Hey! I recently found a pretty interesting website where you can get your gamer motivation profile - the main aspects which drive you while playing games. I am sure some of you know it already, but I think it could be very pleasing to see your own results in that matter. It can also recommend you the games you would want to play based on your profile! Anyway, here is mine: goo.gl/P1Y6qK

I love tests that tell me what I already know. I scored highest on fantasy and immersion. LOL at social.

goo.gl/7LPkm9My lowest area is Creativity, which sounds about right. I've never really enjoyed games like Minecraft, where it's just buildbuildbuild and imagining new things to create. Those games can be good and fun to play with other people's creations, but I'm just not good at creating things of my own with them.

I am not very social person (I am a social hermit IRL) or enjoy talking to some types of gamers, so that part is surprising to me. > 95% of my gaming time is Single Player games.

I don't think I could apply this to myself. As I'm such a moody unpredictable bastard my profile would be in a constant state of flux. I would have a fluid chaotic profile that would change it's motivation and focus from hour to hour. I probably have multiple profile disorder.

goo.gl/xn177uDon't know how I managed to emphasize creativity and achievement. Sure, I like to take my time and make decent-looking characters and do some roleplay, but I just don't have the patience for building things. And looking at the suggested games list, a lot of those I wouldn't ever touch.

Secondary motivations: Top three recommendations were Monster Hunter, Dark Souls, and Cuphead (all with a QF of >3). Although I haven't played Cuphead, the first two are definitely series that I enjoy. Seems decently accurate.

Your Gamer Motivation Profile : Spontaneous, Relaxed, Social, Deeply Immersed, and Practical This is a weird profile, so you are basically into unoriginal multiplayer action-ish games with high immersion but little creativity? But how can you be into action games if there is very little mastery involved? What kind of game would fit that description?

But how can you be into action games if there is very little mastery involved? What kind of game would fit that description? I would have given myself a higher mastery score, honestly. Either I'm more of a filthy casual than I thought or I misinterpreted something on the test. My ideal game is one that is multiplayer and has lots of action, but with a strong lore underlying it all. Blizzard games pretty much hit the nail on the head in that regard.

I suppose barely a few things are extremely important for me, and I thought more about masochistically difficult action or real time strategy games when I was answering the challenge questions. I don't usually play multiplayer games in practice, that social score is just in theory. Augh... now I can see why some people only play lame online or MMO games or difficult hack'n'slash games.

I forgot my secondary profile, so here you go: Its true, I have very high standards when it comes to computer games and there is only a handful of games that I really like. But when I like a game I LIKE it.

Ah, forgot to read my traits. Thankfully the browser was not closed. So I have them here: Analytical, Driven, Deeply Immersed, and Expressivewith two of my high scores. Strategy (87%): Gamers who score high on this component enjoy games that require careful decision-making and planning. They like to think through their options and likely outcomes. These may be decisions related to balancing resources and competing goals, managing foreign diplomacy, or finding optimal long-term strategies. They tend to enjoy both the tactical combat in games like XCOM or Fire Emblem, as well as seeing their carefully-devised plans come to fruition in games like Civilization, Cities: Skylines, or Europa Universalis. Story (71%): Gamers who score high on Story want games with elaborate campaign storylines and a cast of multidimensional characters with interesting back-stories and personalities. They take the time to delve into the back-stories of characters in games like Dragon Age and Mass Effect, and enjoy the elaborate and thoughtful narratives in games like The Last of Us and BioShock. Gamers who score low on Story tend to find dialogue and quest descriptions to be distracting and skip through them if possible. Everybody should dance now I guess. OK?
