They really dropped the ball with squadmates. In any individual game of the trilogy (ME3 just a bit less), you wanted to be friends with some characters because they were cool. In Andromeda they force you to be friends and want you to think those characters are cool. Obviously it doesn't work. In other words. You want a movie night if you like the characters, you don't like the character if there is a movie night. Ehh I really like the squadmates in this game

The squad mates were pretty decent to me. Look, when we were first introduced to the comrades in ME1, they were not that memorable. They only became memorable in ME2 and ME3. When first introduced though, they were forgettable.

Honestly i would have been happy if they cut the majority of the large scale content and made it a sleeker, more focused story, i've said this a few times in different threads. This is a decent game, but it isn't the Mass Effect I remember. I never wanted an open world(ish) game in this series, the reason i love it is the characters and story, unfortunately the main story is hampered too much by the sheer size and amount of other content in there... who would have thought people would complain about there being too much content ay? The open world aspect and exploration is all people have wanted since Mass Effect 1. Then EA took over and we got the linear bs if ME2 and ME3. Which has been strange bc there seems to be a very vocal minority who for some reason loves linear streamlined games. So no thanks. Please just make the open worlds more elaborate and filled with good side content. The linear sections of the game were meh anyways. And what's the point of leveling up your character so much if your just stuck doing linear levels with nothing to do after the story ends?

The squadmembers and exploration in the game are great.
The casual sexism in OP's post is less great.
More awesome squadmembers and exploration, less sexist bullshit posts.

Dudes obviously trolling and failing at it. Why is it so hard to believe that a Salerian and two Humans can fly a ship OP? At least these guys don't rely on an AI, like Joker does in ME:2 and three. But hey, don't let that little fact get in the way of your trolling!

You have something against Salarians and Women? Even Ashley and TIM would only have problem with Salarians. Duh... That is exactly why Andromeda 600+ years later.

I'd focus more on the fact that we're all supposed to believe that Jeff "Crippled Ass" Moreau is qualified to fly a ship when the risk of grievous injury to his glass shins is particularly high.

True.....but he still has her help if he needs it. Lol....and yeah, it is a little strange that he's so over qualified. Dude could break a finger just lifting a glass of water, never mind flying a ship.

And then adds robosexuality to his repertoire, where over-the-clothes action could have a rib jab him in the lung.

I start to feel that the two kinds of ME fans, the ones like open world and exploration and those who don't, will never get along because no matter how many stories and cut scenes they put into these side quests, they will always be "boring fetch quest".
Witcher 3 was praised for its side quest, and people always forget how many quests in Witcher 3 are just "go there, witcher sense this, follow the trail and kill the monster".
