Popular girls? Most of them wore 3 inches of make up, some were friendly, some were enormously fake, so on and so forth.
In general however, there was no real trend between "success" in high school and success in "grown up" land. At least not in my high school.
Some of them are rolling in dough, others are throwing themselves at potential baby daddies, and some are just blue collar grinders.

There was no such thing as "popular girls" in my school.

I remember there were two girls that were very pretty and super popular and ''cool'' back in 8th grade. They were the first to have sex, a lot of boyfriends and partied like there was no tomorrow, plus they smoked like chimneys. (back when I was in school smoking was still considered cool) You know, the usual bullshit. I pretty much lost contact with all my old school members but recently I checked them out via Facebook (I was bored) and well, those two girls have become unattractive women (they have aged really fast, they look like 40 now) living the boring everyday life - office job, mediocre partner, maybe some holidays on the beach. Back in school everyone thought they would become actresses, famous models or marry super rich dudes and whatnot but that couldn't be any less true. The most funny part is the irony in it, I checked on the less attractive and less popular girls (and boys) and they turned out alright, all better than the popular ones. Then there is me. I like to think I have improved just like them, but I'm still an ugly loser.

What is the point of these questions? I've noticed these threads you've been making have been kind of, well, shit.
I'm only speaking for myself here, but please don't spam the forum with a host of threads based on whatever enters your head.

Steriotypical questions requires steriotypical answears fom a steriotypical topic such as the steriotypical cliche of Cool guys/gals vs Nerds/losers, Damn gringos and your steriotypical problems.
PS: does that even happend over there, like in those teenagers movies?

PS: does that even happend over there, like in those teenagers movies? They were a bit exaggerated. But only a little bit. Mostly they were right on the money. Save for the nerds some how getting one up on the cool kids. That rarely happened, and didn't stay that way for long.

PS: does that even happend over there, like in those teenagers movies? Stereotypes, stereotypes. I’m an immigrant, so of course my high school back in the homeland was nothing like that. I moved to one in the US and got into a program for high-performance students. We had a whole building just to ourselves and most of us interacted little with those outside. There were no popular kids, because as one teacher succinctly put it, “you’re all nerds.” All flavors of nerd, but still.

The ones that were popular in the 12-16 range, usually ended up getting pregnant before they turned 18 or around that time. And came across as rather bold more often than not. I was good friends with majority of them, so to me they weren't cold or that snobby towards me. I have no idea where they are now, but as said before many of them got pregnant rather early on, that tends to dampen one's ability to have a great career when you need to post pone higher levels of education.
The last ones I heard from, they weren't doing that great and had become single mothers for most part, jumping from one man to the next.

I didn't keep up with anyone from highschool.
But I was a shy girl with miserable home life that got picked on a couple times. And I think my life is unique and awesome now.

Planning to marry one, man? Wouldn't recommend it, most turn out vapid b****** if they were popular from early on. But they usually have no same "drive" in life, past school.

They were part of a coven that consumed the souls of less popular kids, or at least that's the theory.

Were they mean and snobby? Were they successful in life? Don't really care how any of them turned out. Popularity like any sort of power is a disease that will always lead to corruption. If they are to arrogant, "mean", "snobby" then they don't deserve whatever success that they have had - IF they have had. Put them in prison till they come to their senses or tie them to a nuke and detonate it for all I care.

Were they mean and snobby? Were they successful in life? anyone in my school that focused on popularity found themselves with nobody after school and so desperate to fill that void they were up the spout within a few months and stuck in a dead end job within a couple of years or as was the case with a few of them, died from overdoses. but every single one of them had a bad life.... as to their character all of them were different some were mean some were lovely the mean ones tended to also be the slags though /

When and where we grew up the notion was non-existent. My high school class was talented oddballs, a lot of them artists (we were “specialized” as architects and “performing arts” so it got a mix of kids who had defined interests and goals) and from what I got over bad Skype during our 20 years reunion most did okay, thankfully, both boys and girls. I am happy for them. We had a lot of fun together.
