Kind of off-topic, but I really hate how the term "Social Justice Warrior" pretty much turned into this term meant to demonize people who request that mainstream media have more representation for underrepresented minorities or groups. Don't get me wrong, I realize there are a lot of assholes who use a fight for better representation as an excuse to bully people and that they are unfortunately vocal minority, but at the same time, it's almost hypocritical for the people claiming to fight against SJW's to be equally as bullying and awful, becoming the enemy they SAY they're fighting against. Equally as off-topic, this is what irks me when I hear people accuse franchises like Star Trek and Doctor Who of suddenly becoming SJW in recent years... when those franchises have always features protagonists that have championed those causes and dealt with those types of issues.
(Don't get me started on how people can't seem to fathom why Superman would care about the rights and protection of illegal aliens... despite that label being quite literal when you factor in his extraterrestrial origins?)
It's pretty much become a nonsense term that doesn't mean anything anymore. I treat it the same way as Godwin's Law, the moment someone says something is SJW, I immediately tune out because they've pretty much lost any credibility I was willing to give them for whatever point they were trying to make.

On another website, I got called a SJW simply because I didn’t support the main character mass murdering innocent civilians to achieve their goal in that mission so yeah I agree it’s just become a term to insult and diminish other opinions.

Am I the only one who really wants the consequences of the Blip to be explored? To have half of humanity wiped out and then brought back five years later is a fascinating premise and I have the horrible feeling that the MCU is going to completely ignore it going forward.

If only the MCU was a TV show...what is especially telling about this too is that the MCU is 'moving on' to a new storyline/ threat in the future so it is unlikely it will get much exploration in the movies anyways.

Here's to hoping that Agents of Shield might do something with it in S7. According to the producers, they reason they chose not to address the Snap in S6 was because they didn't know how Endgame was going to resolve that plotline.

And timeline-wise, Agents of Shield is set only one year after Infinity War, so Endgame hasn't even happened yet on the show.

I hope Black Widow movie will be set in post-snap world, so we can see what kind of collapse world faced (and who tried to seize power in the new world, introducing some new characters for phase 4). Placing it between Civil and Infinity War (which is possibility, given that rogue Avengers were still active, but in covert) or even before would be wasted opportunity in my opinion.

To be fair, it would also be very difficult to write, so I would forgive Marvel Studios for not wanting to go down that rabbit hole yet. But considering that the Blip is a hugely significant event that is totally changing what's next for the MCU, I would expect that the Blip be referenced and some of the concepts explored.

That and considering Season 5 dealt with the MCU's version of time travel, it's possible they may have ended up on an alternate timeline. I know, I know. But the rules of time travel in the MCU is pretty solid and easy to remember. You change something in the past, that change doesn't affect your present, rather it creates an alternate timeline in the Multiverse. In Agents of SHIELD, the big event that changed the future (stopping Graviton from destroying the Earth) technically happened in the present, so the current timeline that the Agents are in is an alternate timeline where that event never happened. Whether it's the same reality as the MCU movies or completely different remains to be seen.

I confess there is an aspect of Endgame that causes a bit more Fridge Logic (beyond what's already been talked about):
In Infinity War we saw Doctor Strange and Iron Man each fight Thanos one-on-one. They lost, but put up a hell of a fight (Tony actually managing to draw blood), while Thanos had four infinity Stones and was throwing MOONS at them!
Later in Wakanda, Thor nearly one-shots Thanos who had a completed Infinity Gauntlet AND tried (and failed) to attack him with it.
Yet in Endgame:
Thor (with Stormbreaker), Iron Man (in an even more advanced suit), AND a Mjolnir-empowered Captain America working in concert get trashed by a Thanos who appeared to be armed only with a propeller from the Thanoscopter rather than even a single Infinity Stone...

Just saw Spiderman: Far From Home. I went in expecting mediocrity and boy was I pleasantly surprised. Easily in my top 3 for the MCU. It had some good character development for a teenage Peter Parker, and the humor was great. I have heard MANY varied reviews. Generally this isn't a good thing

I guess its the subjectivity of 'art' coming into play.
I don't think any of them have been "bad". Even Hulk or the Dark World had enough moments that I don't regret the one time I watched them.
Endgame - or Fan Service Pay-off: The Movie - was great, in my view, but it barely qualifies as a movie because it doesn't have a beginning. Only a middle and an end. Similarly, Infinity War only has a beginning and a middle (although it works better in IW than in Endgame).
In case it was unclear, I didn't dislike Far From Home. I enjoyed it. But it is likely a 'one and done' viewing. Whereas I've watching Homecoming several times. I've watched IW 7 or 8 times. I'll probably watch Endgame a similar number.
The problem from a movie purists point of view with the Avengers movies (and Civil War to a lesser extent) is that there is some 'required viewing' with all of them, which means they don't really stand on their own merits like the individual hero films do. That doesn't mean they aren't entertaining, of course, just that their main selling point is a collection of 'moments'. Endgame, in particular, fits this description.

Similarly, Infinity War only has a beginning and a middle (although it works better in IW than in Endgame). I beg to differ. Infinity War had a magnificent ending. The defenders of ignorance finally got their comeuppance, realizing that their tricks and arrogance and quirky humor could do nothing against a man determined to force the world to change for the better with every iota of strength and willpower he had. At the end of the movie, the assholes who had tried to freeze the world into a stasis of self-delusion heedless of its miserable coming disaster were left in ruins, while people everywhere were given a future of plenty and prosperity after an understandable period of grief for the cost that had to be paid. Endgame was just the fanfiction apology letter the writers had to send because they knew people don't have the humility or strength of character to appreciate a tale that so succinctly illustrates their own folly, much less their rescue from it. We all know the actual story of the MCU ended in 2018. Hail Thanos. Seriously though, Infinity War didn't just "work better", it worked. Great movie that we'll be watching for the rest of our lives. Endgame was thoroughly fanservice-y, true, but well-crafted for all that. Not a great movie, but certainly at least a good one.

Just stumbled on this:
Love it when you can read into the mechanics and subtexts of a given piece of fiction, and doing so enhances the work rather than taking away from it. To me, that's what distinguishes real artistic stories from the... empty calories, so to speak.
Also love it when people are open to doing so instead of just trying to rip something apart in order to feel or seem superior to it. That's definitely not always me.

Off topic but wtf was Disney thinking. Aslan from the CoN was more expressive than this.

That's the big issue with photorealism, that the expressive nature you could get from cartoon drawings will be gone. Personally, I'm still interested to see how the songs and story works in a new photorealistic look. As with the whole Aslan thing, from what I remember, Aslan animation wise wasn't too expressive either. It was mainly a combination of Liam Neeson's voice acting and the camera work that made him look more expressive.
