The decision to switch to first person perspective totally killed my interest in CP77 so Spider-Man, The Last of Us 2, Resident Evil 2 and Ghost of Tsushima are the games I'm most looking forward to checking out.

I've actually read great things about Cyberpunk 2077. I think the problem is that for many, they were expecting that CDPR would stick to doing third-person games and so, naturally, they (and the player) would be in their comfort zone. But CDPR has always experimented. And frankly, I want to see something replace Deus Ex now that Deux Ex is on hiatus.

Aye, I'm just not able to play games presented in the first person without falling ill. Sucks for people like me, but what can you do? Honestly, with Bioware currently developing an online looter shooter and CDPR all but preventing me from checking out CP77, I'm left to look elsewhere for a little gaming goodness.

Are you looking for isometric RPGs? Pillars 1 and 2 are pretty good. Tyranny was also good, I hear. And then there's Pathfinder: Kingmaker, which is coming out this year, and Wasteland 3, which is coming out next year.

Huge fan of the Cthulhu mythos. I'll be sure to look out for this one.

'CRPG's continuing to happen frequently enough, finally has me doing a serious (though story-focused; Normal difficulty) playthrough of Baldur's Gate. If I like it, I'll move to BG2, Beamdog's SOD, and maybe trying NWN. And such, through games like Planescape: Torment. Then eventually, someday, I'll feel confident in checking out the 2010s genre titles.

I wonder what kind of a game this will be. RPG/survival horror.

Also: Divinity: Original Sin 1 and 2 Any of the Shadowrun Returns games (especially Dragonfall) Torment: Tides of Numenera though it's kind of an odd duck. Age of Decadence And while not strictly isometric, The Banner Saga 1 and 2 (3 is due out this summer)

Age of Decadence And while not strictly isometric, The Banner Saga 1 and 2 (3 is due out this summer) Its sad that I have almost all of those (Shadowrun campaigns/games, Torment: Tides, Banner Saga 1) but have never completed any. I even Kickstarted Torment!

Yeah, been keeping an eye on this one since they announced it. It's looking really good... and a shame that The Sinking City doesn't look like it's going to reach this level of quality.

The games that got me excited, surprisingly one of them is an Assassin Creed game.

The games that got me excited, surprisingly one of them is an Assassin Creed game. I'm glad that the Switch has its fair share of JRPGs coming to it. Even if the Switch doesn't have as many third-party games as the other two consoles, it'll at least be able to appeal to a wide range of audiences, especially with the whole selling point being that you can play these games mobile.
