...that EA/Bioware have fucked you with the latest patch, and you should reward them by not spending a single penny supporting their fucked up scheme. Look, I am a 64 year old lifetime gamer (yeah, I was there when video games first appeared in arcades back in the 70's, before many of your mothers were even born), running two successful businesses with more money than patience to play this RNG game. Up until yesterday, I can confirm that there was a guaranteed N7 UR drop in every 10 Expert packs. I had only 2 cards to go for a maxed manifest (P.A.W., which I have no interest in). So I was saving my credits for the next (if there fucking is one) DLC, or at least new character or weapon. Anyway, I started to read here that the guaranteed N7 UR drop in every 10 Expert packs seems to have been "fixed" with this new 1.07 patch. I can confirm that it, in fact, has been "fixed." I bought 12,000 Andromeda points just now to check this out. It took 10,000 points to get my next two P.A.W. cards (bear in mind that I had 1,000 points already, so I had 13,000 total), which maxed my manifest. Before this patch, I would have only needed to spend 4,000 or so or those Andromeda points, on Expert packs, to get those P.A.W. I needed. So, yeah, many, if not most, of you are not in my position and you now have a much more difficult time getting URs. That just sucks, and you should make EA and Bioware know you are pissed, by not supporting their fucked up system. I don't know if buying Premium packs makes up for this or not. My manifest is maxed, so I have no incentive to check. But, even if Premium packs give you a guaranteed N7 UR per 500K spent, you are still getting two times less consumables, so fuck them.

The only problem with your theory is it assumes that Premium packs are not improved. This guy had his URs dropping at a 20% per slot rate, with an acknowledged low sample size: So back to being like my girlfriend again. God dn it. I know it's a small sample size but I just had 4 UR's in 10 premium packs, they seem to have buff premiums now. BWE_ehlien said the following on Reddit: This implies that something changed about Premiums in addition to what you have shown concerning Expert packs. I don't mean to be unappreciative of your personal expenditure, but I think it's still too early to say this is purely a net loss.

I just did something similar (purchased the 12000 point option) and recorded it, video is uploading now, will be featured on penguinfetish channel at some point. Quick points are; Pity timer is still there, every 10th premium box I got an UR, even though I had already gotten an UR since last ten boxes. The 40 boxes gave me about 10 URs (didn't keep exact tally as I was busy clicking next)

Ah so there are a crap ton of GILFs around here being in the South and all. Google definitely has a different idea from myself when I search for it, so that is why i'm curious.

So you spent X amount of dollars buying Andromeda Points to confirm that we shouldn't be buying Andromeda Points because the "pity drops" are gone? Yeah, something like that. Unless the Premiums make up for it. Then just consider my investment on everyone's behalf a wasted effort. If Premiums give the same benefit (two N7 URs for every 500K, which I can no longer verify because my manifest is maded), then forget what I said. Just chalk it up to today was the first day I decided to celebrate summer is here (+93 F today) with a couple of Captain Morgan Private Stocks with coke, and that makes me more outspoken than I usually am.

(200 points each) Yes, this "experiment" was with Expert packs. 10,000 credits (or 200 Andromeda points), means I opened 50 Expert packs to get the last two N7 URs. Previously, I had reliably opened only 10 packs to get an N7 UR, so pre this latest patch, I would have only opened 20 packs to get those last two UR's.

It's not really an investment, although it's not something I would have done if I didn't see the posts about the change in UR drop rates. Just wanted to check if it was accurate or not., and report the result.

So you spent X amount of dollars buying Andromeda Points to confirm that we shouldn't be buying Andromeda Points because the "pity drops" are gone? Not exactly. If you enjoy the game and play it, you will accumulate credits. And, presumably, you will exchange those credits for packs. Perfectly normal. I was referring to spending cash, using the pre-patch "guarantee" of one N7 UR for every 10 Expert packs, which I can confirm was correct. My finding is that, for Expert Packs, that is no longer the case. Whether it works out better with Premium packs, I can't say. I have no way to verify it because my manifest is now maxed. If I did need a few more UR ranks, I'd be perfectly willing to check out the Premium pack drop rates, and purchase the need Andromeda Points. I have 3,000 left, which I will save for any new DLC characters/weapons, IF there are any forthcoming.

I did the same as you, with Premium packs, and the pity timer is there from what I saw. I got 10 URs out of 40 boxes total, and an UR every 10th Premium box on the dot.

I guess I've kind of been boycotting Bioware because I don't like them or their games. I suppose I could add RNG store outrages to the list, if you think it would help.

Sounds about right, damn shame nothing they bring to this game has made me want to continue playing it. My last 2 first games went like this
1: This one was a few days ago, I join mid match wave 3 Kett Gold, everything was going well for a little bit, stuttering and lag as usual, and I hard crash back to the Xbox dashboard...
2: Game went alright Random Random Gold, ended up being Outlaw, they didn't really feel any stronger than normal, got killed out of what should have been I-frames from Nova/Charge like 4 different times and my Melee stopped working at least 3 different times, got so frustrated after that one match I stopped playing right afterwards.
Basically my life story with this game, I play 1-3 matches, some BS happens, and I go f*** this and play something else.
