I don't get why they don't create some kind of Amazon deposit box (also, UPS, FedEx, etc.) that they'll install at your digs (after you've paid them) and where they deposit all parcels/purchases. Sort of like recyclables. Why can't they just do that? But that way, they couldn't spy on you, record your conversations, and have free access to your home. |

If someone lives in a shady enough area that they don't trust delivered goods to be left outside their homes, how are you going to expect them to shell out $250 for new camera and lock for their package delivery guy? So essentially, the market for this service seems to be entirely restricted to "rich people who live in bad neighborhoods but are also incredibly trusting of strangers and corporations." This is a system I always thought to be really retarted. Here in the netherlands we are laughing our asses off at all the videos where people are apperantly stealing delivered goods left outside the house. Over here when the parcels are delivered and you aren't home the delivery guy will try to give it to the neighbours and then leaves a note in your mailbox that says where they delivered it. If the neighbours aren't home either, then the delivery guy will take the parcel with him and try again later or the next day. |

As I said earlier, I don't see why there can't be some kind of special-safe for Amazon/Ebay/UPS/FedEx goods that they can't install at each house and leave a paper/electronic receipt or invoice. |
