If ME:A had gotten quality Quarian Ark DLC would you have forgiven EA/Bioware for the botched launch

Anyway, I guess 'yes'? Sorta? A quality 1 DLC and maybe some further better patching would have made me go meh about the whole thing still, but end with MEA at/around a 8/10 (instead of 7/10) imo, and just caring more about how they're going to make the series better with another title.

As it is, if lets say Anthem and maybe DA4 isn't what they hoped for and they try to bring ME back, I'll be figuratively crossing my arms with a skeptical look.

I think if Anthem fails, EA will close Bioware Edmonton and disband the entire studio.

I wasn't all that invested in the idea of a Quarian Ark DLC. I know they basically said it was coming but it felt more like pandering than necessarily a good idea. I think the mystery around the benefactor, Jien Garson, and the Ryder parents was a glaring omission from the series story. That stuff needed to be resolved although it should have ideally been in the main game.

Idk about letting it slide, but a Quarian DLC would've been really cool provided it was well handled.

Need? I guess that is no. Considering the game was a disaster I doubt the dlc would have been good anyway. Why would I forgive them for a botched launch when I will never forgive them for the abomination of a game that was Andromeda.

This question just continues the false notion that the bugs and animations were the only major issues with the game. I figure if people liked the game they would love DLC. People who didn't like the game probably wouldn't even buy the DLC, let alone give a pass on their issues with the game.

They would have to pull a 2x Quality of Blood and Wine DLC (TW3) to make me forgive... but since it will not happpend

No. Wouldn't have bought any DLC anyway since the reason I didn't like MEA had nothing to do with the bugs they patched.

The writing, open world and quest design was boring. Why would I want more of that?

One dlc would have made the game feel more complete and would serve as a good "hey we screwed up back there" message for the fanbase. there's nothing indicating the game's revenue would have dipped into the red with the expense of making just one smaller scale sp dlc.

I am a very easy going guy. A quality DLC would not be required to get back into my good graces. What is required is contrition and acknowledgement, so that I am confident it will not repeated in the future. To me, that is much more vaulable and re-assuring than a DLC.

I never forgave them for the ME3 ending.The ending lacked narrative coherence and introduced a whole bunch of new issues in the last 10 seconds of the game. And it was not peer reviewed or subject to the same internal scurtiny like all the other storylines. Yes I know some fanboys really loved it but what hurt most about it was all the vitriol directed at the fans and the complete lack of contrition from Bioware. With MEA and subsequent dropping of the ME universe, I have gone past angry to simply not caring anymore.

So moving forward I really am not interested in any of the BW projects because...well I realized its not the same company that brought me ME1 &2, DAO, or KOTOR among others. DA4, Anthem and what not do not really capture my attention right now. Thats why contrition and acknowledgement would be worth so much more to me than a single DLC.
