So, I got bored with the vanquisher after 80 hours with it. I decided to try different weapons. The raptor is good but the low mag count is annoying. So, I starting using the Indra since it does the same dmg and has more ammo. The gun is a beast on gold, especially turbocharged. The one problem is the 1st shot vertical recoil. It's probably what turns people off the gun. But, you can easily learn to compensate it after a few rounds. It also staggers enemies since it shoots balls of energy. Has anyone tried this gun?

Well it was buffed in last weeks patch. My first impression of the gun was the same as yours, the damage seemed ok but it had terrible recoil, and being a sniper rifle, it has the damage penalty when hip firing.

It's like a raptor with double the clip size but with crazy recoil. Maybe I just suck with controlling guns with recoil but even when I played a mission with 50% sniper damage I could barely kill anything.

I was waiting for mine to hit X to give it a better shake. Definitely seems decent. So is the Incisor tbh.

I can deal with recoil.. what I can't deal with is my sniper rifle having spread like the Revenant. The rounds should go in the center of the crosshairs.. not all around them.

I do like it, but the recoil takes awhile to adjust too. Shoot in bursts.

The recoil is easy to manage. You either compensate before you shoot(easy on the controller for me) or you start shooting from the hip (no scope) and then scope in. For me, all bullets hit the enemy with mostly headshots, even with the asari huntress (no munition training). With the turian soldier, this gun is amazing.

On a related note, the sniper rifle scope mod does what exactly? What does 'accuracy' mean in this case? At least for fully automatic sniper rifles.

It's a better Turbocharge weapon than the Raptor due to the extra 10 shots in the thermal clip, with the same damage per shot at level X. My T-Sol's M-90 Indra gets 56 shots Turbocharged.

The recoil kick is easy to compensate for. It's the accuracy bloom that's absurd for a Sniper Rifle.

Honestly, the recoil you have to compensate for combined with the fact the crosshairs go to full bloom in like 5-7 shots just doesn't appeal to me. By the time you're on target, you're spraying as much as ME3 revenant.

I've used and like it. But having too much fun sucking-ass with the N7 Crusader. Its light weight is also overlooked.

I do like it, but the recoil takes awhile to adjust too. Shoot in bursts. This makes me sad. The charm of the Indra in 3 was the massive mag size. Amp the gun up for double penetration :rage: and slap some Incendiary Ammo on it, and hold the trigger. Burst firing would have been a waste of that gun. And I dislike burst fire guns, never liked the Valkyrie or Argus, or Hornet for that matter. :rage: :rage: :rage:

Compared with the Raptor, it's not overly decent. The initial kick the first shot gives is waaaay out of proportion, and it doesn't do AOE damage even though the animation would suggest that it did.
