This solo featured a number of firsts. It was my first Platinum solo where I (1) fought against the Remnant, (2) played on Firebase Paradox, (3) used rare only weapons (Charger Siphon and Equalizer Siphon), and (4) didn’t get downed once.in Objectives: Devices / Devices / Devices Gameplay notes and build link: goo.gl/vRr6Ms- Throw: 4B 5A 6B
- Stealth Grid: 4A 5A 6A
- Lance: 1 point
- Offensive Biotics: 4A 5B 6B
- Barrier: 4A 5A 6B
- Charger Siphon X
- Equalizer Siphon X
- Expert Package
- Pistol Rail Amp III
- Disruptor Ammo III
This was my first Platinum Solo against the Remnant, and I did it on Paradox because I think it’s the easiest map against this faction for a cloak character. Waves 1 and 5 featured Adhis/Wraiths, Saboteurs, and Observers. Wave 5 has a Progenitor, but it frequently gets stuck on spawn. As long as you don’t go near it, the Progenitor will stay put. This allowed me to hang out in the Paradox “Cave of Doom” and have an easy time clearing those two waves. The dogs will rush in, but the Saboteurs hang outside of the cave most of the time. An Observer will occasionally try to swoop in, but they are usually content hovering above the cave, where they can’t target you. Waves 2, 3, 4, and 6 are of course more challenging, but on-demand cloak makes them very manageable. On Wave 3, I focused on the Sharpshooters, as they were easier to handle than the armored Berserkers, Nullifiers, and Destroyers. In this run, I eschewed the Ultra Rare weapons I typically use in favor of Rare weapons. The Charger Siphon is clearly no match for the Rozerad, Hurricane, or Silhesh, but it’s no slouch either. It primes well, has a big clip, and does decent damage. If you don’t have one of those Ultra Rare pistol variants, the Charger Siphon can function as a adequate replacement. My backup was the Equalizer Siphon, which I used in the cave waves or to take out Destroyers at the end of the Waves. I could have brought a Scorpion or Hornet for ranged engagements, but that non-decision didn’t hurt too much. Objectives were, like my Angara Avenger run, triple Devices. For a Stealth Grid character, that made for stress-free Waves 2, 4, and 6. I found having just four Stealth Grid charges was enough for me. Granted if I had Hack or Upload, I would have been in trouble with just four. I’ve found that, even with stealth, completing a successful Hack/Upload is very difficult in a Platinum Solo. I am surprised that I didn’t get downed once during this match. Usually I am good for at least one stupid move that causes me to get blown away by a Hydra rocket barrage, a Destroyer cannon, a Saboteur’s Ushior, or an Observer Beam, I’ll take it though!

Amazing! I really like the Huntress, and you have got her down pat. You couldn't ask for a better draw than 3X Devices. The Charger Siphon X has been my fav weapon to apply Disruptor ammo with the Huntress, until my recent acquisition of the Hurricane Siphon. You have to be patient with the Charger; I usually go with Receiver mod so that bullets get the elemental on multiple enemies and through cover. I was surprised you didn't use Ambush Grid and take a big shottie along to one shot adhis, but the pistols worked great, and Evasive Grid gives mobility. The Expert Package works great for this setup, although I usually run with Structural Ergonomics.
Chapeaux, monsieur!

And, since I had the Expert Package and Pistol Rail Amp equipped (for an extra 45% damage), I felt like I needed to bring a pistol as my secondary. Maybe I should have went with dual Chargers, one of which could have had the receiver mod and pistol targeting system for extra accuracy.

I like the Charger Siphon X with the Receiver mod and the Pistol Targeting System; I like to use the Targeting Vi booster and Disruptor ammo to get the stun effect with the possible headshot. If you don't have the Hurricane Siphon, this is a great weapon to apply elemental effects and do damage at the same time. Having 2 of them means plenty of ammo...

You (and snowleopard) have inspired me to give her another chance. She is one of my least favourite characters, but I do acknowledge that with Disruptor Ammo, she isn't useless (still not high on my list of preferences though). She doesn't really bring anything to the equation, without the ammo, she falls flat once the protected enemies show up, and I do not like Stealth in Andromeda.

The Charger was my main weapon when I started playing this game. Definitely the best Common weapon and the Rare S version is Platinum viable. Pota Pota on PC did a Plat solo using the Guardian and the Avenger Siphon.
I think a Katana, Predator, or viper solo would be very painful and take a long time.

I got inspired and took her for a spin today. First I was petrified, but then I got hold of her and spinned her good even on platinum. I may still have to check the respec for movement, to be more of a support char and revive team mates than ambush and shoot. Though ambush worked great on gold with roze+hurricane siphon.

I think Charger Siphon is better than Hurricane Siphon on smaller targets, Hurricane just shoots so randomly all over the target, on bigger targets Hurricane wins..
