Been doing the romances with the current playthrough, and yeah it is clear that for most of these characters they were made with only the romance path in mind. Some of them are kind of sweet though, I just hate how you have to have sex with them. I finally did the Kyra romance this PT. I didn’t interact much with Thaletas in order to make his death less tragic. I botched his romance the PT in which I meant to see it. I like Kyra, Roxana and Lykaon. I wish they’d been afforded real potential. I’ve not yet met Natakas. I did like Neema, but the forced nature of the romance took the wind out of the story. I felt like a spectator to a cheesy romance plot, which is precisely what I was. 😆

Rome is a great setting, no doubt. They’ve never failed to make any setting interesting; though they could’ve done much, much better with the French Revolution. I’m ready for an Asian setting, and/or a less ancient setting. There are so many fascinating stories to be told outside of the regions well known in the west. I feel like they’ve neglected the rest of the world on account of marketing. I’m confident that a well made AC game will sell even if it’s set in a time and place alien to western gamers. Have Ashraf Ismail at the reins and consumer fears will be minimized. Yeah there is so much potential there that they aren't using. Not just with Asia, but other parts of the world too like the ancient Americas.

Maybe something super clever like “Aquila”? I’m more than ready for a return to Eagle Senses instead of actual eagles that gaze through 99m of stone. It’s not the gameplay mechanic that bothers me. It’s fine as a UAV in a modern setting. It’s how completely out of place and unexplained it is in AC that bothers me. I realize it’s just an Ubi mechanic transplanted from Far Cry and GR, but they could’ve at least tried to explain it in-game during one of last two games. The games were certainly long enough to squeeze it in somewhere. It's no worse than the amazing GPS tracking that the mercenaries have and how they can instantly travel from one side of Greece to the other I suppose!!!!

dazk, the bonus of your second weapon always stacks, so you can definitely go that route. As soon as posted last night, I started doubting my memory. I need to log in and check whether it’s the LotFB sword or something else that grants the extra chained enemy. I’m logging in now, so I’ll have details momentarily. 😆 Okay, there are a number of pretty good Assassin swords. Pride of the Lion from LotFB gives “RA chains to +1 enemies”. Xiphos of Peleus gives “+20% Damage with RA”. If you’re optimizing RA, it’s hard to beat those. Xiphos of Dionysos gives “+20% Damage with Hero Strike”, which is solid. Right now, I’m using two daggers for my All-Purpose Assassin. I have Arachne’s Stinger engraved with “+1 RA chain” and an epic dagger, Okaleia’s Lotus Dagger, that compliments it (+18% Assassin/+30% Daggers/+40% Poison/+10% All). I kind of wanted to go with staves, but my dagger gear was too great to ignore. Plus, daggers hit fast, which is great for a crit-build. It took a few hours into the NG+ to start getting the ridiculously good gear, but it happened naturally as I just played the story. My Mastery Levels are pretty focused: Hunter Damage +20% Crit Chance +3.6% (More will go here, but it’s a slow build-up, so I decided to invest elsewhere for a while) Headshot Damage +25% Warrior Damage +18% Armor Penetration +4.8% (My current focus/experiment, to see if it’s good.) Damage Dealt Restored as Health +2.1% (Probably unneeded, but I’ll return to it eventually) Assassin Damage +18% CRIT Chance while Full Health +9% (I’ll eventually add more, but it's a slow grind for this one, too.) Damage vs Elites and Bosses +12% I’m mostly happy with the perks I have. I need a lot more points to fully develop them. Those CRIT perks feel like they offer diminishing returns, in a way. It’s frustrating to improve CRIT Chance by +0.4% per point while I can improve Armor Penetration by 1.2% per point. The relative costs are probably balanced, for the most part; but that slow burn definitely shapes my choices. There are absolutely diminishing returns on the +Assassin/Warrior/Hunter perks. That’s why I only maxed Hunter, while leaving Assassin and Warrior at 15/20. I’m curious to see whether Armor Penetration makes an impact. It seems like it could be important, but it might be a while before my simple observation tells me anything. My wife and MiL will be out, today, so I should get some quality gaming time (and peace). I’m also watching the NCAA tournament, so that will cut into it. My Tar Heels play at 2:40pm EST. 😬 If you are using daggers it's just about mandatory to put as many points as you can into the perk for a chance to deal 25% Assassin damage with each hit. With 5% chance my Sword sometimes almost 1-hit crit KOs Mercenaries out of the blue. I think the damage dealt is actually more than 25% (the description used to be 100%). Probably the most OP perk in the game and with daggers you increase the odds of it proccing. It's funny to see it with my Sword - plink, plink, plink a tiny bit of damage, then WHAM 70% health gone.

So yesterday Kassandra continued her hunt for her child with Darius. Small amount of play time but packed in killing 4 of The Order of The Ancients, including one who invited Kass for a horse ride and then asked if he could leave without being killed!!!!!!! Mmmm perhaps a dumb question to a mother whose son has been stolen!!!! So of course he met with a messy ending as did the other two. A few mercenaries decided they needed some extra cash but ended up needing to spent their existing coin paying The Ferryman. Seriously why do they even bother!!!!!! Then Kass headed back to meet with Darius and the Athenian General and made a plan to burn the lumber yards to scare off the innocent workers and then Kass got to work killing guards to get them one step closer to hopefully getting her kid back. Pic's Dead Ancients Yes people do all the time and you'll shortly be joining them you smug SOB Another one bites the dust And another one And another one - sure you are getting the point by now Time to make it all burn!!!!

So finished the DLC, finally. Don't think it ha ever taken me so long to complete a DLC but damn RL amongst other things got in the way plus a bit of ACOD gaming fatigue. At completion of all DLC to date have just hit 287hrs. I started the game on the 14th of October 2018 I think and not long after starting had to break for two weeks due to going away, so approximately 5 months of almost continuous gameplay and for the most part I have loved every moment, I'll just pretend the whole mercenary thing doesn't exist!!!!! At a cross roads now, have started TD2 and now that I don't have ACOD hanging over my head I am tempted to see if that gives me the required focus and patience to play it solo. Alternately I want to do an Alexios PT (NG+) but not sure if I should take a break from ACOD or keep going till the Atlantis DLC comes out. I also have a friend asking me to play SWTOR which I have never played, I know almost nothing about it but have only heard people mention well of it. I also having had to abort my last MEA PT due to a bug am keenly tempted to give that another "quick" PT. Aaaaghh too much choice!!!!! Anyway I enjoyed the LoTFB DLC very much, the end was predictable and I am glad my choice with the kids who were going to leave the island turned out OK (was sweating that one). Honeslty a bit disappointed with the sword you get at the end, all game I have used overpower exactly two times to try both the bow and the melee option and have never used it since so the engraving is useless to me. Maybe I'll play Alexios as a Warrior and can use it. For the next couple of days I intend to try out the new armour set and earn some more Ori. Does coin carry over to NG+? Pic is a potential DLC spoiler

Speaking of the Kyra romance though...while it is my favorite to I really feel like I might've missed something with some of the comments I have read and then reading the comments through here. I thought I got a fairly happy ending but I am not sure I lied to Thalatus

I thought I got a fairly happy ending but I am not sure I lied to Thalatus I guess you romanced Thaletas too? Because if you romance only Kyra, Thaletas gets jealous and you have to kill him, than you have the option to tell Kyra the truth, which will make her break up with you, or feign ignorance about the guy's fate.

So yesterday Kassandra continued her hunt for her child with Darius. So Kass has a kid. I'm guessing the dad is the Darius guy. Is the kid a boy or girl? How far in the future does it take place after the events of the main game? Does this mean that the kid might be the next main character in a new assassin's creed game? Is the dlc worth getting?

No, the father is Darius' son. If you play as Alexios, instead he has a daughter who is the mother. The child is always a boy. Takes place during the events of the game. The first episode unlocks after you find your mother. No, there is a cutscene at the end that shows a montage of generations leading up to seeing Aya from Origins. No, it is not worth getting.

The weapon in this Lost Tales of Greece mission has to be the most ironically named weapon in the game. It's called the Hero's Sword, but to get it after the end you need to burn an innocent person's farm silos thus acting like a villain.

It's best played as a subscriber though, as the amount of restrictions placed on F2P players in crazy. It's not much better if you have preferred status. I really must sub again as I'm starting to feel the itch I need to scratch. Oh and play Sith Warrior first, it's one of the best class stories IMHO. Then again I have four Sith Warriors so I might be a tad biased

Yes in the DLC, Legends of The First Blade you can choose to be happy about it and want to have a relationship with Darius's son or just do it for the sake of the bloodline. My Kass did it for love "cringe" and I actually enjoyed playing it that way, the son Natakas is a bit dawky but likeable enough. It has a story line effect as to what transpires later but you cannot in anyway I see play as the kid in a later game, did you play Origins, if not the ending may not make sense. It was enjoyable for me, much the same as the rest of the game but different enemies and the story itself is OK. I'd say yes its worth getting.
