Vanquisher X does less damage than Black Widow 1, so off-host, the Black Widow is the superior weapon. Vanquisher X does 810. BW I does 771. Even at X, the advantage the Black Widow has over Vanquisher is just 81 dmg. Vanquisher is lighter, has higher ROF and a bigger magazine. Even with the fixed weakpoint multiplier, it's still the better gun. Which is nothing short of insane, considering that it's one rarity tier lower. I am really seriously hoping that they will do it justice and make the BW into the OHK headshotting machine it was meant to be. And I'm not even a sniper rifle guy. I do think it's totally reasonable to discuss changing some weapon attributes, and it's obvious why the Vanquisher stands out. Maybe we'd want to buff the BW damage by 10% and raise the weak point multiplier for Valiant up to 3.0x or 3.5x? Also, if you lowered the Vanquisher's damage by 10% it would start needing sniper amps + elemental ammo to 1 shot headshot mooks on Gold even with character damage passives. That might be enough to properly sort it with BW and Valiant. I don't necessarily think we don't believe Vanquisher might be a little too good, but it's obvious many other weapons need to be improved first. |
