With news for the next season of The Walking Dead slowly trickling in, I thought I'd open a thread for all games from Telltale. Personally, I've only played the games from The Walking Dead onward and my favorite, by far, is The Wolf Among Us. Started reading the comics because of the game and those were awesome as well. I'm still quietly hoping for a second season for it. Second favorite is probably Tales from the Borderlands. Really fun and enjoyable, even though I haven't played the Borderlands games themselves. What are your favorite Telltale games? Do you enjoy the decision making? The stories themselves? Looking forward to the next games or hoping that they slow down and focus on their existing game series? I really hope that they keep working and improving their game engine. Performance on PC is acceptable, but it still doesn't look as good as I'm sure it could. And I think they should stop acquiring new IPs and should just keep focusing on the ones that have proven successful.

I played Tales from the Borderlands beause I'm a huge Borderlands fan. That was my first telltale game. Also played The Wolf Among Us and I loved it. Need to play both of them again soon. I think about buying the new telltale batman game but I'm not sure yet.

I've played a few of them. Loved the first season of The Walking Dead, but the second was an exercise in trauma fatigue for me. Once it became clear that most of the cast were going to end up dead no matter what I did, I found it difficult to get emotionally engaged. By the end of the game, I didn't even feel anything when I made Clementine shoot Kenny.
I think the real problem was that there wasn't a strong central relationship in the second season. I mean, I know that the point is that Clementine had that bond with Lee and now she doesn't have it any more, but it made it hard for me to care about any of the other characters. I didn't enjoy The Wolf Among Us that much, either, but it's my own fault for buying it after dropping the comic series a few volumes in. I am planning to check out their Batman game once it's done, if the reviews are favourable. I'm also interested to see what the Marvel game they're planning is about.

Walking Dead S1, TWAU and Tales from the Borderlands where there best, their other stuff, meh. Also thanks to Walking Dead S2 I have little interest in S3.

Tales from the Borderlands was the best they've made since their last Sam & Max game. It's the closest to the feel of the old school adventure games.

Tales from the Borderlands was amazing, that and Walking Dead Season 1 were their best games. I also liked The Wolf Among Us as well.

I mostly liked S1 of Walking Dead, not so much S2. Though I've gotten increasingly tired of the relentless cynicism of the TWD franchise in general, which was a big part of what bugged me about S2. With the exception of one scene in S1, you were allowed to have Lee follow something other than the Rick Grimes path of getting increasingly violent and ruthless as time goes by.
In S2, Clementine sometimes seems to have more influence over a group of adults than she should, but then at critical points she isn't asked for her opinion at all. I don't see how what her group did to escape the hardware store (luring a bunch of walkers there) was any more justified than what Daniel pulled at the end of Season 1 of Fear the Walking Dead.

Going "full renegade" in TWAU was top notch fun, nothing beats tearing up a strip club and beating up it's owner.

My big problem is how TT tried to do the whole "Kenny is a ticking time bomb" and how do they do this? By do multiple kick the dog moments on him and putting him through so many trauma counga lines and even making him go OOC at one instance No shit he snaps at the end, anyone would by then, tldr, TT failed to make me take Janes side big time.

Tales from the Borderlands is definitely their best game!
I've also got -
Walking Dead - fun, but I stopped really caring once I figured out that anyone I managed to save was just going to die anyway. I'm fine with a ton of violence/death, but there has to be the illusion of the possibility for survival...
Wolf Among Us - own it, not played yet.
Game of Thrones - terrible. None of your choices have any effect whatsoever, and you can't seem to affect anything.
Minecraft - Not played the latest ep so far, but I have enjoyed all the others!
I haven't picked up Batman yet, but I will at some point.

"Choices" in TTGs are pretty much Bioware/ME-esque flavoring fluff, so as long as you recognize and expect nothing more than that, it's alright for what it is.

Even by TT standard with choices, GoT was a whole new level.

It's going to be a travesty of epic proportions if they never do another Tales From The Borderlands game.

Tales From the Borderlands. Love, love, love!!!!! The first episode of Batman was very fun. Didn't feel the wolf among us. I finished it, but all the characters were so unlikeable.

TWAU does suffer from the fact that you can easily tell TT changed their plans for who was the real killer (since someone guessed who it was and TT decided to change heir plans)Which can make a disconnect from the start of the series and end.

Do tell! The Crooked Man was just so.....underwhelming....for all I had heard about him. And Georgie as the killer didn't fit. I've never heard of this information, I'd love to know how it was originally going to be, maybe I would have liked the game more? To be honest, I thought Beast was the killer, and that would have been a pretty epic twist.

Cryer who was heavily theorized, also watch the trailer for episode 2, the atmosphere and alot of content is completely different. There's sadly some hardcore TT fanboys who will claim TT never changed their vision butt he disconnect between the first episode and the later episode is clear as day.

Is the Batman title any good? Heck yes. I tried the first episode, (i had never played a telltale game before,) and it caused me to buy the telltale game pack that was on sale for 60 percent off. (TWD, TWD season 2, The Wolf Among Us, Tales from the BOrderlands, and Game of Thrones.)

Favorite: I can't decide between TWAU or TFTB. The former for its style, the latter for its humour. I raged quit Game of Thrones after the first trauma. I'll finish it eventually but I'm not ready yet. And I haven't played Michonne yet either but I intend to. I don't know about the rest. I still have to check the Batman one. I'm not in a hurry to play their games. They don't really age that badly and the more you wait, the less chances you have of encountering the big bugs they're famous for.
