Actually you may be right re adding Alexios as not an after thought but maybe as a lesser priority, I thought it may have just been my imagination but Kass does seem to have a few more lines and I think more conversation with Barnabas. It is weird in the RPG field...and of course this comes down to personal opinion...but it is just so bizarre how often the female voice actress performs better...even if only slightly...then the male. I've preffered Fem Shep, Fem Hawke, Femquisitor and now Kass. Only RPGs I've played where I've preffered the man is Andromeda and Tom Taylorson. I guess if I'd have to choose between the two in FO 4 it would be Courtney Taylor but neither of them delivered great perfomrances (though that could be a problem with RP). And since voice acting quality often determines which of the characters I consider my 'canon' pts and the people I am likely to replay over and over again... I just wonder if these companies do tend to cast better women VAs for one reason or another...or if its just that I just prefer the sound of women's voices more...because they are women. It seems more like they give different voice direction to the actors. What I see (well hear technically) is that the female voice shows more emotions than the male ones in most games. It's probably based on the social norm that manly = stoic and girly = emo. Saying that, I believe it is the opposite in Odyssey (I haven't tried Alexios)? I read that Alexios was rather hammy compared to Kassandra who is more stoic.

It's strange even regardless of VA I usually prefer to play as the female protag if there is a choice but yeah I agree in terms of the VA's you highlighted above except I haven't played the Fallout games and Male Shep was my preferred but I played them both about the same number of times. In regards to MEA I far preferred Sara over Scott 12 PT's to 4 but that just may have been because I struggled to play Ryder as serious and felt Sara's VA nailed the comedic sassy thing better. I doubt its a conscious choice to cast better women VA's but maybe women do the emotive range better and that appeals to me more.

Funny, I thought Sara did serious and genuine better while Scott was better as the less serious and sassy one.

For me Kassandra delivers her lines more appropriately in various moments in terms of emotional delivery, tone, subtlety of volume and pitch etc. just the million ways she says Malaka is an example in various conversations. For me Alexios was a like a voiceover of a Black and White Greek speaking 1920's version of Hercules lots of tone but it rarely changed from the put on macho tough guy thing. this movie I thought was pretty funny actually

I did too for the most part but Sara came off as being too casual sometimes down to beind downright childish once or twice where I felt I could play Tom Taylorson as being much more serious and his humor, while understated, actually got more of a genuine laugh reaction from me.

So a small amount of ACOD yesterday. Found myself near the island that Pythagoras is on so decided to knock that part of the game over as I'd already killed the Minotaur, then went and killed The Sphynx and happened upon the only two mercenaries that were above me in the top tier S4. So chased them down and actually made easy work of them, was mostly disappointed because I have never got that wide brimmed farmers hat and the top guy was wearing one and I hoped I'd get it as loot but alas no. Damn it I wanted your hat!!!! Hi Dad Oooh Australia Poor Sphynx

Hey has anyone encountered problems with doing Barnabas quest a friend to die for? Does anyone know if you have to do it in a particular order, I had no problems last time but I just tried to do the Witch quest and the marker was in the completely wrong place in the middle of the sea and 150m further down than you could swim? Sailed to Paros Island but the marker stayed in the wrong place???? Anyway switched to The Cyrens one and the marker is in the right place, hopefully the witch one will be ok after doing the Cyrens one. So looks like I can't finish the quest A Friend Worth Dying For because the marker for the Wine for Swine sub-quest is still in the wrong place even having completed the other two quests and so I cannot find her on Paros Island. I tried verifying the files but that didn't work and I can only find one other person online having had this issue and there's was fixed by a patch ages ago. Anyone have any ideas on whether there is another quest or part of the story I may need to complete? I am at the point of the family quest line of going to Sparta.

There is loot showing up behind the door but I can't get in, and I've done Eppie's quest so it's not one of those. Unless there's a random stele to find. Of course it could also just be set dressing.

So I started slaughtering the Cult. I think I got three of them but for the life of me...i... oh right I killed the one on Andros too.
Ahem anyways. It is nice to do a bit of selective murder every now and then. You can bend roleplay...a bit. In order to turn your character into a murdermachine on command. This is also really easy to do when the ways to murder a bitch are so much more easy to just knock them out. Especially when Death Veil makes everyone go invisible when you kill them and knocking them out doesn't.
For instance at the port of Nisia in Megaris slaughtered the guard contingent to a man since there was a cultist there... they were probably in league.
Or that one fort in Eubeoa (yes I am bad at names) where they dragged that poor farmer there on behalf of the Dagger...they were probably corrupt and on the take...so I slaughtered every one of them to a man.
I just have to watch out for apparently Rush assassinate doesen't distinguish between soldiers you had just freed...and enemies...so I accidentally killed a bunch of Athenians I just rescued because well, I thought they were bad guys! Also...this didn't happen to me much in my last PT (If at all) but I was going around slaughtering those guards in the fort pretty stealthily, but in the last area, I picked up one hell of a bounty. I was like what the?!...it might've been one of the last guards I missed, but there were civvies all around me. I confirmed my theory when I was escaping with them in the cave under the thing, ran into a Spartan guard who was like 'if you get any closer I'll...so I went into overpowered mode and killed him...which picked up a bounty. I'm saving you you ungrateful swine.
This playthrough I have so far kept up my with my promise of reading through the cult clues...since that was the only real character that many of these people actually get. And I learned that apparently the Followers of Ares are under control of the cult and also the leader of the Eyes gave up Sotero to my murdering ways. Interesting.
Oh before I forget it was funny apparently Death Veil works on cultists too. That would be embarrasing as hell to 'lose' one of them.

Anyone have any ideas on whether there is another quest or part of the story I may need to complete? I am at the point of the family quest line of going to Sparta. As I've only played it once (and didn't run into any hiccups) I can't think of what might be causing the issue. Have you gone to their support forum? Yeah it worked fine for me first time too, not sure what the story is with this PT but I could only find one other person (on steam) that had experienced the same problem, very strange. Nah, I thought about posting it on the Ubi Support page but I can't see that there will be anything they can do TBH. I don't want to go back to an earlier save as I have accomplished too much since and I have zero interest in reinstalling the game. I am disappointed as I wanted the witch in my crew but other than that I don't really care except that I hate leaving things incomplete. EDIT: Just checked Ubi Support and no one has ever reported the issue. FYI this is where the marker is showing the witch's location: EDIT 2: so went back to Paros and found the witch, she was hiding in a bush being attacked by a Lion!!!!!! Killed the lion and she attacked me, after cooldown couldn't interact. Loaded save again, again she was being attacked by a lion and hiding, killed Lion from stealth and this time she didn't attack but still couldn't interact. Will try again later. However to take out my frustrations went and killed the two Cyclops.

What - you didn't want to go deep sea diving? She might've been a sea witch! But seriously, that is weird... if one of her lions is attacking her, it's really gone awry. And from your screenshot - apparently she's already dead.
