Stop the ME3MP nostalgia and let's be honest. This "multiplayer" is not only a trainwreck of massive proportions; the efforts put forward by its talented dev team in attempts to salvage it have been so far laughable. While you're probably in denial right now, investing time and effort grinding this utter mess of a game hoping that things will get better in a year or two, just take a look back at DAI:MP. Same team lead who loves to keep things "corporate", keep the creative talent under a leash/budget, be extremely passive towards any sort of criticism and towards actually fixing the game, and have zero standards when it comes to quality content and control; the only reason it got any better was due to Luke B. pouring his heart into the game trying to salvage it out of love. (the man created half of the Dragonslayer DLC content then 5 months worth of content including 2 new difficulties, weekly balance, etc). And yet he only could achieve so much as he was kept under a leash.
"But the game has only been out for 3 weeks", yeah what a bunch of bs. If the devs themselves had any sort of emotional investment in their own game (i.e actually play it instead of streaming Destiny every day instead), maybe they'd put out weekly balance patches and, maybe if they were to release weekly events (such as the boss event last week), actually do some TESTING beforehand to make sure the stuff works instead of looking like absolute idiots on stream. Yeah, you know why none of that is happening? Because they, themselves, don't give a fuck.
I could rant on for much longer but here's the point: if you're not enjoying what you're playing right now, I'd suggest you to stop, and maybe come back in ... never, because it won't get better.

Harsh but prophetic. (Maybe.)
I'm still having fun so I'll keep playing but I'm under no illusion that anything will change for the better.

Meh. I'm not emotionally involved with the MP. I have fun playing it, though.
I like to think that certain aspects of it will, eventually, get better. If not, I'll find something else to play when I get tired of it.

"We're still gathering data on weapon usage so we can work on weapon balancing later on" - Billy Buskell How about actually sitting down, grabbing a drink, playing the game and see for yourself how disgusting the weapon balancing is. Muh "metrics" aren't needed for that stuff. Case in point: If you don't give a fuck about your own game, I certainly won't.

I am not being nostalgic with MEAMP, and I simply don`t care enough to feel anything about both its current state and future.
However, I do get super emotional up to hulk level rage... when the game itself crash on PS4Pro and kicks me out of 3 games in a row for absolutely no raisin. (last night lost 3 silver xp booster for nothing. fxxx)
Personally, I can understand why younger people get upset with the games for many different reasons. They tend to be more passionate about video game. Let them be emotional. It`s not gonna do MEA any harm.

It could be saved. They only need to take feedback more serious, right now it seems they're thinking something on the lines of "they are probably exaggerating, balance is not that bad". That's one of the main issues, if not the main issue. Pretty much everyone agrees that most guns need at least a 50% buff, they provided a 5-ish% buff for some weapons so far with the 1.05 patch. That is pathetic.
I think the next patch will tell how good are they at listening to us. Remember that the incoming patch is supposed to be about weapon and power balance mainly. We'll see if they address the game balance properly, or they still have the "everything is fine" mentality. Future could be promising for the game, but right now definitely is not bright.

I completely agree with you. That's perfectly put. The people who think the game is going to improve make me laugh, they're so far in denial that they don't even know it. Not only is it not going to get better, but I'm confident it's going to get a lot worse in fact. It's perfectly clear that the people who made it don't care and are completely incompetent, and that's fine really. But it's hard to give up on something, even when it's a trainwreck abortion of biblical proportions like this multiplayer is, when you've been anticipating it for so long and continue to reminisce fondly of its predecessor. I think that's why a lot of people including me are stuck in a situation where they refuse to abandon it completely. I'm not in denial, I know it's terrible and I'm not enjoying it at all. Having put in thousands of hours into the previous multiplayer shouldn't mean that the new game automatically deserves the same level of dedication. It should be judged on its quality, and in that regard it sucks completely. It sucks harder than the single player and that is something I never imagined I'd be saying. I had such high hopes and its truly sad to see how this turned out.

We'll see if they address the game balance properly, or they still have the "everything is fine" mentality. Future could be promising for the game, but right now definitely is not bright. There is no way they'll give us what we want. The weapons need a 200% buff, not 50. And they'd never be willing to go above 20%. The powers need a 1000% buff, which sounds absolutely insane but that's how it is. And that's why we'll never get what we want. We're looking at some insane buffs, and that's what's needed to get the weapons and powers to a point where they're usable and viable.

I enjoy the game, and I'll be playing as long as I do. I don't take advice from silly pessimists who hate everything and keep telling others that they should do the same.

Having started this MP. Never played the MA3 Multiplayer either, since I was still in school and did not have a legit copy of the game. However I did enjoy (and still do to a lesser degree) DAI:MP it was fun and challenging. Hopefully I enjoy this one too.

Honestly still having fun with the MP. Of course, Fiends are worse than Banshees ever were, and alot of guns need reworked, such as the Valiant and Black Widow need to be better or at least have something special up on the Vanquisher. But I don't know how I feel about buffing all weapons a stupid amount since there is actually a handful of weapons that make golds piss easy and faster than they ever were in ME3.
Honestly maybe they would have saved some time using ME3 as a base rather than DAIMP.

I've already gotten bored of the game. The grind is too big to play on anything but gold and only 5 weapons are good enough to kill anything at a reasonable rate to the point where I can actually enjoy using them.
It's not only that weapons suck, all the powers and gear that increase their damage pretty much suck as well and grinding to the point where I have maxed rares, so that these weapons might do slightly less crap isn't worth the effort.

Meh. I've no illusions about this stuff, having seen what happened with Inquisition first-hand. But then, I didn't really play ME3MP enough to have an emotional investment to begin with.
I'm already to the point where I'll usually only play if invited. There's the occasional exception, taking a level 1 into silver pugs just to try something new, but there really isn't enough to keep me going for long on my own steam. And if the last patch is anything to go by, that won't change for a while.
