Beyond that jacket crying because of the monstrous warcrime they did to it... This is the company that's literally trying to lock MODS behind a paywall, guys. WHILE making some dough off to the side that will never make it to the mod developer. Pretty sure we got Patreon and Donate buttons on the Nexus mods for that precise reason. The modders get 85% of the proceeds from the Mod Shop, more importantly, Bethesda still offers free mod alternatives on consoles. Stop crying about the damn Mod Shop. yes it sucks, but it literally contains nothing useful, and is not robbing anyone but fools of money. So sick of people crying about the mod shop. The only noteworthy titles release this year that fall into this category were Bethesda titles. Wolfenstein 2, Dishonored 2, Evil Within 2, Pray etc. These are under performing not because these games are bad, because they aren't all of these games reviewed very positively, with Evil Within 2 being a bit less positive, and it's not because they aren't popular. These games are under performing because Review outlets are not allowed to talk about them AT ALL due to Bethesda's review policies, therefor no pre release hype and press can really be generated because reviewers cannot discuses the merits of the games. Never mind the fact these games were released to compete directly with Mario and Zelda, along with other marquee franchises that have lots of momentum.

i know it's unpopular here but bleh, right now the only company worth something is CDRP, so we have to enjoy it while it may last, because in the end, even the best ones can fall or corrupt.

I love how you mentioned single player games which happen to also be non linear and first party (which makes the economics a lot easiar). Which is actually in line with what EA said about the direction single player games are going.
