I hate this, too. But more often, as soon as they get into the Nomad, I hear the last line of an apparent conversation. And so far, it never comes up again, so I miss the whole thing. Same! Every-time I fast travel, I hear the last line of a convo as soon as we get to the new point. Drives me mad!!! I have stopped fast traveling for the most part, but that can get annoying on the mindless task stuff.

Nothing's more annoying while driving around, some dialogue starts, and for whatever reason, it gets cut off, and then I never get to hear it. Once it starts, let it finish! That's actually also with the OT. If Banter starts stop moving or you could trigger a cut off. That's the worst...SAM covers up all the banter on the Tempest, telling Scott that he has email, that isn't really there.  Yeah, I'll agree with that, actually. Having party banter being interrupted can get annoying. I want to hear it, dammit! Whatever that trigger for banter is needs to be adjusted for local environment. If you're moving into a shooty-shooty scene soon(ish) it doesn't need to trigger to start. Guess I am one of the lucky ones -have not yet had the issue. Has anyone tried adjusting the dynamic range to: Wide (Cinema)? Is this happening for people using a 7.1 Surround Sound Setup? Are Subtitles enabled? What is the Master Volume set to versus the other sound settings: Music, SFX, Dialog? It's more a matter of driving over a hill, or around a corner, and having either SAM, or someone in the party, going "Hey, there's scavengers up ahead!"

In my experience, it's best to sort of 'time' the banter so that when you know it's about to happen, just stop and wait. For me, it seemed SAM talked way too much and my party too little. A bit off balance there, imo.

How about just throw up a little envelope on the hud when i get email? Another for AVP? Something small. In a corner. But without SAM. And yeah, I learned to stop the nomad when theres good banter going.

Completely agree here. Voeld is the worst planet to try to get some banter.
Wish we had an option in which we converse with SAM and he gives us the option to let us "configure" him per say, like less updates about the environment, less updates on the Tempest... and so on.

It's SAM's fault, although I have started hearing Navi's"Hey Listen" ( from Legend of Zelda Ocaria of Time) every so often on Voeld, especially. Not quite sure that's because it's burned in my mind from over playing the LoZ series over the years or that I can't stand the sound of SAM's voice, anymore, so my mind has changed it to Navi instead. They need a mute option for non-critical info. I don't need to hear that I'm entering /leaving a hazertious area constantly, unless my health is so low I'm going to die. I don't need to hear when/where/how to mine constantly either.

I've missed so much dialogue because of SAM. Also, personally I feel there's too much hand holding from SAM's part. "There's a data pad near you... there's a plant/rock near you... you need more glyphs... you need to scan... there's console near you... you need to blah, blah, blah, blah..." Yep, could do without that after, say 100 plus hours in game. Seriously, I know it's hot dammit! Also, I had a broken banter between Cora and Jaal about AI. I only heard Cora, not him and even the subtitles showed only her side. Very weird. I wasn't even near a combat zone, just up in the Kadara hills trying to, er, ' Skyrim' my way over some mountains But on reloading, same banter is still broken. Hmm . . . Thank fully others work just fine. I noticed too, after being on a world for a while they run out of things to say until I get to another one. Yeah, so much of the bolded part.

And when I load to try to hear the banter again, I hear only the end of it. But hey, you can piece two of them together and pretend you have listened the whole conversion right?
