Comparing DS to HZD. Tsk, tsk. This forum rebuttals itself . The Souls series sucks. That is all. Your gaming tastes suck. Your movie tastes suck. Your cookies suck. And I hope that is all. [Unless your humor array is off in detecting sarcasm too]

I really enjoyed the First Law Trilogy, however it didn't seem complete, despite that it still was great. But the best novel I've read this year was Shogun by pure miles. Shogun by James Clavell? Amazing book. Also great miniseries. That's the Japan I admire /notweeb Yeah, it had the perfect mix between fish out of water humour and brutal politics. (Still sad Fujiko didn't change her mind about becoming an hero)
I don't wan't to watch the show tbh, because the book was pure class, one of the best things I've ever read, so I doubt it could live up to it.

It's not really 'recent' (ended in 2008), but I would go with Avatar: The Last Airbender. The series, that is, not the movie adaptation. The series is sublime, but there is no movie. Some nutcase with a camera tried to make a martial arts movie but he was struck by lightning before he could finish. It doesn't exist.

Yep. Ashes of the Singularity is definitely my favorite new RTS: Finally a very challenging RTS! Most other RTS's felt like a repetitious chore. I like the versatility I can take with this one:
