I turned in at my former job to work for a day. They phoned me. I did a bit of desperately needed programming, and wrote some documentation. After I got home, I realized I had probably done a mistake in the documentation. I'll call them tomorrow and warn them. But I need to look at it again. So at some time I'll have to go back. I will anyway, so doesn't matter.
It was fun. It's kinda emotionally rewarding to be needed. It felt a teeny bit like 'coming home'. 'My' Crows and Harrier was on 'my' lawn again. And a Magpie. My office was mostly left untouched. It seems to still be considered to be 'mine'. Until they need it for something else, I suppose. And they probably count on me returning for more times. I do too.
No bittersweet emotional reaction this time though. It was fun for a day, but I don't regret quitting. I'm happier working for myself, with my own projects, doing things I want to do and think are even more fun. Also, I have time for more exercise and sleep, and am becoming healthier.
But still, it was fun.

Moved some furniture and in the process I destroyed the upper half of my internet cable. Unfortunately I do not have the equipment to set a new plug, if I had I would have simply used a hub and a another cable. I also did not have a replacement cable long enough either - so what did I do? I cut off the damaged part and connected it to an old cable piece that still had a plug. I wanted to use a screw cable joint like the ones you used to connect lamps on the ceiling, unfortunately those were waaaay too big for the fine fibers of the internet cable. So I had to do it oldschool. And it works! Now I only need to wrap it in tinfoil for insulation. The Mad Max universe is nothing compared to mine.

Oh man, I had to moderate the living hell out of a forum today. Delete threads, give people temporary bans etc. I'm not a zealot, I like it when I don't have anything to do as moderator.
There is a bunch of old users in their 60 and 70's and they think they can get away with offending people and being plain rude all the time simply because of their age. When measures are finally being taken they complain they're treated so unfairly and they are old and wise and whatnot.
I always remind them that age got nothing to do with it and rules apply to every user equally, same with respect. I always remind them of the paragraphs and rules. I find it disgusting and annoying how old people wield their age like a weapon, or a shield. Trees grow much older and they are not really wise nor intellectually impressive.
I hope when I'm old I'm not such a cowardly, annoying and grumpy bunghole.

Today I saw my newborn nephew for the first time, wow, such a cute little calm baby he is! He gripped my finger really hard and waved his arms most enthusiastically like he was beating an invisible drum. All good signs! If that is what its like to have kids I definitely want a kid too someday.

Couple of days ago, I felt sick during the night. Slightly freezing as I got to bed, as if in fever. Though in retrospect, it was probably just chilly. Only got about 3h sleep though, and was rather uncomfortable during the night. I didn't really feel sore in the nose and throat, but it was as if something was going on. So eventually I was half convinced I'd got Covid19. Morning comes, I get up and feel great. Nothing wrong.
Next two nights I was well but had some weird dreams, which I have decided not to tell in the Dream thread. I have lived a periodically extreme life, and some shit that comes up in dreams is not fit for recounting. These were such events. I wondered again if a Covid19 virus was settling in me. But again, felt good during the days.
The other day, my exercise was easy to get through. My body feeling strong, and I even considered ramping up my exercise sessions to 2½ hour (from 2h 10m). But today, it felt really heavy and, not exactly exhausting, but "rubbery", or like moving in syrup. Towards the end I was almost stumbling. A couple hours later I felt really great though.
I don't know what's going on, but I'm slightly worried about that something might be wrong with me.
Possible "fine" causes might be too little sleep and that I'm trying to slowly lose a bit weight. I've lost more than 10 pounds since I quit working back in March. Also, I finished a bag of licorice too quickly, in just 2 and ½ days, and overdosing licorice always make me feel a bit weak in arms and legs.
Baah, it's probably the licorice.

Try eating something sugary during your exercises, I'm no doctor but this sounds like a combination of lack of sleep and low blood sugar.

But okay, I'll have a banana next time. Low sugar is better than no sugar. Eat carbs a couple hours before exercise and right before or during exercise drink a fruit shake or eat some dextrose bars. (But not too much, otherwise you will puke depending on the kind of exercise you are performing) Also, exercising very late helps, late in the day your blood is rich with nutrients and sugar from the meals you ate, that is why I train 2 hours before going to bed - to get the absolute max performance.

Do you take any meds? Licorice can interfere with some of them 2.5 mg Felodipin. My blood pressure is fine, 120/83 pulse 55-60. Problem is, if I don't take that minimum dose Felodipin, my blood pressure goes through the roof in just a couple of days. And other blood pressure medicines don't seem to have much positive effects on me.

High blood pressure can have so many causes, mainly stress. At age 20-25 I used to have high blood pressure, ranging from 140-145/90-95, then at age 25 it suddenly dropped down to about 125/80 and that's how its been for the past 7 years. When resting (office work sitting etc) I even tend to go down to 100/65. I got my heart checked 2 years ago and I have an above average healthy heart, its also very large but still inside the healthy range. Probably from the lifting.-
Also, overtraining can totally spike your blood pressure for very long times, what really helps is keeping up the intensity but taking 3-4 days off between exercises. Overtraining is also always accompanied with insomnia. If your training Includes lifting weights one way to check if you are overtrained is testing grip strength, if its is significantly lower than usual, and/or it keeps dwindling, that's an indication of overtraining.
Doctor beetle recommends a slightly more sugary diet, exercise later in the day and spacing out the exercise days.

I got sick again. Or rather, I got feeling like sick again. It lasted from evening to late morning. This time a bit more defined, with a runny nose. I checked with Covid19 symptoms but nothing checks. But it's also not a cold.
However, this time I have a suspect, checked in for all three occasions. Peanuts! I've never been a big peanut eater, never eats peanut butter. But I've also eaten peanuts, off and on, my whole life, and never associated any sickness with it. The peanuts is a brand I've had before and they seem perfectly healthy and nice, not spoiled. Anyway, I'll stay off the peanuts, and we'll see.
Cancelled exercise today, that means two days rest.

Peanuts is the most allergenic food there is, so it makes sense. I'm allergic to peanuts too, makes me extremely tired, oftentimes accompanied by a painful rash.
Its also one of the most pesticide contaminated foods there is. A coincidence? I think not.

Today I resigned from my duties as lead moderator of a big forum. Suddenly, and without warning administration of this site decided to undertake major changes to the forum without any warning, banning 1/3 of the users without warning for even the slightest critic, removing the personal message function and removing thousands of old posts, making registration to the site only possible by mailing passport scans making it all truename. First I thought the site was hacked, but turns out its the utterly hamfisted attempt from administration to save costs and to silence those that even remotely disagree with the new measures. I resigned because of solidarity to the banned users, some of them old friends with tens of thousands of posts, and also because I cannot follow that path and be made partly responsible for that kind of exodus. I've never seen so much destruction in such a short time, its really sad.

Had a good day! I feel really good today, I also sold 2 very expensive objects I thought I would never ever sell because of the high price and due to the pandemic circumstances. Sold them within a day with very acceptable prices, and even had a nice conversation with the buyer. With the money I can now afford something I've always wanted. Also, to continue with the productiveness, I just cleaned and scrubbed my bathroom, toilet and shower to a mirror finish.
