The point I was trying to make is there are a lot of postings here about said and said youtuber making a video. Most of them are no names whose opinion doesn't really matter. Your video isn't the first to be posted, nor will it be the last of these no names.

I like most of ME1's maps.... Though if I heard that there was supposed to more Noveria, I might raise an eyebrow in judgmental disgust. Noveria and Taris are fun until you're about half way to the end and it just.... keeps..... going.... I was hoping for the same exploration feeling I had in Mass Effect 1. The wide open, barren surfaces. The mystery of what lies right around the next mountain. The only planet I really felt that from in ME:Andromeda was the first planet. The big mystery in ME1 is how thresher maws colonized the galaxy.

What happened with Andromeda is the same as any other game released since they really started to have hard drives in consoles, and in fact I remember issues on PCs that go even further back they just never fixed console games.
Now if people continue to point out flaws like what happened with Andromeda in future games and "critics" give those games the same amount of negative press I am going to be surprised. I haven't seen the torches and pitchforks for the Guardians of the Galaxy game from Telltale yet and I doubt I there will be videos like this one covering how they are shitting all over their customers by not fixing problems that have been in their games since the first Walking Dead game. Or that Bethesda makes sure the game works themselves and not having people who want a working game to fix it themselves. There was even an article on Polygon about Persona 5 and how the dubbing was subpar and aside from that one article I haven't seen a lot of coverage on it. People want to use BioWare as clickbait and until complaints seem to be consistent between games and developers that is all it seems to be to be regardless of how long you have been talking about a single game or studio.

Consumers are beta testers nowadays. Paying for a full product to test the product lol. /Facepalm I never pay full price if its a first day purchase. BioWare were the ones who got burned doing it this time. Talk about a backlash.

The animations are not fixed.
The characters talk and words still don't come out for 3 secobds afterwards.
If anything the lip synching is worse after the patch.

The overall theme of what he said is not new. But as someone who hated ME3 ending even with EC, I was very optimistic they learned from their mistakes. And a lot of time passed since ME3 so Andromeda was available for prepurchase i went for the deluxe pack prepurchase. Now i know that for the rest of the MEA series i will be buying the game months after release with lower price and better features. DLC extra paid content should not have to be something you buy to fix the experience.
Plus I would add that I dont really distinguish between Bioware and EA anymore. Its pretty much the same entity and I feel EA is just going to take the sports game approach to bioware titles

It's annoying, like others are saying, we can't even properly enjoy games without dealing with bugs and broken mechanics. We pay full price to beta test a game and wait months to actually enjoy it. It's become commonplace to troubleshoot bugs online, seeking for solutions, and communicating with devs for fixes. That's how I deal the release of a game instead of celebrating and experiencing it. It tarnishes any good memory I might have. It's not just this game, but most games I play nowadays. Man I miss those days where patches didn't exist; you'd pay money and the game would work.

It is interesting right around launch DAI got delayed a month. Mea did not get that same courtesy. Delaying DA:I did nothing to improve the monotony, the boring game play, and other things, imho. So i doubt it would have helped MEA much, I would much rather play MEA with any problems than even download DA:I again

You know...I remember the Bioware forums from the Mass Effect 1 release. Then the move to the new forums. Now here. Every release Bioware makes is the same damn thing all over again. Every game has legitimate issues. All of 'em had stupid shit, either dumb plots, dumbed down RPG mechanics, too liner, too open world, too much loot and crazy inventory system, no inventory system and no loot, too complex of a leveling system, too dumbed down skill selections... I mean, holy hell. In the wake of the ME3 ending debacle, I completely forgot about the bullshit that comes along with any Bioware fan forum. Every game was "the end of Bioware/Mass Effect/Dragon Age" or "Why can't we go back to KotOR?" This has got to be the most fickle and downright idiotic fandom in all of gaming. There are exceptions, even some of you I disagree with vehemently are decent people. But overall? Yeah, I'm kinda wondering just why the hell I jumped back into this madhouse.

It is interesting right around launch DAI got delayed a month. Mea did not get that same courtesy. Andromeda had 2 extra years of dev time and it got delayed 3 months. It didn't need the courtesy and it being delayed 3 months showed they never took advantage of it anyways. They also cancelled the MP beta so I doubt they really cared to even make sure it launched in a fit shape, all about meeting those quarterly deadlines.

Lol. Literally hundreds of Youtube "celebrities" have converged on BioWare to squawk about how much ME:A sucks. But this. THIS will be the one that gets their attention. It's funny too. I have a small YouTube channel. I don't want or need to become a "celebrity." I just like making videos. But I've seen the same thing time and time again amongst a large portion of Youtube "celebrities." The opinion that gets out first is generally the one that people latch onto. Youtubers LIVE by views, and if an opinion gets popular, next thing you know EVERYONE's on that opinion train, trying to out-do each other for the views. It's very similar to online "review" sites. They come up with click-bait titles, throw together the "opinion of the day" and try to farm the clicks and views. I'd say there is a very large dearth of actual, honest reporting/reviewing on these sites. They just come up with what they think will garner the most attention, and roll with it ad nauseam. And people are sheep. A person can have intelligent thoughts, but people just follow the opinions they hear/see the most. And most people are fascinated by bad news. Combine all this together, and I give almost no credence to someone who comes on here and trashes the game with the same old phrases and concepts I've seen countless places elsewhere, or when I hear/read a review that rehashes the same tired content other's have said continuously.

I am the gentler one of the bunch. In a way, I kind of concur with you. People have opinions, whatever, but really I only care about how *I* feel about the game. If I followed even a fraction of the YouTubers who ranted about what they hated, I'd probably fall in with their thinking. Therefore, I simply ignore them and form my own opinion. It's not that their opinions are invalid; it's simply that it's *their* opinion, not mine. I'd rather first establish my own feelings (unless I'm using that as a basis for buying) before listening to what others have to say. So, I'll say this. Still think ME3 is my favorite of the OT, endings and all.

It feels like there's some context missing. It's true, the thought 'who?' and 'what video?' crossed my mind... As for the topic at hand: I really like MEA, I'm coping with its issues, despite which there is huge and in my view enjoyable game underneath. I just have to imagine the conversation over the holidays: - EA: "So, you've been testing, the game's good to launch in March, yes?"
- BioWare: "Sure it plays great, be nice to have a little more time, though"
- EA: "But we've already got MEA in our Financial Year 2016/17 numbers, a March launch would release that revenue."
- BioWare: "Oh ok, I'm sure we'll make it, would be nice to have another 6 weeks like DAI but let's go for it. (gulp)"
In my view the game is much better than the reviews (some of whom are 'kick BioWare' clickbait) give credit for, but the problem is that lack of polish allowed the memes and mockery to take hold.
I liked DAI but I find MEA a more enjoyable game to play.
The differing critical reception to DAI and MEA is misleading, I find the two games are more alike than unalike and MEA has addressed some things from DAI I didn't like.

I honestly wonder if BioWare Montreal even asked. I just think A. given the reports of bad management and B. given their relative youth of the overall studio and staff I just think it was more like... EA: The game is good to go in March right? BWM: Sure everything is A OK to go boss! (oh god what have we done?) I just think that BWM lacks the maturity, the experience, and the pull to really know when/ how to ask for another extension. Whereas Edmenton does.

We'll never know. In my book, a few 'face hurts' and quest issues are much better than ME3 stuffing up the ending...
