Just wondering. My very first playthrough I didn't talk to Leliana until Skyhold. Must've been blind or missed her somehow at Haven. Anyway, she said something about it not being too late to be friends.
I was thinking about doing a playthrough where I don't talk to Vivienne or maybe Sera until after defeating Corypheus or even until I start Trespasser. Wonder if there would be any snide comments

Wonder if there would be any snide comments I once forgot to talk to Sera in Haven. On finally arriving in Skyhold, she did say something about my finally coming to speak with her. Waiting until end game might cause problems because the dialogue is more limited. You might just get their single line and that's it. But is this just some experiment? Why would you recruit them and then never even speak to them? Even though I have my same small crew and don't bring everyone everywhere, I still talk to them occasionally.

I probably won't do it. But I do recruit everyone and just not take some of them out much if at all. Only time I take out Sera is for her side quest. Then I pass her off. First time I did it she had her temper tantrum.

I do sometimes forget to talk to Viv though once we get to Skyhold as she's kind of in an out of the way area that I don't go to too often. Whereas generally my favourite characters are generally in areas I'm often in so makes it easy to go speak to them if I need to. As Varricf's in the main hall and you're always passing him to go to the war room or whatever and Cassandra is right next to the Quartermaster so easy to find not to mention there's a fast travel point sitting right next to her as well. So she is quite easy to spot.

First run I went the majority of time at Skyhold not speaking to Cassandra because a bug made her invisible most of the times I went up that part of the castle. If a patch hadn't remedied the situation I would have missed a lot of important dialogue with her, not to mention the whole Seeker quest. I almost missed talking to Leliana at Haven for pretty much the same reason. She didn't seem to be in that tent at first and so I only became aware it was the place to find her by accident. Not talking to Leliana or Cassandra is potentially far more serious than not talking to Sera because of the whole implications for the Divine decision. I suppose you could say the same about Vivienne but it would seem to me you are far more likely to get her as Divine if you do talk to her. I ignored her much of my first run after Haven because my mage really didn't like her and so I wasn't even aware she was a potential candidate.
I must admit though that I don't see much point in not talking to the companion at all, unless it is accidental. If they really don't interest you, then simply don't recruit them. As most of the companion quests need to be completed before the Arbor Wilds and definitely before you take on Corypheus, I would imagine that not talking to them would result in either minimal dialogue in Trespasser or the same as if you had had a hostile relationship with them.

I've never had an invisible Cassandra but I've had two Cassandras in a lot of my games. I'll be talking to her while I watch her twin practicing her swordsmanship in the background (or whatever you call what she does).
