So, twice this weekend I had to clutch a late Silver round while the rest of my squad were lying all over the map. Anyone who has played with me knows that I can carry my own weight on a squad but I am no solo artist. I was playing Angaran Avenger, though, and managed to do it both times by staying alive, moving actively around the map to pick off stragglers and then facing the boss when nothing else was left. But, here's the thing, it takes time. Would you rather someone just die and bleed out? Or finish the wave?

I am in the same book as you I do not like soloing because I feel time pressure. It depends on how far along the wave is for me. If I am getting swarmed I might take a dive.

No way I want you to quit. I figure it's my punishment to sit in time out while you solo the wave. Doesn't bother me at all and I appreciate it when a squaddie can hold his own and clear the wave. This is also a good opportunity for me to pick up new tricks and tactics by simply observing.

I remember my whole team went down on silver remnant, and I was the only one left, I had 4 or 5 observers, 2 nullifiers, and a handful of assemblers, all with full health. I dodged, dipped, ducked, dived, and dodged my way to finishing the round. Even if it adds time to the total, I think it is always better try and finish.
Extracting with more time on the clock is still better than not extracting at all.

It really depends.
...but I don`t get highly motivated to use my medi-gel and other items when 3 others refuse to use theirs.
(which I most likely will need to solo a wave or two)

With that being said, I appreciate if someone tries to clutch a wave, even if it takes very long. If I fucked up so badly that I bled out, then I have a high opinion of people who can solo the rest of the wave. |
