Finally! The Human Kineticist is my favorite character in Mass Effect Andromeda Multiplayer. She was one of the last Ultra Rare characters that I unlocked, and I remember how happy I was when her card dropped. She’s an absolute Biotic Goddess on Gold, but many people think that she’s a liability on Platinum. Having just finished this Platinum Solo with her, I think she’s more than capable on Platinum. The key is managing her Biotic Ascension mode, which on Platinum is less about power spamming and more about survivability and having powers available on demand.

Gameplay notes and build: goo.gl/q4ZYGs
On Platinum, Biotic Ascension is best used for damage reduction and on-demand casting of powers. With 6B Efficient Ascension, the Kineticist gets 130 DR on top of her 100 DR she gets while evading. 230 DR is huge when you are repositioning or fleeing from enemy fire. Her dash also covers 9 meters, far greater than characters like the Krogan Engineer, whose evade is only 6 meters. In short, always be evading with the Kineticist.
Because casting powers while ascended drains your shields, you have to be extra mindful of your current shield state. Use them on demand but don’t spam unless you’re behind cover. I equipped the Multicapacitor gear so that my shields began recharging after 3 seconds out of cover and 1.7 seconds in cover. Though I was in and out of ascension mode throughout the match, it was relatively easy to regain since I had all the enemies to myself.
A case could be made for Barrier 6A Active Barrier instead of 6B Saving Barrier. Pota Pota in his fast-paced and exciting Human Kineticist Platinum Solo against the Remnant used Active Barrier. I do know that there were several times when Saving Barrier kicked in and saved me from getting downed. On Gold, I usually run with Active Barrier, but I wanted that shield restore when I found myself in a tough situation.
Elemental ammo was vital for this Platinum run, and I used Incendiary ammo instead of my usual Disruptor ammo. The Kineticist doesn’t have any anti-armor powers like Incinerate, Cryo Beam, or Flak Cannon, so the Incendiary ammo was key for setting things on fire and priming for fire explosions. On Kett Platinum, there still are enough enemies that have health which her powers could affect, such as Wraiths, Destined, Anointed, and Observers.
Again, I brought the Rozerad Siphon, but I also used quite a bit the P.A.W. Concussive. Though it didn’t do as much damage as the Rozerad, it was more accurate at distance and primed quickly. And the weak point explosion was a nice bonus when enemies were all bunched up. I wouldn’t mind having a P.A.W. Concussive X (nor that elusive P.A.W. Siphon I which I’m still missing from my collection).
Objectives
Prior to this successful run, I had several matches end with an impossible Hack or Upload on Wave 6. In another match, I managed to pull off a Wave 2 Hack, but I didn’t have enough consumables to handle the subsequent Boss on Wave 4. In this match, I also got the Boss objective on Wave 4, and it was tough! I used all of my Cobra RPGs, four of my First Aid Packs and two of my Revive Packs. Incendiary DOT claimed the Behemoth with just 5 seconds left on the timer! When Wave 6 rolled along, I was fortunate to get Devices, and the rest of the match went by relatively smoothly.
Please enjoy!
