Did you hang out in the infectious diseases ward or something 🤪? Sorry to hear, hope you are feeling better soon! The infectious disease ward? You mean my sister's house which includes three gremlins, one of which is always sick with some kindergarden-or-school-proof mutated supergerms? Why yes I have! And thanks! Here, sounds like you need this as well: Get better soon, Owl! And drink good cocoa, quality cocoa always helps!

Oh dear. Sounds like you've got the cold from hell. Or possibly allergy. I've got that charming junkie-look myself on account of all the pollen that's in the air right now. Complete with itchy eyes and itchier throat. But at least my ears feel fine. Seriously though, I hope you feel better soon. Thank you, and you get well, too! It's not allergies for me, just a bug that I caught somewhere, so I'm sure it'll go away soon. Hope those pollen won't bug you for much longer. :/ The infectious disease ward? You mean my sister's house which includes three gremlins, one of which is always sick with some kindergarden-or-school-proof mutated supergerms? Why yes I have! And thanks! Here, sounds like you need this as well: Get better soon, Owl! And drink good cocoa, quality cocoa always helps! Thanks Beetle, I'm getting there. *takes card just in case* Can I put rum into my cocoa? That must taste like ... a liquid Rum-Kokos-Kugel!

Had a premade Caesar salad for lunch at work. Comes in a plastic square container. Get up, wash the lettuce, sit back down and put the packets of croutons, bacon & cheese in. Thats all good. Open the corner of the dressing and squeeze in. Use 2 hands to get all dressing out. 1 hand slips cos still wet from washing the lettuce. Smack the corner of the container which then flips and deposits everything over the table. Dressing goes everywhere. Floor, window and most of my sleeve. Eyeroll. Clean up. Put the salvageable salad back in the bowl. Get hand dirty. Think its sauce. Lick it. Its dishwashing liquid soap. 2nd eyeroll. Eat most of said salad. Get to bottom. Find salad dressing packet buried at the bottom. 3rd eyeroll. Throw rubbish in bin. Accidentally threw out fork. Luckily bin is mostly empty. Rage quit from salad for a week.

I have so much fever I cant even see straight. My brain is getting cooked.... Take a long shower with mildly cool'ish water. NOT COLD! Not colder than is pleasant, but chill yourself down. I've been there myself a couple of times. ...And I seem to be on my fourth flu for the year myself. It is extremely tiresome and morale breaking. At least I now know why I had a headache a couple of days ago.

If you can't see straight, it sounds serious. Possibly something else. When I've had very high fevers, I typically hallucinate, start to have crazy perceptions and thoughts.

My dog has been hit by a car and well, I have been taking care of him, dressing his wounds and such. He is a very good dog, so he does not complain. However, it breaks my heart to see him so down, scared, and almost sad, as he is a very energetic dog. He was very lucky tho, he only has some wounds on one of his hind legs/paws, it could have been so much worse.

I've been having fever from 39 up to 40 degree Celsius for three days now. Doc gave me some meds that help me to lower my fever to a survivable degree, and every now and then I wrap myself in cold towels for an hour or two. THAT sucks, but it sure helps, mom did that when my fever got too high when I was a kid. Also I got a blood screening and they found out I have a very big iron deficiency, its almost completely gone. I have like 20 ml or whatever the measurement is, I know anything below 50 is basically running on empty. Maybe that is aggravating my situation. Hma, I think Chenowl Blanc infected me over the internets with her bird flu, curse you!

Hma, I think Chenowl Blanc infected me over the internets with her bird flu, curse you! Aw, shucks! Really sorry to hear that Beetle. I swear I'm innocent though, I had barely any fever at all, just all the other random stuff and pain everywhere. (I'm pretty much recovered now, which doesn't help my case because you might think I jinxed you.) The iron deficiency sucks big time, I bet it makes everything a lot worse. My sister had that last year, almost exactly the same stats as you, and it took a few months until it was back to normal in a way that she also felt normal again. On the bright side, you don't loose an irritating amount of blood every month so you might re-fill your iron reservoir more quickly. xD I really wish you all the best and hope you get better soon! Don't forget the cocoa that you advised me to drink. Edit: btw, a word about my day. Now that I'm not sick any more, my body resumes its self-destructive behaviour by making me clumsier than usual. I burned my forearm along the rim of a super hot pan, and as it's basically a straight line, it now looks like I've tried to slit my wrist. *insert face palm here*

Ironically I most likely get one too now. Thanks! Also that kind of burn happened to me too once! I cook a lot using pans and once I was reaching into it to turn some beef, not minding the burning hot rim of the pan. Nearly melted through my tendos too!

Actually, I even feel a little bit better now. I'll probably get to sleep tonight. Can breathe and everything. Iron deficiency? You sure you aren't bleeding somewhere? Small detail, but always combine coffee with a glass of orange juice. Coffee blocks iron. Oranges somehow disable the block.

Well alive, barely, after that post I went to the hospital because my temperatures climbed above 41C / 106F and just didn't go down. Just left, now my fever has mostly subsided - according to the docs it was a very nasty virus infection, but I will never now for sure. Maybe a gift from my lovely mouse-eating, lizard-mutilating, bug-devouring, butt licking cats.- When my gut problems started last year I lost a ton of blood over the course of 4 months, leading to the iron deficiency. Now I have to do a diet that is low in iron to keep my guts from getting inflamed again, problem is its not enough to get the iron back to normal and I cant eat iron supplements as those are known to cause gut inflammation. I'll have to get my a transfusion. On the upside, in the hospital I finished ''The Black Company''. I really started to like that book after the first chapter and it did not disappoint till the end. Can't wait to read the next book in line.

Uh that sucks! Hope you are feeling better soon! Thanks. The last 1.5 years have been utter suckage for me. Nearly every day bad news or a new evil that raises its head and needs to be fought - I simply imagine I'm a soldier constantly at war, that attitude gets me through it all.

I survived the fever but I just discovered I have got gastritis as farewell present from the virus infection. Didn't have much appetite for some reason but stuffed my face with chicken and fries anyway, all was relatively fine till suddenly halfway in the meal I felt so incredibly sick I had to concentrate incredibly hard on not puking my guts out. I tell you I was so close to puking the slightest movement would have caused me to erupt like the freaking Vesuvius.

I got it for about 2 weeks, few months ago, and I had lost almost 10 kg since I practically didn't eat bc of the pain.

I'll try eating small meals but more often. I do lots of weight lifting so I need to eat, I'm gonna eat even if I have to force the food down my throat with a broomhandle, nobody fucks with my life, not even gastritis. Is yours bacterial or from other causes? Mine is probably from the medications used to battle my viral infection. Do you take any meds to combat it? I've heard that antibiotics can help as its often caused by one specific bacteria.

I have reminded everyone I work with as to how clumsy I really am. I picked up a wet (condensation on the outside) drink container. It slipped out of my hands (fake nails are decidedly not great on giving you accurate feedback on how well you are holding something), smacked onto the corner of the table, split from top to bottom (cheap takeaway plastic cup) and exploded all over the floor. Luckily, I didn't get it on anyone 😬. It was close through 😅. I generally spill or knock stuff over or walk into things on a regular basis. It usually ends up being a coffee drink that gets spilt though 😂.

I've heard that antibiotics can help as its often caused by one specific bacteria. It was caused as my stomach and colon were inflamed and weakened bc I previously had a quite nasty gastroenteritis (well my doc told me so ). So I guess it started with a viral infection.
