Archon didn't even rate as annoying as Kai Leng.
I guess Salarians vs Krogan was supposed to be like Ash/kaidan choice? Meh.
We can only hope for evolution of characters as interesting as Jack's.
They missed a bunch of them but this is a good baseline for some of what they really needed to have. Most noteworthy, where is our Saren in MEA1?

To be fair the trilogy was pretty unique and it reached a place few other gaming franchises ever reached. I never expected Andromeda to replicate the trilogy but at the same time Andromeda never had that moment that the trilogy had on multiple occasions. Andromeda is still a good game to me but it lacks that intangible something that made the trilogy great and unique.

Personally I think ME3 dominates in the special moments because of the buildup the other games established. Mordin's soul searching in ME2 made the genophage ending extra special. As he is my favorite character of all the companions, as well as being the best written, in my opinion, it was both painful and immensely satisfying to watch him go out like he did.

I don't agree with a few of the moments in that video
For me, one of the best scenes/moments is the conversation between Harbinger and Shepard in Arrival

Archon is way better than Kai Leng. To be fair, Kai Leng isn't so much a real character in ME3 as he is an extension of the Illusive Man that we can actually fight on the field. This is my way of reconciling how much he actually sucks as a character. If he was a true anti-Shepard, he should have been the leader of an actual team that we can whittle down throughout the game until we get to the big guy himself.

Can't compare a trilogy to a new game. ME1 had a few moments, but nothing big, same as MEA. It's the later ME games that took off.

I dunno. Harbinger calling Shepard an annoyance was kind of lame. If it was trying to demoralize, that's not going to help, since it basically says "Aw man you fucked things up again. Stahp!"

I still wish Harbinger had a bigger role in ME 3.

First time arriving at the Citadel, becoming a Spectre, talking to Sovereign, choosing a friend to die, calling in the fleet to save the Destiny Ascension. There were lots of big moments in ME1 that hit you right in the feels.

Watched first twenty seconds of video posted by OP. Could not proceed. Goosebumps too severe from the music alone.

Sure, ME2/3 profit a lot from the setups (as they should) but ME1 has such great moments as well, even the xth time around (I don't even count anymore). Already looking forward to "Destiny Ascension you are all clear, I repeat you are all clear." It's cheesy as hell but with the music and the VO delivery, it just frigging works!

Like someone said it's not fair to compare one game to three. A lot of the MET moments where built up to in a previous game like curing the Krogan or the Geth and Quarians stuff. Killing Ash or Kadian wasn't a big deal because I barely knew them and they are not that interesting.

Shep walking out of the rubble hit me in the feels. I had no regret leaving Ash behind, even when my Shep romanced her. The other things, like seeing Jack become a teacher was okay, but not earth-shattering to me. The Mordin bits...that got me. The end. Gah. After many play throughs, I still need tissues for that last scene. And no, I didn't kill him myself. But those feels came after a full game of getting to know him. While I do love a lot of the moments, it took me time to get get attached to the characters and it didn't fully happen in the first game.

While I do love a lot of the moments, it took me time to get get attached to the characters and it didn't fully happen in the first game. Yep! I first played the trilogy last year, so it was fresh in my mind when I played MEA, and even though MEA was more like ME1, it had enough character development for me to really fall in love with my team. It's not easy to wrap up relationships in one game, but I got more out of the ones in MEA, then the slow 3-game build-up relationships in the trilogy. By the CItdeal DLC I still didn't feel too attached to some of the crew. Movie night in MEA felt cozy. I can see why they focused on the 6 squadmates and 4 crewmates like DAI did with the companions and advisers. That being said, more music is needed for MEA. I love their main theme, and the Archon's is great, but music is the key to emotions imo. That was lacking.

I given ME3 a lot of crap but it does have a lot of great moments. Finally giving Tali a home, Mordin's death and curing the Krogan, Tali's suicide(if you're an asshole), the talk with Anderson at the end, heck I thought the kiss with your romance is well done during the final battle (Liara has the best), I even got the feels when Thane died.

ME1 though, man that game was loaded with the feels.

I'm still waiting for any game (including my favourite of all times) to give me a moment of awe like the cutscene of the Normandy's first flight to the Citadel. That scene alone means I'll always treasure ME1 as a special gem amongst videogames.
