What I mean is if you give different opinions to different people and they'd call you out on it. For example, my inquisitor is a people pleaser. He'll tell Vivienne he believes the magi should be in circles. He'll tell DorIan that the idea of circles is foolish. Or Fiona that he supports her cause. The latter two are inconsistent with Viv's views and what he told her. There should've been a confrontation or something

My first PT I was all over the place. All three Divine candidates pled their case, and each time, I told them they'd make a great Divine. But the way they were selling themselves sounded so reasonable.

The latter two are inconsistent with Viv's views and what he told her. There should've been a confrontation or something Would take a rather large string of bad luck for that to happen, I think. It would require: 1. that people with opposing views are comparing notes on what the protag said to them. 2. that they believe each other, and person A doesn't think the person B is exaggerating the protag's support of B's position. 3. that they don't think the protag is agreeing with them for genuine reasons, but agreeing with person B for political reasons. People do this handwaving all the time, even if they've seen someone agree with viewpoint B right in front of their face. I am going to skillfully avoid mentioning any examples in the real world, but I imagine one or two immediately pop to mind. 4. that they actually mention the contradiction to the protag. A rather awkward thing to bring up. All that said, what I'd like to see is more use of [Lie] dialog options. That's the kind of thing that could lead to confrontations.

I actually came across a really nice instance of this in my play through with Blackwall during my chat with him while he was in prison during his personal quest. When I called him out on lying about his identity as a Gray Warden he pointed out it wasn't so different than what I do because I had confided in him that I don't believe in the Maker but all my other dialogue options related to the Inquisition in public reaffirmed that I believed I was a divinely sent Herald from Andraste. I was really impressed with this nice bit of dialogue customization, particularly because I doubt that sort of play through (pretending to be a believer but really not believing in Andrastisim) is one that many players opt to RP. That said, yes, I would definitely like to see more of these sorts of moments in the future. Having companions call you out on your inconsistent BS more often would also be a great way to disincentivize players from doing a companion pleasing play through just for approval farming.

Can we also have an option to call out our companions too when they're inconsistent?

I agree that the player character should get called out if they always tell people what they want to hear, but I'd see the best trigger for this happening as being when the player takes actions that don't fit their previous statements, rather than people comparing notes.

Haven't companions been doing this? It's the dreaded You Of All People/I Thought You Were Different conversation.

I do like the idea for being confronted for more inconsistencies and so on, but so long as it isn't really something massive, consequential to story or subplot or very clear-cut, I think it's one of those things that they'll at best will be only half-successful in implementing, considering the insane amount of choice and dialogue tracking AND additional dialogue or scenes that would have to be written (especially in a game with customizable character).
...Never mind that sometimes I pick certain dialogue option only because it's an approximation of what my character would say in what I imagine could be a longer discussion, fuller of context and nuance, rather than an exact statement they've made. But that may just be me.
Anyway - given the limit to how much dialogue can be put in the game, I suppose companions approving/disapproving would probably remain the main indicator of what characters would feel about either our actions or how they relate to actions/statements of the past.

Vivienne calls you out on it if your answers contradict each other during a conversation about the fate of mages.
She says "It is amusing to see all the turns your mind takes".

I wish I could call people out for their pompous, negative, cry-me-a-river comments ... especially Blackwell pontificating pap.
