I mean the character is just a copy paste of the adept but with stealth grid. So now you can be invisiburu and run away and stuff. Much cool. But it's worse for killing things than combat cloak and it's a worse character for combos since the AA has annihilation field. Where's the synergy between stealth grid and lance/throw? Do you prime stuff with ammo powers and throw stealth grid boosted lances or what's the deal?
Someone enlighten me on how to make this character not a bore plz. Mine is sitting at a solid rank X level 1 currently. If someone can sell me a build that sounds fun I might start levelling it up but it's a big if.

I play her as a melee kit with shield powered Lance and throw to trigger Biotic Warrior. Slap on your favourite shotgun or shotgun substitute, and you're good to go.
I recently tried a respec, taking Throw up to rank 5 with the extended prime duration for BEs, and it's all over the place. The throw physics are unpredictable, and even if you manage to detonate a BE, it'll be on an isolated target.
I don't know what they were thinking.

It's amazing with a vanquisher obviously. Leave lance at one and take duration on throw and you can detonate explosions between headshots. If that's not fun I think you might be beyond help.

People trip over themselves to praise stealth grid but I've never been able to enjoy it. I much prefer tactical cloak. I also save my ammo powers for elemental techers so I don't have much use for the huntress which is a shame because she was top-3 for me in ME3.

Aka not vanquisher. Creating Biotic Combos between shots is mostly to deal with close range foes - it's merely a side show not the main source of damage on a character with SG. You do so much more damage with Stealth Grid + Sniper on her, if you are doing combos at the expense of more sniping I can't see that being as effective. It's a biotic sniper character in essence. The biotic combos are just an alternative to sticky grenades the way I see it. Leave the ammo based explosions to the Kineticist. Stealth Grid is great with the vanquisher if you use them like candy. It's a bit of a niche character and that's fine - it has it's uses. I play it in general when I feel like sniping but the rest of the team is biotic. If I wanted to focus on explosions I'd use the Asari Adept or Kineticist. You can get a couple of shots off with Stealth Grid. If half a bar or less is remaining I don't need extra Stealth Grid damage to finish them off with the Vanquisher.

It has a niche. Two detonators for detonating ammo primers, and stealth grid is OP in and of itself.

I use her when there's a couple of teammates with primers: Krogan Merc, Gladi, Assdept etc
Also much prefer Stealth Grid over Tac Cloak for utility (ie anything but killing), as it trivialises any objective. So if there's no infiltrators, or they look PUGy, I may take either Huntress (as noted above, if primers about) or the Angara Avenger.
But yes she's pretty boring in isolation.

Shes one of the characters that could really use a total redo. I hate how they just rerolled the lance/throw combo on her and threw a stealth grid into the mix to make her infiltrator... I can do great with her by just slapping a shotty or sniper there, it just feels boring.

Shield based lance is what I use on her. Granted she's not as strong as the other infiltrators in the game, but she's very effective at conserving consumables because of the barrier passive and cloak grid spam.

I use her when I play with my cousin's Krogan Mercenary. Prime with flamethrower, I boom. He tanks and staggers, I deeps and cloak us when necessary
I imagine running with a Turian Agent would work well, too. Less stagger, less tank, moar deepses.

I haven't played her with the new patch so some things may be different now.
I have her built as 1 Lance, 6 everything else. I've tried a few ways to play her, but for now I mainly use her as a sniper, with a pistol as a backup. Stealth grid for utility, objectives and moving around, and the occasional Throw (and to a lesser extent, Lance) to trigger Biotic warrior and/or stagger enemies for easy shots. Detonate combos if you happen to pair up with an adept or similar. And pretty much never die.
I don't lead the scoreboards with her, nor do I aim to. I wish her powers had more synergy, but she's very effective for me this way, and as the previous poster stated, a good team player. Some of my easiest gold runs have been with her. But if you want to become Death, the destroyer of worlds, maybe try a different kit.

Boring kit - no builds will change that. You max everything except lance or throw - your choice of the two. Even if her kit isn't exciting, she's still fairly effective though. Then again, just about everything is fairly effective now - and since gold is even easier now, stealth grid isn't as great as b4.

She makes no sense whatsoever. If you for some reason like Throw + Lance, you are better off with the Assdept or the Kineticist. If you like to be Stealthy, she is by far the least strong choice when it comes to that.
You can obviously overcome these arguments by giving her the best guns in game, yet her passives are from being that good either to make the most out of such guns. Moreover, you could give the same powerful guns to any other kit and most likely get better results.
Beyond having such weird combination of powers, she leaves almost no room for improvement either, since any buff to her may also buff the much stronger Assdept.

That is the pattern in the comments here, "X can do X better than the Huntress can." MEA Huntress just isn't the kill/spoltion machine that her ME3 version was. Putting your best weapon on the MEA Huntress only serves to enforce her own power set isn't enough to get the job done most times. Warp and Dark Channel were a great power choice given how versatile they were with the ME3 Huntress' cloak boost. She doesn't feel special anymore. Since 1.06 even the Kreganineer feels better and special in comparison and she was one of the weakest kits prior.
