Sorry. I was too busy shooting Space Assholes to notice. This is actually a supremely fitting description of most of the persons we meet and shoot.  I was disappointed by it. I never really enjoyed the whole "Shepard can't dance" joke, anyway. FemShep actually had some moves in ME1. The sequence was brief, and she was armed to the teeth, but she had rhythm. It was cute. Suddenly, in ME2, Shepard is a bad dancer. (The dancing was not stellar. Legendarily bad, though?) By the time of ME3, it was a meme.  |

When this happened with my Ryder I could not stop laughing. A moment like that make me forget and forgive some of the issues with the game. And to reply to the topic. Eh, not really. Bioware dancing animations have never been good. Would it be a nice change if they were, sure... But I am okay with this. |

I saw it as an easter egg of sorts - a throwback to Shepard's bad dancing and all the jokes about it.
So my answer is No, I found it amusing - but there's no option that even comes close to that.

I like Shepard and Ryder's lack of ability to dance. I can't dance to save my life and this is one of the only things I can relate to them with being that I'm not a futuristic super soldier.

After all that time and all he got was a recycled animation? How much you wanna bet this is something they just added at the last minute because they saw the fan demand for Ryder dancing. It's as pathetic as Tali's photo. Aim to please fans by kowtowing but then don't go all the way and it just becomes a disappointment to those who care and either completely missed or "shrug" to those who don't care.

I've no problem with reusing animation. But it sort of felt lame? Like seeing one comedian trying to pass a famous line from another, as his own. Kind of made Ryder feel like Shepard pretender, for a moment( which he/she's not...I very much like what they did with the twins here: different motivations, personalities, more defined background, Chosen one thrope better integrated into storyline, etc...)

Bad dancing was Shepard's thing. I thought Bioware wanted to get away from Shepard and start a new trilogy? It does seem a bit hypocritical. If BioWare wanted to continue the "bad dancing," they should have at least bothered to put in the effort to give Ryder his/her own bad dance moves. A copy/paste of Shepard just makes the entire attempt come across as lazy and cheap, especially considering it adds nothing to the experience. |

On the one hand, I did expect better moves from Ryder (and before anyone says anything about facial animations, the animations of the bodies in this game are fine).
On the other hand, bad dancing is a Mass Effect tradition. So I'm not too upset.

First: I'm disappointed that there is not any amusing poll options, so I will not vote for now.  Second: I suspect that both Ryder and Shepard was taught by Alec Ryder. A secret power dance that will enhance the dancers abilities.  Or people that are meant for greatness just can't dance to balance the universe. |
