And in Jacob's case it is bad writing that causes people to not like him. Not his race. I don't like TIM because of his personality, not because of Bioware's writing capabilities or his race. Still haven't seen anyone explain an objective criteria to what makes a characther "badly written". All I hear is "I don't like this black guy's personality, so that must mean he was written badly". Is good writing supposed to make a characther likeable? Miranda will never be likable to me no matter 2deep her daddy issues are. I'm not following this line of logic. What I'm seeing is a lot of "I don't like this guy's personality, so that must mean he was written badly". You are adding the 'black' in there. I don't like Miranda either. Guess we are racist against white people then? :srs:

Is good writing supposed to make a characther likeable? Miranda will never be likable to me no matter 2deep her daddy issues are. I'm not following this line of logic. There's a difference between liking/hating a character based on the character's personality and actions and liking/hating a character based on how well they were written. You can like how a character is written, but hate the character. Good villains/antagonists are this way. For Jacob, it's the fact that every other character on the team they either have something great about them (genetics for Miranda, biotics for Jack, Justicar code for Samara, etc) or they are a returning member from ME1. There's nothing great about Jacob. He's boring compared to the other members. Then to add to this, for female Shepards in ME3 who were imported from a ME2 save where she romanced Jacob, he's in a relationship with another woman and having her baby. None of the LI's for male Shepard cheat on him. The lack of cheating LI for male Shepard is bad writing. The hate that comes from him cheating is a hate the character, like the writing type thing. Then there's the whole female Shepard acting like she wants to get with him during conversations even if she's locked into a relationship with another character. Either bad acting on Hale's part or she was given bad direction.

If that were true no one would like Cora or Miranda. Arguably though Miranda became more human and less shallow by ME3, but point still stands in ME2 she was as shallow and as boring as you could get. Well, there's two very round reasons as to why a lot of people like Miranda It's probably not her deep personality, lol. The suit was two sizes too short, I'm surprised it didn't have a hole or two in it, lol. How about that "romance" scene? I think the "romance" scene and the sleazy TnA are the reasons Miranda is so loved.

As far as ME2 rumps go, I prefer Kasumi's: s19.postimg.org/y6zjpvzpf/MEKasumi_Solo_Game.jpg

I find the constant recall to Jacob being the series' punching bag as the most hated charather to be pretty racist, honestly. You would be led to believe Jacob was the reincarnate of Satan if you went by people's opinions and poll votes. People can't leave it off at boring. Even then, the "boringness" in itself is slated to be worst of all worst of a characther trait... If he was hated based on being black yes that would be racist. But if characters is hated based on people finding him boring and poorly written especially fem!shepard wise, how is that about his skin color at all? There is others characters that are quite widely disliked as well who aren't black so why make it about skin color with Jacob?

I can't speak for Dragon Age but Liam is simply annoying, Jacob is bland and betrayed femShep if romanced.

Considering you proposing the Melanin Theory in another thread as being a fact I am not inclined to take anything you say in this context at face value. cloud9 is a worthless racist, not worth your time.

It would seem the discussion has come to an end. We're done here.
