I like many of the changes IA makes, but in many spots, I prefer the vanilla armors. IA is a mod you extract to override. Logically, I would've thought removing IA from override would cause NPCs to go back to their default vanilla armors. Instead, I find the party camp liasons for the elves and Redcliffe humans are now naked. Is there any way to correct this short of restoring IA to override? Or would that even work?

There's no way to remove IA mid-game and not have naked NPCs in maps you've already entered, as DAO bakes NPC gear information into saves rather than treating it dynamically. (This is not an issue exclusive to IA, rather, it applies to any mod that alters the equipment of NPC characters.)
Reinstalling IA should work.

Oh well...I really need to thoroughly examine IA before I start a PT so I can install what I like and delete what I don't want before starting the PT. But to that, I really need to understand file types and which NPCs they impact.

There's a list of file types on the DA toolset wiki, though as an end-user you'll probably never have to deal with most of them.

Thanks. I've reinstalled IA and sadly find the nudity problem continues. It seems once an NPC makes a nude appearance, it stays that way. I may have to restart! Ugh!!!
I may end up restarting. Before I do, I will re-read the directions to IA and prune out things I don't like.
Speaking of the Toolset, any good instructional material for those interested in modding?
