I'd be fine with them keeping their signature weapon as long as that's what they actually used in cutscenes.
It's been 3 games and they still can't get the cutscene weapons right.

Seriously I would love that and felt it kinda sucked not being able too. That said maybe it can only be two types of guns like an assault rifle and shotgun for someone like drack. Anyone else miss this Not just guns, but armor. I loved some of the costumes you could put on your teammates in DAI. |

Even when you can't change their weapon, your squad-mate still holds wrong weapons in some of the cut scenes. So I guess they have planned it at some point but decide to cut it out because of reasons.

Well they have type of weapons necessary for their use and abilities, drack would not be as useful if he only had a simple pistol instead of his bigger weapon.
Maybe we could choose among the types of weapon, like different pistol for peebee or different assault rifle for Liam.

Next game, are you serious?  They have to patch that back in, or at least a DLC. Another stupid thing from Bioware. Any other game you can equip your team but not this one. I pick up these neat weapons and armor and I can't use it since I already have some neat items equipped. No other choice but to sell. But hey we got an inventory to store all that neat weapons and armor. Too bad we cant change our equipment and of our squadmates neither. To me it seems everything is just fine with the game, all features are very well made. |

They gutted some of the best features of the trilogy in order to make room for the profile system. One of those features was the power wheel which gave us control over the squad including the weapons they used. They did this to appeal to the multiplayer crowd who did not appreciate the deeper aspects of the singleplayer. These were the type of guys who would only do one playthrough as default sheploo soldiers (nonimported at that) and would not experiment with different classes or playstyles. This is the crowd they were trying to appeal to.

Armor choices for team mates - wasn't this a huge issue that they learnt from ME2?.😂 Colours of armor and weapons. Weapons of team chosen by us. Wheel back please..... I'd like to use sets instead of blind luck a combo is set up.😂 Hopefully they learned alot from the mistakes of MEA for MEA 2. I really wanted to kit out the entire team with unique armors that i researched. Plus I'd love to be able to set up say Vetra who would be great with a Black Widow. While my close range Drack holds their attention. The lesson they'll probably take from this is: "People don't like the companions! Cut them entirely!" |

That's actually not even a reason, as beginning from ME1, the Asari used the same exact armor and helmets and humans. Actually, no. ME1 has helmets adjusted to fit Asari. Liara has an Asari helmet at the start of ME2, too. |

Has anyone from Bioware Montreal said why they have gutted player options from the squad to the point where the only control we have now is positioning? It was one thing when they took armor customization for the squad most of us learned to live with it because we still had meaningful control in other ways but now they are just relegated to NPCS at this point that fight with you.

Squadmates are so bloody useless atm that they might as well not be there. Either give me proper squad control with weapons and armor or just get rid of them. ATm they bloody useless. Vetra, poor girl cant shoot straight as her accuracy is so messed up and i dont know why. Peebee wears no bloody armor or helmet, same with jaal no helmet. I hate the stupid breather masks, use proper helmets in combat as there is a reason we invented them.
ME2 also suffered from this with squadmates not having armor or helmet. Well guess what i refuse to use them as so Jaal and Peebee end up being benched whenever possible. Didnt use Liara either in 3 as no helmet. Basically a simple rule they come to a firefight if they properly equipped other wise i consider the character to be a moron and just ignore them.
