well, I guess you can't stealth grid there, but that brings us to: ...which will pop and save you from the aforementioned and much much more, allowing you to follow up with a stealth grid and nope the f**k out. As for the rest of her kit, lance and throw are definitely not useless and support a variety of effective play styles coupled with her previously mentioned powerhouse attributes. Throw is a very versatile skill, and pretty much tells mooks to sit the f**k down/gtfoff her. You can also use it as a low cd detonator or even primer for an immediate lance follow up (yes, it primes for a very brief moment). It also staggers armored enemies like zerkers (when they arn't in "give zero f**ks mode"). If you roll with an asari adept or k-gladiator, shield powered lances are nuts. If not, it's still an excellent detonator and enabler of biotic warrior. Not to mention a pair of lances is pretty much a vanquisher shot's worth of damage. Oh, and it also has stagger properties, though weaker than throw. In terms of play style, she can be built to fill almost any of them effectively...sniping, melee, SMG/Shotgun play, team support, etc. Top this off with the huge safety net and carry potential stealth grid provides, and it's no wonder why so many players choose her. Plus, she says "Good game" every other round, even when you suck.

Completely incorrect and l2p. The kit has massive synergy with a melee build. What it loses in the debuff department from its Asari Adept counterpart it makes up for in just straight up additional melee damage, both from rank 5 of its passive (AA gets 20% debuff there and AH gets 30% melee damage bonus) plus Stealth Grid buffs when needed (Stealth Grid providing a much higher burst damage boost than Annihilation's additional debuff, at the trade-off of the latter being constant/braindead and the former requiring proper resource management).
On top of that, Throw (and Lance to a lesser degree as a 1pt backup) is immeasurably useful for both keeping the Biotic Warrior (passive 6b) buff up at almost all times and closing the gap unharmed since it stuns on hit and has hardly any cooldown. And Stealth Grid is the perfect gtfo ability for if shit ever hits the fan too.
I'm not suggesting the AH is necessarily better than the AA, since she has better synergy with the whole team providing all those debuffs and priming everything, but she's still also one of the most viable melee builds in the game too with her own unique benefits and easily among the most fun of all the melee builds out there.

Neato. I've gotten several Huntress cards but I just haven't gotten around to her yet (with the upgrade grind taking so long from lvl10->lvl20, I have more than a few kits that are waiting their turn).
So, neo-Huntress fans, do you mind just quickly listing your build specs for those of us who are just now getting 'round to her? For instance, even after 50hrs and nearly 6000 apex pts, I have yet to spec out a "stealth grid" kit and haven't even looked at the the choices I might face...

Stealth grid is actually pretty easy: 4a, 5b, 6b. Evo 4 you can actually go with either, but if you want to be safe, just stick with the extra power cell. Evo 5, you will get more value out of shield grid than sitting in stealth for an extra 2.4 seconds (most of the time). If you need more stealth, you can just pop another power cell. Evo 6, evasive grid is nice on paper, but pretty low value in comparison to ambush grid in practice.
Barrier, if you're going melee, 5b is mandatory (in which case you would want to go 4a for more value). You should go 6b unless you plan to be doing most of your runs with an AA or K-Gladiator partner - then 6a will provide value w/shield powered lances.
For offensive passive, you want to go 4b/5a/6b as that setup synergizes the best with one another and the kit as a whole.
From there, you can either spec throw or lance - and it's up to you and what type of play style you're going to go. Most go with lance, and some forgo the final evolution of it to spend the 6spoints on throw. Again, if you're rolling with an annihilation field party, get 6b of lance.

Not sure if you're just stubborn, or just fail to make that distinction every time. Can you give it a rest? Also, a grand total of 2 kits currently have stealth grid.

I'll give it a rest when Bioware actually fixes things on this problem ridden, unfinished product that I purchased. All you people keep saying, "oh well it's just a visual bug". Yeah a visual bug for a gawd damn stealth ability. An ability that was supposedly fixed in the latest patch, yet we have this bullshit. I can barely tell when the ability ends because of this same visual bug. Also, "a grand total of 2 kits have stealth grid" I'm sorry but I don't remember stating any specific abilities, I said "most kits in this game consist of the same abilities". Keyword: Kits.

And, since combo's are bugged anyway and deal the same damage regardless of what rank the used primer and detonator are, slap some Disruptor Ammo on your weapon and use your two detonators whenever they're off cooldown.

6/6/1/6/6. Screw leveling lance. It's good enough as a finisher to save a bullet, or a stagger on unprotected enemies to line up a headshot.

Hi Turrian Havoc Hi Sexbot 2.0 (Alliance Infiltration Unit)
Heard you like cloaks... shield restores, and damage.
Crutch Pack 2.0 is born. ....bigger badder superior...
Get ready to get "REKT"
Oh but my kit comes with REVIVE MECHANIC SUCKER! (though honestly) that isn't so bad. I like those not in a power.

Anyone who's played the other Asari or regularly plays non outlaw gold, knows the huntress is the cheap Asari. Stealth grid is a niche skill. If you play the objective smart or rarely die. You'll almost never use it other than randomly for fun.

It's an infiltrator, if you're taking enough damage to need saving barrier you're doing it wrong.
