Hello
I have been watching quite a few vids regarding multiplayer lately, and I see a lot of people use Hurricane, why is that? Based on stats alone, that gun doesn't look that impressive. It seems that the equalizer performs better overall.

Hurricane has ~200 more dps than equalizer Oh, I see, didn't realized that. But currently I'm pretty happy with my equalizer. it will be a while before I get into buying the premium pack which gives ultra rare weapons. |

Because ROF is a multiplicative DPS bonus where simply doing more damage is additive. ROF is HUGE when calculating DPS.

Equalizer also has limited range. I've caught myself shooting at enemies who were right out of it's effective range. It's good at short range though. Really accurate and easy to get consecutive headshots.

Hurricane is amazing at priming stuff with ammo mods....love it and that fire rate...hurricane is better than the equalizer. Need to put the mag mod on it though and barrel X....

I run around with both the equalizer (8-9?) and hurricane (3-4?) on some characters. Although I think there is a noticeable damage increase at very short ranges with the equalizer, I find myself using it only if I happen to run out of ammo. They both have large damage drop off past ten yards due to spread, but the equalizer seems to drop off faster and does no damage past a certain point. I believe the hurricane also gets a decent damage increase with it's reload speed vs the cooldown of the equalizer.

Best Runs out of ammo exceedingly fast unless its maxed, which means one of your slots doesn't have receiver X and barrel X in it, this is the only drawback on the hurricane. The equalizer hits harder but has a much slower RoF and is way less accurate. The only ARs the hurricane doesn't rule over are the thokin and rev. |
