No, he was right. But those games are indeed Fallout 4, and Wolfenstein 2 (in 2018) for the Switch. New games? no, unannounced for that system? yes.

Even so, you'd think he'd know about what was being made and what was not. Regardless, if it was a "concussion". It seems like a rather weird slip of a tounge; especially when during the interview he was allowed to elebrate on it.

Pete Hines is weird. Todd Howard said that 'of course we're working on TES6.' then Hines was all 'nah we ain't even started.'
I don't even know who to listen to with Bethesda's PR.

It seems like a rather weird slip of a tounge; especially when during the interview he was allowed to elebrate on it. No, that was actually a joke he was making on twitter to a youtuber. However, I've found it annoying too how many times they said "yes, no, yes, no" . As I've said above, the unannounced games are actually FO4 and Wolfentstein 2 coming to the Switch, apparently. That makes sense if you think they haven't done any publicity, because there's no need. Pete Hines is weird. Todd Howard said that 'of course we're working on TES6.' then Hines was all 'nah we ain't even started.' I don't even know who to listen to with Bethesda's PR. I know, they are really terrible. Look at Creation Club even their PR skills are absolute trash. I doubt they are not working on TES6, the way I see it, Pete Hines said that to rest importance to the title when they plan to release other games first. But is obvious they are working on it, or else we'll find ourselves in 2025 and still without a release date for TES6.

He's said some weird shit on Twitter. I want to know just who is making Star Field and who is on the next TES. My understanding was that their dev studio was only around 100 people. Surely that many are needed for either of these games.

Looking for a space based RPG to fill my Mass Effect void, stumbled upon Starfield and this thread... it's only ahead of a new Mass Effect insofar we have seen a little teaser announcement video at E3 2018

Given the beating Bethesda has been taking over Fallout 76 and it's related woes I don't have high hopes for Starfield or the next TES game whenever they appear especially if they use the very dated Creation Engine. It needs to be put out to pasture.

Sadly, I feel the same way. Plus, their Creation Club shenagigans and no Steam direction has made me dislike Zenimax/Bethesda quite a bit the past year or so. I have no interest in playing another game that I need to fix every month.
I'm somewhat interested in Rage 2 but might buy on PS4 instead of PC just to avoid having to install yet another crappy launcher. This distribution platform war is very anti consumer especially if used to disable refunds.

The only game that Zenimax/Bethesda has at the moment that's not giving them problems is ESO, which when you think about it is really ironic

It needs to be put out to pasture. Meh. They were trying something new so I don’t think it will reflect on their SP standard. Starfield will use the creation engine which is dated but it works. If it’s a sci-fi Skyrim I’ll be pretty happy. I hope it’s got space magic. My only concern is if they rush it to cover any losses from 76 it might be lacking. ES6 is supposedly going to be on a different engine.

Makes me think of the BEST screensaver for Windows 95/98.
All those white pixels "zooming" past, I remember watching it for a full 20 minutes. (That's a long time for 7-year-old me in 1998)
I was absolutely convinced that if I waited long enough, I'd see a planet on that screensaver.
More to the point, I'm sure I'll like this game, whenever it arrives.

Wonder if they'll show something at E3, maybe a trailer this time? after all, they announced it at past E3, people will want to see something the next E3 and so forth. Makes me think of the BEST screensaver for Windows 95/98. All those white pixels "zooming" past, I remember watching it for a full 20 minutes. (That's a long time for 7-year-old me in 1998) I was absolutely convinced that if I waited long enough, I'd see a planet on that screensaver. Yeah that's why I don't like teasers in general, it's just 10 seconds of nothing and the tittle of the game is the only clear thing you get out of it.

Gamespot: E3 2019 - Todd Howard On Starfield, Bethesda's First New IP In 25 Yearswww.gamespot.com/articles/e3-2019-todd-howard-on-starfield-bethesdas-first-n/1100-6467731/?ftag=GSS-05-10aab8e&utm_campaign=trueAnthem%3A%20Trending%20Content&utm_content=5d02dc99e84fc20001ce894d&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=twitterHoward explained that Bethesda's goal with Starfield--which is Bethesda's first new IP in 25 years--is to have it stand apart from the wealth of science fiction stories out there in media.
"There is a lot of science fiction. There's less in games actually; there's more in movies and television," Howard said. "And for us, that's a world and IP and game we've thought about for a decade. It's our first new IP in 25 years."
"Our goal is it has its uniqueness where it stands up with Fallout and Elder Scrolls and Starfield, and it's its own thing. We spend a lot of time on tone. Not just game flow, but how does it feel so you look at it and say, 'That's Starfield' versus Star Trek or Star Wars."
Unfortunately, because it's so early, Howard is talking about specifics about Starfield at this stage. The game skipped E3 2019, which was the same for Bethesda's other major upcoming game, The Elder Scrolls VI. Howard has talked about how both Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI may not release until the next-generation of consoles come out.PC Gamer: Space travel in Starfield is as dangerous as 'flight in the '40s'www.pcgamer.com/space-travel-in-starfield-is-as-dangerous-as-flight-in-the-40s/During a muddled E3 Coliseum chat between rich car guy Elon Musk and rich Skyrim guy Todd Howard, the latter gave us a tiny detail about Bethesda Game Studios' next big RPG, Starfield.
"Traveling in space in our game, I want to say it's like flight in the '40s, like it's dangerous," said Howard. "It's still dangerous to go and explore, even though lots of people do it."
Howard also said he visited Musk's SpaceX headquarters as part of an effort to bring "authenticity" to Starfield, and mentioned that Helium-3—a speculative fuel for nuclear fusion—could be the isotope used to fuel Starfield's ships, or at least is something to be debated.
Starfield shouldn't be confused for a rocket engineering sim, though. "We have to gamify it some," said Howard, "so that it's not as punishing as actual space travel."
My impression is that, while it's an RPG and not a sim, Starfield's setting and fiction will lean toward 'hard sci-fi'—speculative, but grounded in present-day theory. As for when we'll see more, Howard repeated that we'll need to be patient.

Helium 3?! Mass Effect prequel confirmed Helium-3 is just the most feasible form of fuel for speculative fusion reactors these days. Hard scifi tends to use it quite a bit (you can also find it as a major form of fuel in The Expanse, Star Citizen lore or books like Frank Schaetzing's Limit). But yea, I admit, ME also always springs to mind first when I hear it.

Assuming some/all of this is vaguely accurate...
PG doesn't have a good track record but I actually have a lot of faith in Bethesda to do something epic with it, and having it partially done by hand will keep it in check.

That's one thing I liked about Mass Effect, all the tech is "grounded" in reality (speculative, but still), with only the eponymous "mass effect" being the really big "fiction" part. Even biotics are "realistic", inasmuch as it is.
That's a lotta quotation marks.
My point is that this game, when it ever comes out, looks to be realistic but still a game.

Which is to say it’s still space magic but the put something into it. That being said. I want space magic in starfield.

In terms of gameplay, some form of magic just offers too much variety to pass up. I do hope they go the ME route though and put some thought into it and don't just go "mutations gave some people super powers" or whatever. I really can't wait to get some more details on the kind of universe they are creating for Starfield.

Sounds like they are trying to put at least some fake science behind it, with the helium 3 stuff that was leaked. But, yeah space magic is just offers a lot that is hard to pass up. I love that stuff so I want it in. Mass Effect while I played soldier, engineer etc is was usually like once adept like a million times, hybrid biotics the 2nd most often. Doing another mass effect Andromeda run, and I roll back to adept without thinking about it.

Taking the name of the game... most likely and game where man is venturing into the stars for the first time... Seeing their first "star-field" at or beyond FTL speed. Most likely man build rockets to space then building star ships in orbit and then launching said star-ship into interstellar space to explore discover and maybe colonize... just hope it does not turn into a No Man's Sky scenario.
