I love Rapheal Sbarge! (voice actor for Kaidan).  He is a super friendly guy.

Awww! Kaidan and Ashley fans deserved to have reconciliation for Horizon. I'll say this as others have said: Arrival was tailor made for an Ashley/Kaidan reunion. They needed it, especially after Lair of the Shadow Broker (I'm sorry, I'm still grumpy at Liara for not telling Ashley/Kaidan that Shepard had been brought back by Cerberus. She didn't need to say she handed Shepard to them, just that Shepard was alive)

That, I can only chalk up to, "The developers missed that unpleasant implication".
Kaidan and Ashley exist in a state of Shcroedinger's cat. Alive/Dead means they can't be used in other media because it violates people's canon. I don't know why they felt the need to push Liara as the poster girl of Mass Effect but they did and now we have a confused mess in her characterization. 
The plot where Cerberus recovers Shepard's body did not need Liara. It could have been very easily worked without her and would have actually eased a lot of resentment towards her.
As things are, the only in universe explanation I can think of is that Liara got so wrapped up with her vendetta against the Shadow Broker that she forgot to tell the other teammates.

Hmm, so many good moments come to mind... I had to wait till ME3 to actually romance him with my M!Shep, though... but I would probably say my favorite scene was when you meet him in Horizon (ME2).

It's a bitter sweet reunion:

Shep: "You're letting how you feel about their history get in the way of facts."

Alenko: "Maybe. Or maybe you feel like you owe Cerberus because they saved you. Maybe you're the one who's not thinking straight."

Favorite scene with Kaidan for me has to be the one when you meet up with him at the shuttle rental place in Citadel DLC. Love his Biotic scene and then that strut, yum!

Do you think we'll ever get another LI that is somewhat like Kaidan?

I like that scene too!  Even though I was hurt after seeing him on Horizon and even mad (briefly) he made some good points.  I was mostly mad because I couldn't tell him I still hated Cerberus but BioWare was forcing me to work with them, LOL. But his letter made me smile.

I like the shuttle car scene too, Chiantirose, I used a screenshot from that scene as my avatar on the BioWare forums for a while
