Disciple V is the best weapon I have and it feels decent because everything else I have is crap.
Didn't play gold yet. Can I take it to gold, or should I wait for something better?

Charger is actually not terrible. You don't have the raptor by chance do you? What character did you have in mind? I have a raptor 7 but it feels considerably weaker than disciple. I play Asari Adept mostly for up close and personal with some melee mixed in. |

My Asari Adept used a Disciple IV in a couple of gold matches with some success. Run into a group, some biotic combos, some shotgun blasts with some pretty decent damage. Reload time is the only issue I had with it, but manageable if you know what you're doing. I did switch to the Talon once I unlocked that, and am enjoying the quicker reloads, but thought the damage was pretty similar between the two. So not a terrible gun until you unlock something better  |

I would reevaluate the raptor on a class with turbocharge. I did, I tried raptor on 20 soldier with maxed turbocharge. It was decent. But disciple does more dmg on the same soldier, and even more from 40% boost from annihilation on asari adept. |

I would throw in a vote for Charger simply because: 1) It is very much accessible to anyone 2) Despite being Common, thanks to the rate of fire it can provide chip damage 3) You can somewhat pseudo- I made an Poor Man's video guide on farming gold while having less than desirable manifest. |

Equalizer is great for power spamming builds that get you in close, but it has limited range so be sure to also bring something that can damage stuff that's far away.

No ammo huge spread slow as asari menstruation reload There are two shotguns you care about the talon and the piranha. that's it. Eh... Talon is a pistol that shoots like a shotgun. Hesh is only slightly heavier and has half again the dps. Piranha is very heavy (until you rank it up, but it is also an ultra rare so good luck with that) and damage is comparable to the Hesh (but accuracy is better so maybe Piranha has a better effective range?) It does keep firing when you hold down the "trigger", though, so that is nice. Dhan shoots target-seeking plasma balls. Only two of them so you need a character who already spends plenty of time hugging cover for reloading, but with that limitation it's also a decent shot gun. Meanwhile, Venom - if you can master its bouncing and charging mechanisms - does AOE damage so might also belong in the hands of the right person. (But... ok... if you are calling Talon a shotgun you might call Venom a grenade launcher...) |
