SkyrimIt's hard to say that I gave up on this one, because I didn't really. I have over 120 hours on PC and waaaay more than that on console, but that said... I never finished the main quest. I just didn't care about it and had more fun side questing and exploring. If you finished any faction quest, particularly the Brotherhood, you can count Skyrim as completed. While I did finish the main quest, I only did so once out of my 7? 8? runs through the game. It's worth doing once, but honestly, I thought the faction quests were a lot more fun and interesting. Even the two sides of the civil war are worth doing once, but generally below the faction quests in fun-factor. The DLCs are generally better than the main quest also.

Critical Path: A terrible, buggy FMV game from the nineties. God, this was bad. My brother and I got stuck a few screens in and it was probably for the best. I used to love those games -- 7th Guest, 11th Hour, Quantum Gate I & II. Never heard of Critical Path, though. I checked out an LP, brought back nostalgic memories.

Much better than a lot of the quests in the vanilla game.

Witcher 3After all the hype it fell flat on the 13th hour I played it. Got so bored into the world, Geralt's monotonic talk and drab music. I've not touched it since and have uninstalled it. I'm glad I didnt pay full price. This! I mean the story is quite interesting, imho. But the game itself is so freaking boring; boring gameplay (combats are a joke, imo) ; tedious and repetitive quests.

Mass Effect Andromeda: I tried to, but the sheer amount of 'bleh' in the title, coupled with the stupid level of grinding and fetch questing just made me stop caring. I could't even bring myself to finish the main quest line. The multiplayer, which had helped save ME 3 for me, was even more horrible. I gave it about a solid twenty hour campaign slog, inter mixed with laggy multiplayer sessions, before I called it quits.
Sword of the Stars 2: I actually really liked this turn based 4 strategy game, but overwhelming gameplay mechanics (without a tutorial to be seen), persistent bugs, and being unable to play the game's multiplayer mode online eventually turned me off.
Dishonored 2: Loved the first title, loved the setting, and loved the writing. But after spending about six hours just on the first level, trying to find all the collectables as well striving to get the ghost & non-violent medals, I had to stop. For the sake of my sanity I couldn't see myself trying to do the same for the other levels.
The Old Republic: Way too grindy. Enough so that I lost interest in the class based stories entirely. * Seems to be a trend with BioWare games and their trying to go 'open world' for me*
Planetary Annihilation: Spent $60, downloaded the game, and only played about five minutes of a singe match against bots. Serves me right for making a spur of the moment purchase I guess. Not a fan of the 'spam a thousand of a single unit and alt right click the enemy's base' type strategy games personally.
Total War- Rome 2: Bought it to play with friends online…. and we only set up about three skirmish, siege and naval battles. Haven't touched it since.
The Witcher 3: The setting was awesome, and I was enjoying the story, but the sheer size of (just one of) the maps, plus all the various tasks and activities you could do in each one was too overwhelming. Such is my curse as a completionist I suppose, but at least I know when to say no rather than try and force myself to turn my leisure time into a chore like I did when I ran through Dragon Age: Inquisition.
Homeworld- Remastered: Heard great things about the original, but I just couldn't get into the story for some reason. I might need to give this one a second chance sometime though.
Mordenhiem- City of the Damned: As a fan of Warhammer in general, I wanted to like the game, but the massive difficulty spikes, coupled with the brutal rogue-like nature of the game lead me to stop playing when my prized Skaven warrior died permanently.
Divinity- Original Sin 1 &2: Another series of games I love. I adore the thought of playing but once I actually load into the campaign the sheer scope of all the potential quests, side activities and companions to recruit just scares me off. It's funny, I played through several runs of other RPGs, like Mass Effect as well as Gladius, but I can't seem to bring myself to play these. Same thing with Pillars of Eternity.

Final Fantasy VIIMy one (and only) attempt to play a JRPG. It was recommended to me by a guy who loved all things Japanese (he had an SNK Neo-Geo console), but there's no roleplaying in it. The player just follows along the story. There's nothing to do. Awful game. Not an RPG. Diablo 2Heard good things. Can't imagine what they were. That game has the depth of a mathematical singularity. World of WarcraftI played both EverQuest and EQ2 quite a bit (always solo), and EVE Online is one of my all-time top 10 games, but World of Warcraft was just dull. 6 hours in, I quit. The WitcherThat combat system was intolerable. I lasted about 10 hours. I'm in awe! FF7 was one of the first videogames that I ever played and I only have fond memories of it. But hey, to each their own, I guess.

Witcher 3: good story but hella boring.
Tales of Zestiria: I was hyped when it came out, as I enjoyed other games of this franchise, such as Tales os Symphonia or Tales os Vesperia. There were no likeable or interesting characters; the story was too generic and boring, imho and there was no sense of adventure whatsoever.
Assassin's creed 2: Got it for free but what a waste of time, dull story, repetitive missions and all the jumping... Just not my jam.
Final Fantasy X: What a joke of a game, I mean...

I'm in awe! FF7 was one of the first videogames that I ever played and I only have fond memories of it. But hey, to each their own, I guess. FF7 was released 12 years after what I still consider to be the greatest CRPG ever made: Ultima 4. Ultima 4 will likely always be the standard by which I judge games.

I've only heard great stuff about it tho, such as that it unique and innovative for that time; with a quite deep plot. I guess I could give it a try Regarding FF7, I played it a long time ago, and, idk, I feel very nostalgic and maybe its just that; fond memories. If I played it again now I may find it boring or something.
I remember enjoying FF7 7-8-9 and 12 a lot tho.

Witcher 3. The game was a birthday present, played it for roughly 6 hours and then lost interest. I simply never managed to connect with the protagonist, the combat mechanics and the game world itself. It felt like a pretty good game but it simply wasn't meant for me.

Deus Ex (the recent one). Twice. I tried, but the combat mechanics were such a faff, and the protagonist isn't exactly 'Mr Personality', so didn't make it far, tried again making it less far.

Deus Ex (the recent one). Twice. I tried, but the combat mechanics were such a faff, and the protagonist isn't exactly 'Mr Personality', so didn't make it far, tried again making it less far. I've played Mankind Divided twice (and HR three times). It's not as good as Human Revolution and first time round I wasn't impressed. It grew on me in the second playthrough, and I think I enjoyed it more because I played it full stealth, no kill. In my first combat run it was awkward as DE has rarely has good combat, it's always excelled in sneaking. But I think you have to be more invested in the franchise to stick with it than you did with HR. And yes, Adam was less charming and had even less emotion, which sucked because I liked him in HR. Thought of another - Indiana Jones and the Fate of AtlantisI have a rose-tinted glasses view of LucasArt games. They fill me with nostalgia but I forget that I hated playing them. Monkey Island and Grim Fandango frustrated me so why I thought I'd like this, I dunno. It was purely Jesse Cox saying that it was one of his favourite games, we have similar tastes so I decided to 'enjoy' a point and click game again. I enjoyed it this much -

"Kingdoms of Amalur" (because of lack of customization for key bindings).
"Warhammer 40K: Space Marine." Loved it really, but there was some fight I just couldn't beat at some point. Collected digital dust ever since.
"Stronghold Kingdoms" - "Free" to play, but game was entirely dominated by a few paying players who could buy all too expensive upgrades faster, etc. Got tired after losing a town I spent two months of real time wait time building. Did like the idea behind the game, though.
This game is way back, and I can't remember the title but it was the Sonic the Hedgehog, Sega Genesis game set in a pinball machine setting.

ME3MPBroken multiplayer game, alpha test of ME multiplayer. For me the game is not multiplayer, it was agony and heresy to Mass Effect. Starting from the movement; it was okay for single player, but for multiplayer it was trash. Guns that feel like feather slapping enemys face (its the same at the start in MEAMP too), way overpowered biotics in the beginning, global cooldown, cant find enemies, invisible enemies, slow reaction to any commands, bugs galore... I endured it sometime with friends, but as there were no PUGs in lobbies and game wasnt fun at all in the end, I stopped playing it. Every kit moves like a lead suit on, every animation takes ages to do (and you die when doing one wrong evade) and generally the game is very broken. I've played multiplayers since DooM, and I thought "a ME multiplayer? it might be good and fast unlike singleplayer"
