This law states that all merchants within the game will have a near-infinite supply of basic, commonly-needed items such as Omnigel canisters and copper... UNLESS a specific situation arises in which you need any of the above.
Example: If you are six Omnigel canisters short when attempting to craft an armor or weapon upgrade, every single merchant in the game will inexplicably sell out of Omnigel canisters for the exact duration of the time it takes you to lose your patience and craft an alien item instead, after which all original stock will mysteriously reappear.

They learned well from DAI merchants, who always lacked what you needed (especially merchants that could occasionally sell specialization items).

You needed a specific perk for specific merchants to sell those items. I know that. Doesn't change the fact that sometimes they were unavailable for me even after getting that perk.

The mostest stupidest thing I find is that the augment seller on the nexus sells 1 of every type of common augment. However, if you leave and come back, his stock replenished... So instead of just buying 10 reaction displacers, you have to keep going back and forth and baaaack and foooorth. Why though?
