Wow, I've been out of the loop for a bit (been playing outward, great RPG go try it!) and come back to an angry rant from AJ. I still can't believe, even after everything, there are still people who would defend this game. The sunken cost fallacy is real on this forum. I know its called angry joe, and a angry rant, but he actually sounds pissed in this one.

I doubt EA will allow BioWare to restart the game from scratch; especially with DA4 in the works. BioWare's best bet, from the way I see it, would be to up the drop rate (I'm talking "Fuck it, let them have it everything" type of drops) and have some sparse fixes here and there. Afterwards, tell everyone that all future content won't be added in until July/August, and get a PTR going for the next 4-5 months. Whatever environment they're working in to test the game just isn't working, and it leads to patches sometimes doing more harm than good; especially with this more recent one. Players will be furious, people will leave, the game will be crucified, and their reputation will sink further. However, this would probably be the only way they could tangibly stabilize the game; and figure out what's going on under the hood. Until then, it'll continue to be futile for them to continue releasing new content. It would probably end up landing buggy, and if the loot/scaling system isn't figured out, it would continue to be unrewarding. Side note: Frostbite has proven time and time again that it just isn't a good engine for open-world, RPG's; let alone when its network based. Dragon Age: Inquisition Multiplayer had a good number of bugs during its time, and Andromeda even more so (freakin' Fiend glitch). Anthem being online-only is proving that it's an absolute shit-show when it comes to bugs/features not working. This. Repeat after me - it is not called Frostbite, it is called Frostshite. Total Shite-show; Shite for DAIMP, Shite for MEAMP, now Shite for Anthem. After DAIMP rolled out with the first Frostshite Shite-show (remember no keys?, one of just many..), Biower was given a pass "because of inexperience with the new engine". Blower was quoted as "the new engine is a Ferrari in comparison", wait till we git gud. So, Biower, you gud now?

I see that Division 2 is getting a big content update less than a month after release. Let's go back and hear from Anthem...oh, they still hope to be able to deliver no sooner than May. Is Anthem some sort of publicity stunt for The Division 2? Because I must say it's working. I wasn't even interested in TD2 and now I am more tempted to buy it with each passing day.

I still can't believe, even after everything, there are still people who would defend this game. The sunken cost fallacy is real on this forum. That was... ranty. I have to disagree with his going off on the vinyl in the store though - those can change the look of every armor set you have on every javelin type, so I think it is quite possible that a good one would cost as much as a single armor set. The real issue there is that there is no proper preview for how the vinyl looks before you buy it.

It should cost no way near a new armor Hell It should not cost anything at all

Are we talking about the one they were trying to sell for 61K in game currency, or $8.50? If so, I don't see how that one can be defended.

It's amazing to me that people can accept the kind of stuff they did with that vinyl piece.
I saw the same livestreams that Angry Joe saw, with a 'Plethora' or armor as he said. Which means, they stripped this stuff out the game, and are now selling it back to players at cost. Then they mark it up to a ridiculous cost in game currency so that they have an out to say "well it's obtainable in game", knowing damn well someone is going to say $8.50 is not a lot to pay considering how long it would take me to earn this much money in game.
They made money hard to obtain for this very reason. Rewards aren't proportionate to the work required, not close. They made crafting give crap results because they know you can't obtain mats at the rate you craft so you have to buy them with real money. You need five embers to make something all game, and then all of a sudden it scales to 25 embers for a masterwork item.
Sadly, I'm sure some people actually bought this vinyl at this ridiculous cost as well as other things. They're just hurting the community as a whole because buying this stuff just encourages this type of behavior in the future. We'll get a Dragon Age game with 3 armor sets in game and 20 in the shop to buy.
