If everything there is true, their idea did work, because I wasn't going to play anymore and now I might buy. Just have to know if it's like in Syndicate where you have to play some missions with one obligatory sibling, but that seems unlikely.

So far, I am very positively surprised by the E3. So many new and interesting things. "Shadows Die Twice" looks really interesting. Overall Microsoft's press conference was a good watch. Cyberpunk trailer was awesome but I am hoping we get a few more actual infos in the next few days. The Prey 2 gameplay didn't convince me fully but not too bad either. A new Doom is always a nice addition. But the Starfield confirmation is my personal highlight so far, really didn't think this was still even being mentioned. Only EA's thing was a disappointment, nothing really exciting there IMO. All in all, quite a lot of good stuff so far. if it goes on like this, this might be the best E3 in quite a few years.

Just have to know if it's like in Syndicate where you have to play some missions with one obligatory sibling, but that seems unlikely. Ubisoft scooping Bioware, Bioware scooping Bungie. What a world. BRB PREORDERING ASS CREED (enjoy the jokes 'anti-SJWs'...). But really, I'm getting this, sometime. EDIT: ugh the male characters so hot

Even with that MASSIVE PvP ambush bullshit, Fallout 76 looks a lot more fun than Anthem. *sigh* Definitely buying Fallout 76 if there are private servers so my boyfriend and I can build ourselves an apocalyptic home and get a dog. Loot tin cans together... Awww, this is going to be SO romantic! No seriously, private servers for ambitious base building with friends sounds AMAZING. No idea why they had to go and try to ruin the experience with PvP. We all know how this going to play out: 80% of the random assholes on the servers are going to try and destroy your base every minute of every day. How is that any fun? Totally beats the purpose of base building if PLAYERS can destroy them WITH NUKES. I thought it was going to be strictly PvE, about rebuilding the wasteland TOGETHER. All vault dwellers trying to get by... This PvP nonsense was a bad BAD move. All over the internet people are saying the same thing: private servers or no buy. I second that. They really had me drooling until the PvP part... If private servers are possible, I MIGHT pick up Fallout 76, since I know some people in RL who are big on Fallout and loved the settlement building mechanics. So if there's like an actual storyline and questing to do, I may join them and bring quest rewards to their base or something.

Preview of my opinions of SquareEnix:
Not much new to me, and even the new wasn't too exciting. I like PlatinumGames but less for personal appeal, and more for general quality in the genre. Anything I really liked, was already revealed (Octopath, KH3?, maybe DQ11 even though series isn't my fav). The Quiet Man is, uh, something, but I don't know what it is.
Lets see if Sony has more.
In Ubisoft and just squeeing over Assassin's Creed for the first time ever. Its not at the point in the presentation yet - I'm just reading that one dialogue/romance leak and its making my day.

That doesn't make much sense considering the animus is a memory simulator, not a roleplaying console.

Unless dragged in by others, I'm not touching Fallout 76 until I'm at least complete Fallout 4, and probably done Fallout 3 + NV. Really putting off that series. But I'm not *against* 76. It is transparently a MP/feature-testing/continuous-monetizing ground, before even starting to make a Fallout 5, but I don't think it takes the PLACE of a Fallout 5 (next gen). I just hope it still has legit questing. I can sacrifice having so many (expensive) NPCs, in one, this, case as long as there's still a great world to explore and still enough of a solo story fun to experience.

Wasn't the new animus from AC:Origins supposed to actually interact with the 4th dimension and be able to change events instead of just witnessing them?

Just as any direction we move in the open world, is the direction in the memory. Either that or some story addition/twist to explain. Okay, that might be interesting if it's done like Alpha Protocol, where your character is being interrogated about his activities, which are shown in flashback, and the interrogation ends up reflecting your choices (and how you feel about how they turned out)
But I haven't touched the AC series since the second one, and never even finished that.

That doesn't make much sense considering the animus is a memory simulator, not a roleplaying console. Well, no, the animus is more the annoying, nonsensical framing device that insists on pulling you out of the game you actually want to play I remember when I used to play AC I cried bitter tears every time I had reason to be reminded of its existence.

I am ~80% sure that was said during the game when Bayek interacted with some of the first people tech.

Wasn't the new animus from AC:Origins supposed to actually interact with the 4th dimension and be able to change events instead of just witnessing them? Not quite, if I didn't massively misunderstand something in the game, Layla's Animus was just special in that it allowed you to experience memories from different DNA samples.
The whole thing about manipulating time was hinted at in the messages from the First Civilization that you can find under the tombs. It wasn't quite clear (at least to me) how exactly this form of time manipulation would work but the messages basically suggested that we had the capability and just didn't realize it (or how to use it). I do also think they might very well elaborate on that if dialogue options and decisions now play a part but it'll be interesting to see how exactly they explain it in the lore.
