As much as I love reading and getting to know new things, those codexes often pop up in really bad times (an enemy is walking around the edge or your companions started a conversation , right before you accidently click on a codex or something like that). And the problem is, when you store it for later, you'll never find it again, because you have no search function in the codex section of the journal and I don't get some of the categories at all (meaning, it happend to me, that I searched a codex about a person and didn't find it in the character section, but muuuuch later in the lore section for example) As for my confession: I love Vivienne - I know, it's an unpopular opinion around DA fans, but I just adore her to pieces I don't really have a big problem with codexes. I especially like those which shed light on whatever you're doing at the moment. Obviously, all the diary entries are important in Chateau d'Onterre. Too often, you may run into them in an order that doesn't make sense. Take the "Hard in Hightown" entries; you'll miss certain chapters, read others out of sequence, etc. I don't hate Viv, but she is an imposing character. All other NPCs who aren't enemies quickly fall in behind the Inky; not Viv, she almost immediately tries to tell you what to do! I respect her opinions, though, even if I disagree. I once accidently made her Divine with a comment about letting mages into the Chantry. (My preference is Leliana.) I always do her personal quests though I don't understand why you have to go to her loft to give her the Wyvern's heart if you take her on the Wyvern hunt. Yeah the thing with the wyvern heart is strange. She acts, as if she wasn't there (I took her with me this time) About the codexes: That's another reason, why I decide to read some of them later (like 'Hard in Hightown'): because they pop up in the wrong order and why I wish, you could have a search mode for codex titles to find them easier later on

I love Isabela. I always friend her, whether I romance her or not. But I've never given her the ship, because principles. So I was confused when I'd watch scenes on YouTube referencing her boat because who are all these Hawkes who're making deals with slavers?! I played an evil Hawke who let her have the ship. But the line voice acted is kinda like, "I won't interfere in your choices." Kind of reminds me of that line at the Fenris killing sister thing, you can say something like, "this is between you and him" or "this is none of my business". I liked the options with Hawke. You were allowed to make non decisions and leave people's personal fate up to them a lot. Ooh, I never knew about the line! That makes it a bit better, I suppose... I still don't think I can do it, though. I advised Fenris not to kill Varania, too, so maybe I'm just controlling.

Ferelden > Orlais *barks* I still maintain the same thing I did even before Inquisition came out. Advisors: We must do everything we possibly can to save Orlais! Inquisitor: Do we though? I mean... really?Advisors: Yes! The Elder One would cause the Empire to fall into chaos! Inquisitor: Ohdearwhatapitynevermind...Advisors: You would do nothing? Inquisitor: Not at all. I intend to sit back... and then I'll do nothing! Advisors: What could Orlais have done to earn such vitriol? Inquisitor: Have you seriously never met any Orlesians?

I'm for that actually but after a true shakeup, a really big kick in the ass for the bigwigs of Thedas. I feel that there isn't much turnover after the Inquisition ended. Other than minute waves of changes with the Divine and the Wardens, everything else remains the same. The hero of yesterday becomes the bogeyman of today because political / world leaders do not want a rival or their power undermined. They want everything to go back the way it was. The Corypheus crisis taught them nothing; they were all busy playing their own games instead of dealing with the problems erupting everywhere in their kingdoms. Just a foul wind that happens to blow in, I can imagine Celine saying that while fluttering her fan. Alistair would probably say it's nothing but a trumped up Blight spawn swooping in where he shouldn't. The elven revolution is coming. I cant wait. I cant wait to see Orlais burn. Everything they ever know comes crashing down with no hope of ever going back. Everything they've had burns in the flames. The sun is coming out and they will burn. Uhh...That's not creepy at all......
Seriously though you're preaching to the choir.

I love making Alistair have a baby with Morrigan and keep him a warden just to see their reunion at Skyhold, and then I kill him without remorse because Hawke is the best.
Made a female elf inquisitor and romanced Sera just to hate on Solas as a couple and punch the bastard.
My favorite part of playing as mage inquisitor is to tranquilize Livius. His despair is delicious.
I think that both male and female default faces of Hawke are some of the coolest in any game, and I actually feel that something is horribly wrong when I watch a "Let's play" and people customize them.

That made me laugh. Hmmm. May just happen with my planned Dwarf-mance of Sera. Although, certainly has more meaning from a dalish. Technically, Solas caused the fall of the Elven Race.

I used to love the Elves, and think they are uber cool, romantic and beautiful, but DA universe made me dislike them.
I think the DA:I Elves is an attempt to make something akin to Eastern MMO lolis and it really makes me cringe. By contrast, I have nothing against anime/FF look of the elves in DA2.
I really dislike female appearances in all DA games, save for female dwarves in Origins & Qunari in DA:I, and find F!Hawke voice incredibly unpleasant.
As a result of the above, I prefer playing males, and I really like M/M romances.
I applied modded appearances of every male companion before starting DA:I, because I thought they were awful looking.
I have not noticed till I saw someone mention it that DA2 reuses areas.
I think that DA:I is barely playable, the way it handles the story and areas, and I nearly ragequit or ragequit it every time it turns out I have to do something I don’t know what to get through to a locked part of an area.
I am ambivalent about most companions and advisors in DA:I and Origins. Awakening and DA2 are the DA parts where I really got strong emotional reactions towards the characters.
By contrast, DA2 is exactly the kind of a game I am looking for. Pretty, upbeat combat with a well-structured content, compact, easy to manage and with a lot of feels.
I would have preferred that the main character was not referred to as Hawke, and he would have been someone who fell in with the Hawke family while running for their lives, so the Hawke’s children would have been his close childhood friends, rather than siblings. But would still change their appearance to adjust to Hawke’s because they are the only ones with the “customizable” appearances and you can pick their ethnicity.
I loved Anders in both Awakening and DA2/Legacy and found his character personality change a great piece of character development.
I’ll take extreme delight in a plot that would allow me to kill Morrigan and Isabela.
I still don't know if I am capable of finishing Inquisition.

I confess that I...
...only wanted MEA to come out as fast as possible so we can get closer to the release of a new DA game. ...can't kill the golems in GoA and hope I can kill them through the console instead. ...actually never played GoA before and that I'm pretty surprised how hard this DLC is even on easy. And I don't like that. ...I'd much rather continue on to DA2 instead but I feel obligated to finish GoA and Witch Hunt before I do. ...wish that I could play my Inquisitor again some time in the future so I can get some more romance with Solas. ;_; ...place Solas as my nr 1 LI. Beating Alistair, Anders, Cullen, Kaidan and Zevran by a mile. ...don't care about other LI's aside from those mentioned above. ...worry for MEA's romance options. From those that are speculated to be LI's, I don't like -any- of them. This will be ME all over again, though ME at least had Kaidan. ...have pre-ordered MEA but I'm not too bothered about it (yet).

hmm DA confessions... I was hoping at the end of DAO to be able to help impact Denerim on a political level since cousland was so involved in the politics as queen. I'm glad they made up for the lack of intrigue in DAI. I really wish Alistair was less whiny in the fade. I understand he doesn't know whats going on but they 'heeeeeeey' when he leaves is really childish. I love his humor but it wasn't funny and it showed he was raised by dogs. I did the templar storyline in DAI once because I wanted to see if Cullen would join and end up in the fade. he didn't and I was sad. I wanted to see his torment and see more of his character growth though this setback of being in a place that was worse than the blood mages (if a demon had gotten to him, etc.). I was hoping that it would lead to him discussing the hopes of helping others that need help just like he did with his past/lyrium addiction with his inquisitor, but no...so I replayed it and went with the mages instead... I've tried replaying DAO since DAI to romance Alistair and I can't. I don't know if I can move on from Cullen. *dramatic sigh* I never use Solas, Cole or Vivienne. There, I said it.

The more I play Inquisition, the more I wish for the playersexula romances of the DA2 style to come back. I find it ironic that in a game where you can only play one race, there are no gates, but in the game where you can play four, there are racial gates. Anyways, I miss the playersexual romances a lot.

The racial/gender gates do force me to get outside of my preferred roles and try something new, but why do developers want to force? o_O for the less flexible, they'll just get a mod anyway.

I romanced Sera four times in a row because I have no self-control. I find it incredibly difficult to roleplay Aeducans, Couslands, and Trevelyans bc how do you even rich people?? I've never finished DA2 as anything other than a mage. Which is weird because I don't have the same hangup about the other games... it's just, in my head, Hawke is always a mage. Poor Bethany, she did nothing to deserve this. :sob:

In my current playthrough I've not taken Vivienne and Cole and will not do Jo's quest. We'll see how it goes. Would like more scenes with the Chargers. Have not played a male elf yet, if they had made Solas available it would have been good. Cassandra is still in the party mix the most after all the playthroughs. I've not done Vivienne's quest 2/4 PTs and find it hard to accept Jo's quest sometimes because it's very...rich people focused. Thinking about skipping Varric's quest though, and people seem to love him so much.

So they're different classes, or use different weapons, or I've gotta switch up their gender or sexuality, can't play an all-human run...

I confess that I... ...can't play DA2 and DAI as anything other than a mage because the other classes don't feel *special* enough to me. :heh: ...have only been able to play another class in DAO because I like the other Origins much better than the mage one. ...have never been able to finish a Dwarven playthrough because there's no Dwarf to pair them up with. I like to match my LI's races to the race that I am playing that particular playthrough. So there can potentially be babies. ...always give my Hawke a name starting with an A so the names of the Hawke children will be ABC. And in my head I start to sing; "ABC, easy as one, two, three." whenever I create a new Hawke. ...always do every companion-related quest, even if I don't like them. Otherwise the game feels unfinished to me.
