Why are these still in the game? Just to make us suffer? Every time I use one of these enemies can still feel their arms and legs attached. My one buddy isn't too good at the game and he used to love rocketing two dogs to get some points when he's behind us by 10,000 points. Now he kills one dog if he's lucky! This is truly a sad moment in the history of MEAMP.
I know this is a bit late to the game, but I've been busy nabbing the new stuff.

LOL I wasn't even aware that cobras are not doing much damage anymore cause I rarely used them anyway except for open mouth destroyers. Now I know at least why. Hence one of the gear modifiers must contain a missile capacity increase: +25! The least!

Hey, at least it's not collectors on gold on hazard FB glacier. Nuking spawns with the cobra was the only way to guarantee making it to extraction (at least with PUGs anyway). Good times!

I shot a krogan in the face from point blank range with one last night and he lost about half health.
I really have no clue at all how these things work at all anymore because the odd time I shoot a boss and at least get enough damage to justify using one. Most of the time I get almost zero damage. They are an awful waste now, and just when you actually need them sue to the changes in the objectives.

Another big loss is that Cobras don't whistle when you shoot them, so you can't celebrate an imminent extraction by shooting one into the air / distance. Which was one of my favorite things to do on ME3.

I was actually surprised that Cobra could one shot Observer in Gold now..
I wonder if they fixed Cobra to ignore shield gate for removing weakpoint bonus?

wow...that's all I got. It really is amazing how different the same game will be depending on whose hands it's in. ME3 was one of my fav games ever. I wish the real Bioware had gotten to make this.

In fairness Bioware did state they did not want Cobras to be "pocket nukes" in this game. So they have achieved their objective!

But missiles always were meant as a kind of last resort means, no one ever was suspicious to win the game only by cobras. It's simply not possible for the sheer number of enemies. Bosses alone are too numerous you could get along even if they were still prone for one shot missiles.
Nerfing cobras that way they just as good could be taken out completely. At least players wouldn't be lulled into a false sense of shelter.

Maybe all of that is done intentional.
(Putting on my conspiracy theory hat.) Are we the living crash test dummies of Bioware? Is all of that nothing less than a big experiment of how much challenge, issue and adverse conditions players are willing to take? Before roll out of Anthem in big scenario let's give it a little try with these acquiescent and ever-willing BSN multiplayer nerds. Stretching a little bit the boundaries... (Putting off my conspiracy theory hat.)
Whatever it is - it's definitely not the game anymore (with regards to MP) I bought three months ago. Personally I could have lived - apart from the bugs - with the set up / balance how it worked initially. And ever since I have to change / accommodate my play style in a cycle of a few weeks. It obviously is different but I couldn't tell you whether it really changed to the better or the worse. Just too many changes I can hardly tell anymore what was/would have been the best package.

The main problem with Cobra is that BW blindly tried to follow the format of ME3MP Cobra.
ME3MP had unlimited boss spawn + 10 waves... so one shot kill (almost) everything Cobra RPG X 6 was justified.
MEAMP has limited boss spawn + 7 waves.. so one shot kill 5 cobra would destroy game utterly.
...Only real option to bring back Cobra to its justice would be to limit Cobra carried by each player to 3 if not lower.
But.. since we spent our credits upgrading cobra capacity.. BW won`t touch this.
Ultimately BW`s solution for Cobra fix left Cobra utterly useless and pointless where it serves no real purpose when we need it most.

Blowing up shit is fun. If I were designing the game and the players were blowing up "too much" shit I'd be like, "No, they're NOT BLOWING UP ENOUGH!". Then compensate by adding more mooks and mid-tier enemies for them to blow up. Which is basically how I 'design games' when DMing (DungeonMastering). Yes I am a nerd. This is me:
