I did find the sword....couldn't pull it from the stone, though Preorder cancelled. Ugh - yeah, the pain of someone who has all items at level X, except one which is a level below. I did watch a video about upgrades and the 'economy' of them. Apparently the items special stats upgrade at level intervals? As a result, I upgrade every 10 levels, starting at level 15. Apparently this makes the total cost of upgrades cheaper than upgrading every level or two. LOL I hoped I'd be able to remove it as well!!!!! Yeah I am bit OCD like that!!!! Early on I was upgrading all the time and chewing through resources but I now try and do it every ten levels but that was not based on any science. So are you saying from L15 the stats upgrade every 10 levels , so 25, 35 etc.... Think I am at L84 for most of my gear and and Kass is currently L88 I think. I am wearing the pirate gear, may be time to try and chase down all those items as the when you get the Legendary's again it resets the stats to at least 2 levels below your current I think. Yeah, I'm slowly picking up this infamous Pirate set Hrungr keeps talking about At the moment I'm in the full Amazon set, really, really loving the look and the 5% of damage dealt returned as health is AWESOME when you are able to use Assassin abilities in active combat I've added +10% Assassin damage to every item that will take it and am slowly adding Assassin damage upgrades in the Master-whatever Ability point thing. Edit - just saw your question, sorry - yeah. That's how I'm upgrading my weapons and armour. I started off doing it every second level, but I was always having to leave one or two pieces (plus the secondary weapon) behind. And then this video popped up in my Youtube rec list one day. I tried its philosophy and since then, I've never been short of gold or materials for upgrades

So been limited timewise playing lately and haven't had time to post last couple of days plus damn annoying back problem giving me grief if I sit too long!!!!!! So essentially all I have done is finish Xenia's quests and to clear all the quests etc. there. Then noticed there was a cultist nearby on Delos so went and killed him and cleared some stuff there including taking down the number 1 Merc in the top tier (S4?). I hate that all it did was move me up one single position in S2, the guy one hit me for about 90% damage yet 2nd time round I managed to take him down without getting hit in 3 shots. Stealth attack dropped him to about 75%, Heroic Strike took about 50% to 60% more off him and then Fury of the Bloodline finished him before he got a shot in. Then headed to Mykonos as it was nearby just to open up the fast travel spots for when I have to come back there later. Then headed back to Athens and had forgotten about thw whole plague thing (Doh ) so started that with Hippokrates. Pic's That looks uncomfortable even in death (warning pic may be considered offensive) Ouch. At first I was 'why would that be offensive'? ....then I saw the boot... Funnily when I was going through my screenshots I'd forgotten why I had taken the shot and like you I was what this shot all about, then "OH Yeah". I was a bit uncertain whether to post it or not but it was just such a weird death configuration I decided to just put a warning!!!!

The Pirate set is great for that (Athena Set isn't bad either) as it CRIT and CRIT Damage bonuses. I have then assigned all my mastery points to Assassin Damage, Assassin Abilities etc. and cant basically Assassinate just about anyone except theose that are L99 at this stage and Rush Assassination kills even them as I have extra damage +20 added to that as well. Speaking of really tough opponents... Steropes "The Lightning Bringer" - any suggestions? For ages he was too high level, then I got to his level and he was way, waaaaay too hard so I went away and levelled up a couple of times. And he's levelled with me...

I'm running a mix-n-match armor set which eeks out a little more performance than the Pirate set, but it's overkill. The Pirate Set build is already more than you'll need.

IIRC, I ran a high-crit assassin build against him. I think I leaned on Hero Strike, War Cry (for 20 sec of "not dying"), Slow Time, and ???. I hear a poison/fire archer hunter build (crit heavy) is a good way to go as well. It'll depend largely on what gear you have to lean on.

The last time I tried - and the closest I got - was using fire arrows but I need to find away to not die in two hits. He has some kind of AoE attack that just nuked me.

One tip for trying to go for the quick kill (instead of playing the dodge-game)... If you have the Atlantis upgrade to War Cry, and a good Assassin Build, activating it right next to the Cyclops will deal a ton of damage, then you have 10 sec to wail on him for 33% Assassin damage and you'll be immune to dying during that time. Follow that up with a Hero Strike and I think with even a moderately decent Assassin build you should kill him right there.

It's not hard to get (the upgrade's on a tablet), but unfortunately you do have to play the DLC to get it.

I read an article and Hrungr also posted it here somewhere about a "CRIT" build where you can basically one hit kill even really tough enemies in stealth. Yeah I never went down the full CRIT path, I still have engravings for Sword damage, Adrenaline etc. mainly as you can't avoid Melee combat all the time. DragonKingRebornHere are my stats if you are interested. In regards to Sterotropes and The Lightning Bringer I dropped the difficulty to easy the first time I fought them and it was a walk in the park. There AoE attacks are pretty easy to avoid and you can usually get a few arrows in from a distance, other than that I try and just keep getting behind him to avoid getting hit. I will try them at Normal this time but have put it off cause I am worried my build will be a limitation however I have had no difficulty with the beasts I have faced for Daphnae. For the legendary animals I can't use RA I have had to rely on trying to get some arrow shots in (I am running poison damage) and then relying on Heroic Strike and Fury if The Bloodline, then run away and wait for them to recharge and get some arrows in to them if I can. That's the process I'll use against the cyclops dudes.

So yesterday finished the return trip to Athens and gave Aspasia a bit of a smackdown for getting Phoibe killed. Then took her to Naxos to find Phoenix (I love how they pronounce it their Greek accents) and to reunite with Myrinne. I really like how they did that scene, it could have been really over done, I think they found a nice balance. Anyway if I ever find myself in Greece I have determined to go to Naxos it looks like a lovely island. Then just went round the island clearing "?" and completing whatever was there. I may just be forgetting but I have no memories of killing guards whilst fishing before. Yesterday they seemed to be all over Naxos and I killed quite a few. Killed some animals, stumbled on Red Skull Merc. who every time I got him down to 99% dead would miraculously kill me with his spear even though I was way out of his reach. After 3 attempts I got into position to hit him with RA, then HS, then FoTB and then used that specialty tactic of running away to set up another RA which worked. Then started doing the missions for Myrinne/Aspasia and took down the cultist guards, next to recue Myrinne Naval commander and reduce Praxos nation power. Some Pic's Poor Old Perikles "Requiescat in pace" Hi Mum The God of Wine, you'd think she'd look happier: From a distance it looked like the kids were playing with the crab but they were just doing there normal animations: Bit of underwater exploration and treasure hunting

So finished the Naxos side of finding mum and next Kass is off to find Dad after handing in a few completed quests. Completed going to Paros and clearing everything and reducing the Nation Power to zero, took down the Quarry undetected (its one of the tougher ones IMO) and took care of a couple of mercenary including one Red Skull who was in the top tier. For once my patience and the gods were on my side, I marked her and whilst I completed other things checked out her routine and then set up an ambush. Cleared the camp of soldiers nearby so she'd get no help and waited in cover for her to come sit her anointed spot, filled her full of poisonous arrows then waited for her to come find me, hit her with RA and then HS and whilst she was on the ground ran for a place I knew had cover. That's where the gods helped as I ran to my spot I ran into an Alpha Wolf, I had cleared the site of the other wolves previously but the Alpha hadn't spawned. So when the mercenary followed me she actually distracted the wolf from me and got stuck fighting it, I climbed a pillar and effectively became hidden and then chained RA from the merc to the wolf to the merc again and that's all she wrote!!!!! Happy Days!!!!! Other than that did some side quests (including taking Xenia's brother back to Keos, he'd been on the Adrestia for ages) and quite a lot of sailing and ship fighting. Some pic's When you have that sinking feeling in your stomach: Sailing, lotsa sailing good thing I enjoy it. Some ship board fighting, sorry about the spear in the head Aya:

So, following Hrungr advice above made a difference I played thru One Really Really Bad Day. Omg. Just. Wow. All the facepalms. It was great. Oh my god - that was fun! The Blacksmith The Horse Trainer - I...just don't have words for this one... And the 'hero'...I think Kassandra's face says everything that needs to be said... After the fight, which was over almost before it started thanks to Rush Assassinate chaining three times and every item I had equipped adding 10% to Assassin Damage, I tracked down the imposter... And that fight was over almost before it started as well... Then I finished up the quest to get bear pelts for the armourer and started in on Chapter Two of Legacy. Cleared out the fort and rescued the prisoners and will set off to see Kleta next time.

So, following Hrungr advice above made a difference Woo! I still haven't gotten to "A Really, Really Bad Day" yet, but glad to hear that it's a fun one.

I don’t get why people like the Really Bad Day one or find it funny. It was cringeworthy. Worst one easily.

So, following Hrungr advice above made a difference Woo! I still haven't gotten to "A Really, Really Bad Day" yet, but glad to hear that it's a fun one. It felt a little shorter than the other Lost Tales I've played, although that might simply be that I'm better accustomed to combat and - in particular - how the game provides information. Regardless, a lot of fun. It was a Really bad day...

Omg. Just. Good post I especially love your Kass Facepalm shot and congrats on Steretropes (SP?)!!!!! So tempted to just jump to A really bad day now, was going to leave all the Lost Tales till the end of this PT BUT think I will start them today. It will help to clear the quest log and I'll just do them all in a row.

I was feeling pretty confident so went straight from him to Arges His AoE attack was even worse. Using more or less the same strategy, though, I was able to take him down. Though I ended up needing to kill him twice . I was using War Cry of Ares for the 'not-dying' but didn't notice I was on zero health while finishing him off AND on fire myself, so Arges went down, just as War Cry ended and the fire took me! Not. Happy. Yeah - the Lost Tales have all been fun, doing them all in a row will give a pretty huge XP hit as well.

A quote from a book I read ages ago comes to mind: "Cocky, Confident, Dead."
