Kandros here with a new update. We are making inroads into our battle with the Kett. I sent one of our Human Sentinels to secure Firebase Vertigo. Our ammo supplies have been dwindled in recent days from our numerous confrontations with the Archon’s forces. Vertigo had a large cache of geothermal energy that we needed for manufacturing heat sinks. Our Sentinel would not waste anything she found for us, as she was equipped with a P.A.W. and Equalizer Siphon. Our scientists and engineers continue their hard work at bringing Siphon functionality to our best weapons, including the P.A.W. and Hurricane. They tell me all they need are a few more credits to complete their work. I don’t know what credits have to do with adding Siphon abilities to a gun, but who am I to argue with a scientist or engineer? Along the way, our Sentinel had to take out a Boss and disable Devices. When she returned, she told me that she was thinking of getting some additional training on Electric Barricade at the expense of Energy Drain. I think that’s a wise choice, as her Shield Feedback and Multicapacitor equipment were enough to keep her shields up online as much as possible. Not only did her mission on Vertigo provide us with ample ammo supplies for our APEX Strike Teams, it also provided valuable intel on how to fight on these towers around the planet Voeld (Habitat 6) Gameplay notes and build: bit.ly/2irUpTnTech Armor 6A Shield Feedback and the Multicapacitor were very handy during this match. I originally re-specced her with Reactive Armor and another equipment mod, but the time for her shields to come back online felt like an eternity. With Energy Drain’s recharge rate so slow, it didn’t matter that she got 30% more power restoration and defense. The 50% from Tech Armor 6A plus Multicapacitor’s 100% bonus meant her shields came back online in 2.8 seconds out of cover and 1.6 seconds in cover. As long as I could get out of line of sight from the Kett, this is much better than having Energy Drain, in my opinion. If I were to do a solo with the Sentinel again, I would re-spec ( bit.ly/2mAZflH) into Electric Barricade instead of Energy Drain and use it as a stunning and combo chokepoint on the map. This was my first solo on Vertigo, and I'm still learning the best way to kite and funnel enemies around the map for a less stressful run. Definitely don't want to go through the middle area (Hacks there are really hard). Newly buffed P.A.W. feels more powerful. I would have just armed that if I had a Siphon variant.

Salarian Infiltrator goes slow and steady with the Kishock against the Remnant on Firebase IcebreakerThe Salarian Infiltrator misses the humid and wet climate of his home planet of Sur'Kesh. Firebase Icebreaker was not what he was thinking about when he volunteered for Kandros' latest mission. He also wasn't very happy to see that the Remnant were guarding eight devices that had needed to disable. Slow and steady he went, cloaking, repositioning, and taking out each and every Remnant with his Kishock Harpoon Gun Siphon. Given his careful nature, he found himself in trouble in just a handful of times. Gameplay notes and build link: bit.ly/2zQwx36Whether it’s the enemy movement speed or aiming controls, sniping is more difficult in MEA than ME3. I used to love playing the Salarian Infiltrator with the Javelin on Firebase Dagger, and have been looking for a suitable replacement. The Kishock Harpoon Gun Siphon (or Concussive) is the closest sniper rifle that I could find. I originally tried this mission with the Black Widow X, but I found myself getting shredded whenever I popped out of cover to fire my three shots. Also, the reload time on the Black Widow seemed really long. I much preferred the cloak and one-shot ability of the Kishock. Having the Siphon variant meant that my health was almost always (or soon to be) full. 17 second duration cloak with a 7 second recharge time meant I could be in cloak for long periods of time during the match. This is good because the Icebreaker map is large.
