I just started a Gold Quick Match with my Human Female Infiltrator. Except when I got into the game I was my Level 1 Human Male Soldier with an Avenger. Well, I wasn't dealing with that shit so I quit. I didn't want that Sniper Rifle Rail Amp III anyway. Get back to the menu and I'm back on my Human Female Infiltrator. WTF BioWare?!!

Had this happen once as well, was playing infiltrator. Got a CTD, restarted and quick joined. Ended up as male hsol with no powers, only default weapons. Restarted the client again and it was back to normal. So yeah, there's more than a few bugs with this game  |

its a host loading issue, if the host cant load your character pack it defaults to the hsol with lvl 1 weapon, no powers and such a crappy bug to be sure and it happens plenty with laggy hosts running crappy pc's sometimes its even fun to play through the game especially when you realise that every few seconds your damage ramps up to that of the weapon you had equipped in the first place, nothing quite like taking out a destroyer with a lvl 1 avenger in 2 clips  |

The one time it happened to me was because of terrible lag with the host - it seems it defaults to that if it doesn't receive all the data by the time you join the game, or something like that. Edit: ninja'd  |

This seems to happen if you click the ready button before you are totally loaded into the lobby or at least that is what it seems like to me. It wouldn't be so bad if you actually had access to your consumables and some kind of ability.

When you get back to the lobby though after the game the class you chose is the one that gets the exp, you are back as the class you chose not a soldier. even better you get the passives from the character you were playing and the dps from the gun it had equipped so for instance I had the ishray in slot one and the lanat in slot two every time I used the avenger it did the damage from that gun every couple of shots (which to be fair was how often I pulled the trigger on the avenger because its only the first 2 shots that actually fly towards your target, this also works two fold as it pretty effectively melts barriers and armour) but its not always consistent in terms of the damage output, the times I've hung around to play the game the lag hasn't been too bad although people do seem to think you've found some kind of damage hack when your avenger is killing everything in what seems like 2 hits to everyone (of course i'm a pretty crap shot and move the mouse around as I pull the trigger so my aim is jumping around everywhere) only downside is the reload takes slightly longer than the normal ishray reload time other games you literally have uber lag and you get the default character and its default level damage i'll be totally honest if it wasn't for that bug I would never have bothered completing the avenger weapon points thing |

You always come in as a level 1 human soldier with no powers (not even the rank 1 powers you should get by default) and an avenger 1. I am guessing this is leftover code from a tutorial or test mode. |
