Yes op they are extremely good, with the rank 6 stun perk they become really great. Best ability in the game, probably not, but maybe the best ability other than cloak and turbocharge. So best damaging ability, maybe. It's certainly the best ability for getting many killing blows and multikills, and when you have the stun evo it helps the whole team by lining targets up for free headshots. Also great on objective waves. To the person who said they are the worst grenade, I strongly disagree. The are definately a lot better than frags, bigger blast radius and more damage, and the stun is far superior to frags rank 6 evo. As for stickies, half the reason they are so good is because you can throw them from cloak to damage bosot them. I still prefer the tripmines overall tbh since stickies are great for nuking armor but tripmines have more utility, a couple of tripmines can halt and destroy a group of 4-5 destined + annointed and any cloaked minions they brought with them. If anyone wants to have some fun play this guy with + 4 power cell capacity booster on zero vs any faction. Very fun to rig the whole sniper lane of doom with 8 tripmines, nothing gets through, not even kett. I have 0 issues with them bugging out. You just need to take proximity radius on rank 4 and throw them on the ground instead of trying to stick to walls. And remember they have around a 1 second arming time before they can be triggered. Trust me they're bugged. If you have a teammate with them you'll notice your mines exploding when he sets his. The game recognizes the active cap as the highest charge capacity. which is why you should never have more than one insurgent on the team. but when you have 1, and he is played well, he is a monster.

Is the rank4 Evo sensor range worth taking or is it better to just take another power cell? Does the sensor range only affect the actual tripping of the mine (with no added damage or effects)?
I agree, this character is an absolute beast!

Lol at the idea of a whole group staying connected for the whole match. You never know who is going to be in your group. You shouldn't have to choose a character based on what others are playing BC of a glitch.

I agree, this character is an absolute beast! Cain mine detonation is a lot more reliable with the sensor evolution. I would choose it over another charge personally.

I agree, this character is an absolute beast! based on my experience with the insurgent, without the sensor range evo, you have to place the trip mine on walls and horizontally in high traffic areas to have it detonate reliably. with the sensor range evo, you can actually use it like a ghetto grenade, as shooting at a target's feet will usually trigger it.
